From Passo Gardena to the easily reached summit of Sas Ciampac, amidst splendid varieties of flowers and on the trail of fossilised shells that remind us that the Dolomites originated from the sea millions of years ago. The Cier pass and the Puez plateau make this excursion to the Ciampac, which at 2672 metres above sea level offers a view that is nothing short of spectacular, even more fascinating.

The Conturines cave, discovered in 1987, is 200 metres long and located at 2750 metres above sea level. The bones of a previously unknown species of bear - Ursus ladinicus - were found in the cave. It is the highest find in the world. To reach this fascinating place, you have to climb one thousand metres of altitude difference, some of it on steep scree, but the sight is well worth it.

Join us on an exciting journey into the world of firefighters in South Tyrol and Alta Badia!
Discover their daily work up close by visiting a fire station, where you can observe emergency vehicles, state-of-the-art equipment, and the strategies used to ensure the safety of the community. Through stories from the members of the San Cassiano fire brigade, you will learn about their activities throughout the year and the challenges firefighters face every day, from rescue operations to fire-fighting and civil protection interventions (in Italian language).
A unique experience for both young and old, focused on discovery and respect for these modern heroes!

Adventure, adrenalin and breath-taking views: all this lies store for you in the exciting 4 Peaks Alta Badia challenge. The aim of this challenge is to conquer the four summits Sas dla Crusc - Santa Croce 2,907 m, Piza dales Diesc - Cima Dieci 3,02 6m, Lavarela 3,055 m and Conturines 3,064 m, on the edge of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park in the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage.
The ascent of these four mountains is to be attempted only by experienced climbers, as these peaks cannot be reached just on easy, well-sign-posted paths, but also via routes with some very exposed sections.
As proof of your achievement you will have a pass which must be stamped every time you reach one of the four summits. All those who manage to complete the challenge in two or more days will have the title “Alta Badia Finisher” conferred upon them. If you manage to complete the ascent of all four summits in one day you will be crowned with the coveted and highly deserved title of “Alta Badia Mountaineer”.
In both cases you will take up your place of honour in the “Wall of Fame” which can be viewed online.

Their repertoire ranges from meditative sounds with handpan and viola to energetic rhythms with percussion instruments that inspire dancing.

When you reach Forcela Salares, one of the most beautiful notches in the whole area, and the Piza Salares peak, you’ll find edelweiss and the beautiful little Lagació lake, with its constantly changing colour. We are in the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park with spectacular views over Lagazuoi and Conturines.

La Villa is home to one of the headquarters of the “Croce Bianca”, a voluntary organization that provides first aid. Lukas became a volunteer at the age of thirteen and has never stopped helping those in need in the valley. During this visit you will learn what volunteering in the mountains is all about and you will soon realize that these helpful people have a big heart.

La Val embodies how the harmonious relationship between humans and the landscape is one of the most important features of Ladin culture. On a walk with Gerhard through the "viles", the ancient farmers' dwellings, you will get a sense of our historical identity with a visit to the old village and discover the cuisine with its traditional dishes, which you can enjoy over lunch in the old tavern.

The closed-off street of Corvara turns into a true open-air market. Visitors can meet beekeepers, cheesemakers, farmers, and herbalists in person, who present and sell their products: organic honey, artisanal cheeses, alpine herbs, and preserves. The food stands, run by local restaurateurs and associations, offer dishes prepared with the same ingredients, providing a genuine farm-to-table experience. Craft beers, natural juices, and other regional beverages complete the offer.

Orienteering is known as the „forest sport“, an outdoor adventure in areas of unspoilt natural beauty.
You set off from Piz Sorega and with the help of the map and compass provided, you have to try and identify a precise course in the shortest time as possible, with check points called “lanterns”, located in the nearby meadows and woods.

A hidden gem in the dolomites, where enchantment meets nature
La Val is the most characteristic and peaceful village of Alta Badia. Situated on the meadows overlooking the Sas de Pütia, here you can still breathe the rural air that once hung over the entire Dolomites. This excursion starts from Biei, a small hamlet of the village, to reach the Rit meadows, marked by the Crusc da Rit cross, the destination of the excursion. From here you can enjoy spectacular views not only of the village of La Val, but also of the surrounding mountains, such as Sas dla Crusc, with the peaks of Sas dales Nü and Sas dales Diesc, and Sas de Pütia. A way to discover and contemplate the beauty of the Dolomites from a secluded, somewhat fairy-tale perspective.

From the Ladin Museum we set off together to discover SMACH Val dl'Ert (Art Valley), an open-air sculpture park which in 2023 has one of the special mentions in the National Landscape Award sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Culture. Along the path you will see more than 25 works of art set in an alpine forest, among the fir trees and pastures of a stretch of unspoilt nature. This is a permanent exhibition of sculptures acquired as a result of the SMACH art competition, the Dolomites Biennale. After the guided tour in the Val dl’Ert you can independently visit the Ladin Museum where you can immerse yourself in the history, culture and traditions of the Ladin people.
