The Fleckner summit is one of the easiest beginner mountains in the Ratschingstal/Val Racines. The safe snow conditions, the slightly to moderate slopes on the northern hillside and the relatively short ascent make the Fleckner a popular mountain for alpine touring ski starters.
Ascent: Along the forest road for about 1.5 km. After a bend to the right, turn left onto another forest road. After another right turn, leave the forest road and walk steeply for a short distance on a trail through dense forest until you meet another forest road again, to the right of the so-called Waldhüttl (1744 m). Do not cross over to the Waldüttl, but continue straight on across an open area and then through the forest until you reach the path again. Again, straight on uphill through a forest until you reach the open alpine pasture area above the forest line at two alpine huts (1822 m). Pass the alp on the right and turn diagonally right up into the long hollow. Now left of the Saxner north ridge up this entire hollow to the saddle. From the saddle over the ridge on the left to the summit with cross.
Descent: as ascent.
Important! At the left turn (in the downhill direction) at 1620 m you should not go straight down (young forest!).
