An alternative for experienced skiers.
Playing golf on the southern side of the Alps of South Tyrol: Surrounded by medieval castles, in the midst of flowerfilled meadows and fir forests the Sterzing golf course with its large Driving range and 7 challenging holes offers splendid conditions for beginners and advanced golf players.
Embedded in a beautiful and peaceful alpine landscape, the Stohlwond in the back Ratschingstal/Val Racines offers routes in the lower to middle difficulty range.
Access: From the car park go over the stream and follow the forest road out of the valley.After about 5 minutes you reach a fork, here you turn left and shortly thereafter takes a path that leads through the forest. This path leads to the foot of the wall in about 10 minutes.
Important: On Mondays, the area around the climbing wall is reserved for the hunters, as they complete shooting exercises there. Therefore climbing is not allowed on this day!
The pasture Aglsbodenalm at the end of the Ridnauntal valley offers a very special fishing opportunity: Launch your fishing rod in the on-site mountain lake, enjoy the quiet, and let the sun shine on your face. And then, the host of the hut can cook the catch of the day!
The Pflerscher Tribulaun (3097 m) rises into the sky like a flame with its striking double summit. It is the highest and most striking mountain of the three Tribulauns - a real highlight of the Stubai Alps. For a long time, it was considered unclimbable due to its steep, inaccessible walls.
The ascent is still a challenging tour today: the normal route from the Tribulaunhütte leads through brittle terrain, is prone to rockfall and requires good orientation. Climbing sections in grade III make it a challenge - only recommended for experienced alpinists or with a mountain guide.
Those who prefer to marvel at the summit from afar can take a break at the idyllically situated Tribulaunhütte on the mountain lake Sandes. From there you can enjoy an impressive view of the mountain peak "Goldkappl" to the west and the mighty Pflerscher Tribulaun.

The Strassberg castel ruin lies on a hill near Gossensass/Colle Isarco and is a real landmark. It was first mentioned in 1280 and for a long time local seat of the regional government and court of justice. The decline started in the 17th century. The ruin is privately owned and can only be visited from the outside.
