The Platschjoch High-Altitude Trail starts just below the mountain station of the Ratschings-Jaufen cable car, at the valley station of the Rinneralm chairlift (3 min. walk). It goes towards the Kalcheralm Alpine farm and then along the forest road to the Jaufenpassstraße road. Cross the road and continue a little way into the area of the Platschjoch mountain. You then loop round to go back down to the Rinneralm.

Explore our legendary region on the back of the famous local Haflinger horses! Accompanied by your senior host and his blond-maned friends, discover the sunny valley on horseback. Moreover, we offer riding lessons with trainer.

The new Ibex via ferrata in the Ratschingstal valley offers routes from difficulty level C to E for beginners and pros. Children's via ferrata included. 

Climbing equipment can be booked at Rent&Go Sport Schölzhorn at the valley station of the Ratschings-Jaufen cable cars.

Demanding solitary ski tour with a magnificent view to the Hochfeiler area. Exposed summit. Not always accessible.

Embedded in a beautiful and peaceful alpine landscape, the Stohlwond in the back Ratschingstal/Val Racines offers routes in the lower to middle difficulty range.

Access: From the car park go over the stream and follow the forest road out of the valley.After about 5 minutes you reach a fork, here you turn left and shortly thereafter takes a path that leads through the forest. This path leads to the foot of the wall in about 10 minutes.

Important: On Mondays, the area around the climbing wall is reserved for the hunters, as they complete shooting exercises there. Therefore climbing is not allowed on this day!

The pasture Aglsbodenalm at the end of the Ridnauntal valley offers a very special fishing opportunity: Launch your fishing rod in the on-site mountain lake, enjoy the quiet, and let the sun shine on your face. And then, the host of the hut can cook the catch of the day!

The Rofis Boden in Stilfes near Sterzing is one of Freienfeld's natural gems. A few minutes' walk above the center of Stilfes leads to a large clearing right in the middle of the forest.
