Gabriele Ciot, from Cortina d'Ampezzo, has been passionate about drawing since a young age, graduating from the Cortina Art Institute in 2006. He later took watercolor and drawing courses and exhibited his works in exhibitions between Cortina and Padua. He prefers trees and mountains as his subjects, fascinated by the shapes and contrasts that light creates on them.

Together with the herb fairy Tamara you will get to know different herbs and their effects and enchant them with various recipes for products: creams, ointments, tinctures, juice, salt,.... She will share her knowledge about different herbs with you and will be happy to answer all your herbal questions! In the end you will be rich in various recipes and homemade herbal products. Picnic in the most beautiful places in Niederdorf Villabassa, in the middle of the Dolomites Tuesdays to Fridays Enjoy an idyllic picnic amidst the breathtaking Dolomites. The filled picnic basket can be reserved through the Tourist Info. It can be picked up from 9 am and returned within 6 pm of the same day or the next morning at 9 am. The picnic basket is filled with local products: bread, cheese, sausages, pastries and fruit from Villabassa and the surrounding area. The basket also contains a reusable glass bottle, which you can use to fill up with fresh water at the public fountains. (Vegetarian option on request). Alma Mahler welcomes you The composition house in Carbonin Vecchia reopens its doors in the summer months....with a very special hostess Anyone who cultivates a passion for culture and music knows that Dobbiaco holds a treasure trove. Lying on a meadow overlooking the village and the entire valley, close to the forest towards Pian di Maia, is a small, simple wooden building. The building at first glance appears very modest, but stands proud and aware of its incredible significance and history. Between those planks, in fact, the famous Bohemian composer Gustav Mahler, accompanied by his beloved Alma, between the summers of 1908 and 1910, found peace and inspiration to compose some of his most beautiful and important symphonies, among them 'Das Lied von der Erde' (The Song of the Earth). After careful restoration, the composition house at the Trenkerhof finally reopens its doors to all those who want to breathe in the history and atmosphere of the Belle Epoque. During the summer months of July and August, every Wednesday and every Friday from 3 to 5 p.m., in collaboration with the Santer Family, owner of the cultural asset, every visitor will have the chance to step back in time and breathe in the magic of those places and the surrounding nature. They will be welcomed by a very special hostess... Alma, the composer's beloved companion until her death in 1911, herself an eclectic and important figure in the history of world culture, who will make the visit even more special with stories and anecdotes. Admission to the park and the composition house is free of charge. We start with the public bus to Vierschach/Versciaco and go with the cable car to the Helm/Monte Elmo (2.050 m). Here the hike begins via the Hüttensteig path nr. 20 to the Rif. Sillianer Hütte hut. After a refreshment (hut or self-catering), the way back is via the old Helmhaus at 2.434 m. With a 360° view between the Italian-Austrian border, we learn a lot about the exciting history of this area. Descent via hiking trail nr. 4a and the Rif.
