    In the exact moment when the sun shines bright and lets the snow glitter around you, showing you again all that beauty of the surrounding mountains, it becomes clear, that it will be a wonderful experience. A guided morning hike across the snow covered Seiser Alm is surely an experience of a kind. Meeting point with the hiking guide is in front of the info point in Compatsch on the Seiser Alm at 8 a.m. With warm winter clothes and maybe hiking poles, we start from Compatsch heading to the Gostner Schwaige, where a set table is waiting for us. Now it is time to enjoy the reach breakfast and the merry company, before we return to the starting point with the hiking guide.

    Design meets ecology – Geothermal energy at the Oberholz Alpine Chalet Guided tour with hearty snack The Oberholz Alpine Chalet is a very special place. With a thoroughly modern design including a comfortable lounge area and giant glass viewing windows. Just like the entire Obereggen ski and hiking area, we here at the Oberholz Alpine Chalet value energy efficiency. We heat using geothermal energy. The entire exterior façade is covered with larch wood slats, and the interior paneling consists of spruce wood. An expert will explain how the whole concept works. And afterwards, in the three parlor rooms floating above the legendary Oberholz ski slopes, you can enjoy a hearty snack amidst the authentic surroundings.     Bobby, the circus monkey, provides an entertaining children's music programme on the town square with his funny, lively and atmospheric songs. The Bobby live show is a special experience that the children will remember. As barley soup with smoked carré was usually cooked for lunch on Fat Thursday, young people and children would sleep in their neighbours' houses to swap the soup pot with the tasty dish for a pot with an old shoe floating in the water. The Ladin song "Ncuei juebia grassa..." was written for this occasion. In keeping with tradition, barley soup is served on the village square in S. Cristina on Carnival Thursday.
