The traditional restaurant of the FORST brewery – Bräustüberl – is an exclusively and tastefully furnished building right at the heart of the FORST brewery premises along the main road, leading from Meran to the Vinschgau. This is a place for true beer-lovers and a centre of beer culture.
It offers its guests the entire beer range of the FORST brewery along with harmonically composed traditional gastronomy.
The inviting atmosphere of the Bräustüberl gives great importance to the combination of traditional dishes and excellent draught beers. In this ambience traditional South Tyrolean cuisine comes to its peak, original dumplings, pork knuckles and local specialties like the famous birramisù, a creative variation of the tiramisù.

Located right at the valley station of the Olang 1+2 cable car, our restaurant welcomes you in winter from 11:30 am for a delicious break. Fresh, crisp salads, hearty Tyrolean specialities from the kitchen and the pizza oven, as well as a daily changing menu with fine regional dishes, ensure plenty of variety and flavour. With convenient connections via all ski buses and the Citybus 435.2 (stop: Kabinenbahn Gassl Olang), getting here is quick and easy.
In summer, the restaurant becomes a cosy meeting spot with bar service and small snacks – perfect for a break after a run down of the Gassl Trail. The direct link to the Olang 1+2 cable car, which takes you up to the Kronplatz summit, and the spacious sunny terrace make it a stop worth lingering at.
The Berghotel Schlemmer in Plancios serves classic South Tyrolean specialties such as Knödel (dumplings) and Kaiserschmarrn (a dessert made of shredded pancakes) – and not only to its guests. The Marxnkeller restaurant opened for the first time in 1981 and was run as a family business for 30 years.
The restaurant was closed for 10 years and after renovation and redesign was reopened in July 2022.
Combining tradition and modernity, we use high-quality, mostly farm-produced and local products in our innovative dishes.
Andrea Fenoglio seems never to run out of his creative vein, which he displays in his restaurant "Sissi" in front of the Prince’s Castle behind the Lauben arcades. His latest menu "Settepiatti" is certainly to be tried. His cuisine is a lively one, always with an eye to the playful aspect, rich of interesting sparks without forgetting the courses more related to tradition, reinterpreted in a modern key.
Great attention is paid to the choice of products, always the real main characters. The informal though ever accurate service creates a cosy atmosphere up to the point of often giving the impression of being at home. Five hundred different wines on the list, twenty of them offered even at the glass and always at a more than decent price. This restaurant is an ideal choice for a quality quick lunch as well.

This café is located in the historic village centre of Caldaro and linked to the Hotel Zum Turm. Here you have the chance to taste excellent cakes, coffee as well as ice cream-cups and fresh drinks. Enjoy the nice and relaxing atmosphere of Caldaro’s pedestrian area. Also serves: warm dishes and pizza for lunch and dinner.
Traditional cuisine with fresh local products, South Tyrolean specialities and delicacies from both culinary cultures, are a big deal in our house. Home made food with the right touch of refinement: as a “village guesthouse” with tradition, the food needs to do justice to its history and reputation.
