From Gossensass to the hamlet „Jaggl“ in the Pflersch Valley. From here on the road to Innergiggelberg and then to Außergiggelberg and then the dirt road tot he alps of Inner- and Außergiggleberg. On the dirt Road to the “Sandjöchl”. We return on the dirt road to the “Lorenzenberg” and to the croosroaad “Kreuzjoch”. From here on the right on trail nr. 2 and on the dirt road to Außergiggelberg. The same way back we came.

From Brennerbad we take the Brenner cycle path in direction southwest. From the turnoff “Zirogalm” up to the alp of Zirog. Then on the trail nr. 11 to the “Enzianhütte”, the “Gröbner Alm” and the “Luegeralm”. Here left, we come to the dirt road and afterwards to the cycle path and back to the starting point.

In the Ratschings ski area, not far from Sterzing/Vipiteno, advanced skiers carve across 28 kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes, while little ones can practice skiing and playing in the snow at the “Kinderland”. Freestylers are drawn to the “Fun-slope”, featuring steep turns, tunnels, and small jumps. Skiers particularly love the north-facing slopes, offering firm snow conditions well into spring, as well as the forest descent. Above the mountain station, the forest opens up to feature a wide plain that invites you to winter hikes. The toboggan run is the perfect way for the whole family to descend into the valley together. Cross-country skiers will find a challenge on the "Platschjoch High-Altitude Trail," which runs diagonally through the gentle winter landscape on the main chain of the Alps and through spruce forests.

The kitchen artist is Tina Marcelli, a young chef full of vigor and drive, full of new, unconventional ideas. Join her on a culinary journey with unique taste experiences, characterized by traditional craftsmanship, regional products, creativity and multi-layered influences, along the following lines "South Tyrol meets the world". The delicacies are accompanied by renowned wines and sought-after rarities from South Tyrol and from all over the world.

From the train station in Gossensass, we bike in the direction of Pflersch to Giggelberg. After 4 km after the turnoff to Giggelberg we arrive on the dirt road to the saddle “Sandjoch”. In the direction north on the Cross-Crest-Road to the saddles of “Kreuzjoch” and “Steinjoch” and afterwards to the saddle “Sattelberg”. On the dirt road to the Brennerpass and fromhere back to Gossensass on the cycle path.

Starting from the north of the country, the cycle route gently descends along the railway line in winding curves, leading you to Colle Isarco (Gossensass) and then on to Vipiteno (Sterzing). Shortly after leaving the Brenner Pass, you can enjoy your first Italian cappuccino in a charming cultural gem along the way.

The route then takes you straight into the heart of the Fugger town of Vipiteno – simply ride through the open arch of the iconic Zwölferturm (Tower of the Twelve). From there, the path continues over flat and slightly uphill sections, passing through villages and hamlets until you reach the impressive Franzensfeste Fortress. A stop here is highly recommended to explore the exhibition rooms of this historical structure, originally built for war but never actually used in combat.

The cycle path then takes you past the Vahrn Lake before arriving in the medieval bishop's town of Brixen. There, you can reflect on your tour with a glass of wine, stroll beneath the arcades, explore local culture, or head straight back into the peaceful natural surroundings.

And if your legs are running out of motivation, don’t worry – the train offers a comfortable way back to your starting point.

Our kitchen team led by our Executive Chef Alexander Wild is with great enthusiasm in the matter and will spoil you with traditional South Tyrolean dishes and light Mediterranean cuisine to international delicacies, as well as gluten-free and lactose-free diet, the fresh food grown naturally from the surroundings. In addition, our wine cellar offers excellent drop for you.

