The Felbe summit is with its northwest mountainside to the Pfitsch valley a ski tour classic in the Pfunderer mountains. The beautiful ski slopes are a special reward here.

Circular hiking tour along the Ladurns lake with panorama view to the Weißwand and Tribulaun summits.
Follow the trail 12A by the pass to the Penserjoch lake. Turn right and follow the ascent to the Gänsekragen summit (2322m). Descent on the eastern crest side to the Penserjoch pass. Lunch possibility: Gasthof Alpenrosenhof, Penserjoch Alm
Alpine ski tour from Gossensass/Colle Isarco along the organic certified Hühnerspielhütte/Cima Gallina mountain hut to the panoramic view on the Amthorspitze/ Cima Amthor summit. Especially the long slope of the former skiing area up to the summit offers perfect touring slopes.

Easy ski tour for beginners on the Rosskopf leisure mountain at Sterzing / Vipiteno. Start by the Rosskopf mountain station to the Sterzingerhaus mountain hut and on to the biotope Kastellacke. Turn on left here and beneath the crest upwards to the Rosskopf summit.
The refuge Müllerhütte is located at an altitude of 3.145m above the Übeltalferner and is reachable only crossing the glacier. First route 9 to the refuge Becherhaus then from the Becher slightly descending to a level glacier crossing (watch out for crevices!) till reaching the refuge Müllerhütte.
Surefootedness and apropriate equipment strictly necessary!
Starting point for this sunny panoramic hike is the fire station at Obertelfes/Telves di Sopra (parking possibility). From there hike in direction “Telfer Almen”. After ca. 30 minutes of walking time you reach the timber line. After crossing the bridge follows a short and steep rise, where the path leads forward through spruce forests, downhill towards Telfes. Later cross a forest path and follow the further markings. After a short while you reach a timber line, called “Neun Stangen”. Here you turn left and you reach the farm Jaufnerhof. Walk along the timber line with a stunning view of the valley and go back to the starting point. Wonderful, easy hiking tour for the whole family.
The circular hiking tour connects the villages Maria Trens and Valgenauna - a nice walk for the whole family and don't lose the cultural interesting St. Valentine's church. Suitable for strollers.
The running route located in the valley area starts at the Ratschings valley station. From there, the varied trail leads out of the valley to Jaufensteg. The circuit then returns to the starting point.
The route features a technically more demanding downhill passage and is ideally suited Fartlek training.
The route can be extended or shortened as desired.
Ridnaun High Trail - a panoramic hike in the mining valley By the Rosskopf mountain station in Sterzing / Vipiteno in direction west to the mountain huts Kuhalm and Ochsenalm (mark 23). After the hut Ochesenalm on hike no. 23b, passing downside the summits Telfer Weissen, Wetterspitz and Seeberspitz. After 4 hours you will arrive to the mountain hut Prischeralm. Descend on trail no. 27 to Maiern/Ridnaun and return to Sterzing with the public bus (312).
Easy summit tour for everyone: children, Seniors and inexperienced hikers.
By the Kinzen hamlet accross the stream and upwards through the forest along the steep trail 9 to the Bergl mountain hut (no service). Furtheron on trail 9 through scree to the jag and on the left side along the crest to the summit (2950m).
From the small parking lot at the barrier to the valley Vallicola (Valtigl) walk into the pasture Vallicola. There take trail no. 26 up steeply to the Oberen Entholzalm and further up to the ridge. From the ridge turn right onto Croce di Ratschings/Racines and from the ridge turn left to Punta Alta. The descent takes place on the ascent path back to the starting point.
The last surprise on the leisure mountain.
The Leitenrundweg circular hiking trail runs through the forest beside the Mauls village. A nice panoramic view on the Isarco valley, the valley of trails, is waiting at the highest point.
The Ridnauntal/Val Ridanna Circular Trail starts in Maiern/Masseria. It goes along the Fernerbach stream down the valley to the hamlet of Braunhöfen, where it goes round in a loop. This is followed by a climb up to Gasse and the Joggelehof farm, where you do a loop and then start on your way back. First you follow the same route back to Ridnaun/Ridanna; then you follow the trail in a number of loops of varying degrees of difficulty back up the valley to Maiern/Masseria.
