The Hochfeilerhütte was built between 1984 and 1986 by the Sterzing section of the AVS just above the former Wiener Hütte. It serves as an ideal base for ascents of the Hochfeiler and its neighboring peaks, as well as for high-alpine crossings into the surrounding valleys.

The ideal location for weddings, christenings, first communions, family and company celebrations. Under new management. Recently renovated and remodelled.

Starting point: Entholz-Gasse (1.438m) This hike starts at the hamlet “Gasse” just before Ridanna. Follow the signpost “Mareiter Stein” southwards along the asphalted road. Go past the group of farmhouses Entholz. Crossing meadows you soon reach the edge of the forest. Turn right across a stream ditch. The path leads over a forest trail with the marking no. 4A steeply up to the first mowing meadows. There is a street which leads over wavy alpine pastures to the mountain pasture Joggelealm. Alternative: also reachable via the path no. 26 towards the mountain pasture Valtiglalm, whereby you have to turn left on path no. 24b after about half way. Also suitable as a mountain bike tour. Tip: daily fresh strudel, musical events and theatrical performances in the stable, sunrise breakfast on reservation

Starting point: valley head Ridanna – Masseria (1.417m) The starting point for this hike is the valley head of Ridanna. Follow the trail no. 28 over a wide path, past the ore processing facility of the mine. The signs to the Stadlalm lead through the beautiful forest of the Lazzacher valley. At the fork turn right to the mountain pasture Stadlalm. Alternative 1: reachable also over the nature trail of the Mining Museum. Alternative 2: circuit cross the panoramic platform Hoher Nock with a 360° panorama view

Helmut, the head of the house, will spoil you with traditional South Tyrolean cuisine and exquisite culinary delights, prepared with fresh products from our own garden and our farm. Autumn time is Törggele time: especially for Törggelen in autumn we serve game specialties, tasty dishes such as smoked meat, meat platters with cabbage, Dumplings, Schlutzer, homemade farmer's bacon, chimney sausage, church donuts, and - of course - roasted chestnuts!

In our three dining-halls – two in Tyrolean rustic style from the year 1908 and one with vaulted ceiling – we serve you delicious creations from our chef Georg Steurer made of the best ingredients of the respective season, fresh fruit and vegetables of local produce as well as home made pasta and sweet delicacies. Elaborate preparation with mainly local ingredients, partly produced on our own farm, which leave nothing to be desired.

(Coming from Vipiteno) Once in Vipiteno continue in the direction of Brennero along the state road (SS12). After about 4 km you reach Colle Isarco. Stay and continue along the state road (SS12) towards Brennero for about 3Km (4min). After 3km you come across a hairpin bend to the right and another to the left. When you reach the hairpin turn to the left, you will see the motorway exit on the right. Next to the exit, take a small paved road and follow it for about 800m. Once you reach the parking lot, continue on foot along the unpaved forest road.

The inn is family runned and is offering local, traditional dishes as dumpling, ravioli and more.

The old sawmill of Casateia is now the caffetteria of the village. Meeting point for the young and less young, opened from early morning to late in the evening.

Cross the Ridanna river at the bridge and keep go left towards the mountain pasture Aglsbodenalm. At an altitude of 1.560m turn right to the mountain pasture Prischeralm. From there go steeply uphill on a forest path to the mountain pasture. Alternative: reachable also from the mountain station Rosskopf Monte Cavallo across the Ridnauner Höhenweg

Many alpinists still know us under the former name Landshuter Hütte. Here you can stop off on your hiking vacation in the Pfitschertal, enjoy the magnificent view with hearty Tyrolean delicacies and spend the night at a wonderful altitude.