Starting point: Mittertal, Val Giovo (1.150m) From Mittertal you start on trail no. 13 in the direction of the Sennerberg valley and continue along the trail to the mountain pasture Bärnfiechtalm. Tip: grey cheese and alpine butter

On the cycle path along the river Pflerscherbach to St. Anton in Pflersch. From here on the trails 35A, 27 and 27A on the other side of the valley in the other direction and on the trail 35A to Ladurns. Back to Gossensass on the trails 34B, 19A

Ausgangspunkt der MTB-Tour ist Gossensass. Der Pflerscher Straße rund 600 m Richtung Pflerschtal folgen, dann links abbiegen und der Uferpromenade entlang fährt man dann weiter in westliche Richtung. Nach rund 1,8 km verlässt man die Uferpromenade und der asphaltierten Straße entlang geht es dann weiter in Richtung Westen. Nach weiteren 1,8 km rechts abzweigen und Markierung 32 folgend überquert man über eine Brücke den Pflerscher Bach. Nach der Brücke links abzweigen und dem Talweg (Weg Nr. 32) ca. 1,6 km nach Westen hin folgen. Von hier aus wieder über die asphaltierte Straße bis zur Brücke kurz vor St. Anton. Vor der Brücke nach links auf Weg 35A und über Weg 27, dann 27A, geht es dann weiter in südliche Richtung. Nach rund 3,3 km erreicht man wiederum den Weg 35A. Diesem entlang bis zur Trasse des Sesselliftes des Skigebiets Ladurns folgen und von hier aus Markierung 34B, später 19A, folgend kreuzt man einen Schotterweg, der zurück zum Ausgangspunkt führt.

The Grohmann hut (Italian Rifugio Vedretta Piana) is located in South Tyrol in the upper Ridnauntal near the Austrian border.

From the valley head Ridanna follow path no. 9 through the forest and along the Fernerbach moderately steep up to the Aglsboden, then stronger ascending to the refuge Grohmannhütte (2.254m) and steep up to the refuge Teplitzer Hütte.

Families feel particularly at home in the Pflerschtal valley ski area between the Brenner/Brennero border and the medieval town of Sterzing/Vipiteno. Kids from age 2 can have a blast at 'Fichti's Kinderwelt, a 5,000 m² children's winter park. At the ski school, which has received several gold awards, the ski instructors know exactly how beginners best learn to take their first turns. Experienced skiers can carve over the slopes of the forest valley ski run or enjoy the panoramic trail with a view of the Tribulaun and the Weißwandspitze peaks. The nearly 7-km toboggan run from the Ladurner Alm Alpine pasture is fun for young and old. Alternatively, the idyllic landscape in the Ridnauntal, Pfitschtal and Pflerschtal valleys boasts countless winter hiking routes and an exquisite network of cross-country skiing trails. Experienced ski tourers can climb up to the Stubai Glacier or the Zillertal Alps.

A dinner in our restaurant will be the perfect conclusion of your day in the mountains of South Tyrol. For our kitchen team at the Hotel Alpenhof is it very important to enchant you with every dish.

From the Ibsenplatz in Gossensass to the train station and on the road to the Pflersch Valley. After 2 km a forest road on the left and afterwards a trail lead us to Ladurns. Then on the forest road to the pasture Allriss and back to Valley and to Gossensass on the road.

Parking in "Innerpflersch" (St. Anton) in the Pflersch Valley near the "Haus der Vereine". We take this road to the farms of "Stein" and here we follow the signs to “Furtalm”. Back on the same way.

Starting on the dirt road, we arrive on the Brenner-Cross-Crest-Trail. On trail nr. 1 in the direction of the saddle “Steinjoch”. Then on the tail nr. 3 to the “Steinalm”. We return on a steep dirt road to the principal street and here back to the starting point.

We offer fine Italian cuisine, typical South Tyrolean specialties and a variety of drinks list. In the morning we serve the guests a rich breakfast buffet. At noon they are a long range of pasta dishes, fine soups and hearty meat dishes to choose from. In the evening our chef spoils you with delicious healthy vegetables from the salad buffet menus and desserts.

Few cities are so close to the slopes: From the picturesque shopping streets of the former Fugger town of Sterzing/Vipiteno, it’s just a five minutes to the valley station of the Rosskopf cable car, which quickly transports guests up to 1,860 m above sea level. On Sterzing's local mountain, also known as the 'Sterzing sun terrace,' the panorama over the entire Wipptal valley is quite impressive and the Dolomites of the southern Odle mountains reach for the sky. The quickest way back into the valley is via the spacious slopes. Alternatively, discover the idyllic winter landscape of the family-friendly skiing area by snowshoes. The toboggan run is winter fun for young and old at its most popular. With a distance of 10 km, it’s the longest track with artificial snow cover in Italy.