From the parking area at the Mining Museum in Maiern/Masseria follow path no. 9 to Aglsboden. From there follow the path no. 9a past the mountain pasture Aglsalm (2004m, open) up to the beautiful, clear mountain lake. Return either over the same way or follow path no. 9 up to the mountain hut Teplitzer Hütte (2586m). from there continue on path no. 9 back to the point of departure. Requires mountaineering experience and surefootedness!
Follow trail 12A by the Penserjoch pass, passing by the Penserjoch lake and the Steinwand lake. Cross the hillside below the summit and afterwards upwards at the right side along the short fixed rope route.
Lunch possibility: Gasthof Alpenrosenhof, Penserjoch Alm
The Hintertalweg trail leads through the typical Pfitscher high valley. The pleasant walk with slight inclines circles the Pfitsch valley end and allows wonderful views on the peaks of the Zillertal alps. Suitable for strollers.
Start behind the Braunhof farm and follow the trail 6 upwards to the Saun summit (2062m). Further on trail 6 all alon the crest and over the Bairnock summit (2581m) to the Weißspitze summit (2715m), the last part on scree underground. Along the trail 6 on the exposed ridge to the next summit, the Amthorspitze (2753m). A dangerous tract is fixed with an aluminium ladder and a small bridge. Descent to the Hühnerspielhütte mountain hut and return on trail 11 and 3, along the Riedbergalm and Prantneralm mountain huts to the starting point. Lunch possibility: Hühnerspielhütte, Riedbergalm Prantneralm, Braunhof.
The round trail Gaismair is about 15 kilometers long in a range from 950 to 1200 m above sea level and it runs through and around the town of Sterzing. On the path there are short steep and uneven passages and therefore some segments are not very suitable for strollers. Along the trail lies the village of Tschöfs, where the farmer's son Michael Gaismair was born in 1490. He studied law and stood up for the rights of the farmer population during the peasant uprisings.
From the Jaufenpass/Passo Giovo (2094m), sign no. 17 leads in a southeasterly direction up the less steep western slopes, from the south to the rocky summit. On some dangerous parts cable fuses are mounted to defuse all the more delicate points in a pleasant way. A sure foot and no fear of heights is required! Hike along this path back to the starting point.
Alternative: rout no. 12 leads from the Jaufental valley (Schluppes) to the Jaufenpass. Total duration: 1,5-2 hours.
Nice walk thorugh the forest from the Mauls village to the Flans hamlet.
The Viedalm circular hiking trail guides you in to the alpine mountain world at the feet of the rocky summits of Pfitsch valley with a beautiful view over the valley ground.
The new Mushroom Trail starts at the kids playground "Aue"in St. Jakob in the Pfitsch Valley near Sterzing and extends one kilometer through the forest. Information panels along the themed trail inform hikers about the world of mushrooms, their reproduction, and their uses.
The life-sized mushrooms were mainly crafted from wooden elements with a uniform design to ensure recognizability along the entire themed trail. The Mushroom Trail is easy for everyone to walk and offers children and school groups the unique opportunity to learn about the life of mushrooms. Additionally, the themed trail provides visitors with an interesting recreational activity in the forests of the Pfitsch Valley.

You can reach the High alpine trail Pflersch/Fleres via hiking trail 1 from the Stockhof in Giggelberg/Moncucco (you can also take a taxi to just below the Sandjoch/Passo del Santicolo, in this case the hiking time is shortened by approx. 1.5 hours). Follow the serpentines up the forest slope to the forest line and then turn left onto the High alpine trail Pflersch/Fleres (32A) towards the end of the valley. Over the Portjoch past some exposed places, at the foot of the Tribulaun on hiking trail no. 7 to the refuge Tribulaunhütte/ Calciati al tribulaun (2369 m). After the hut continue on trail no. 7 in the direction of Weissspitz/Cima Bianca. You cross the stony slope below the summit and follow the path until shortly before the refuge Magdeburgerhütte/Rifugio Cremona (2425 m). Here you descend via path 6 to Stein/Sasso and via the waterfall path to St. Anton/S. Antonio. Return from St. Anton/S. Antonio to Gossensass/Colle isarco with bus line 313. Stop for refreshments: Tribulaun hut, Magdeburger hut/Cima Cremona, Furtalm/malga Furt.
