We run a butcher shop know throughout this area. We get the meat from our own livestock and from nearby farms. We use these products to make hearty and delicious specialties of South Tyrolean and Italian cuisine. We also have a large vegetable garden, and can thus offer our guests not only good-tasting foods, but also guaranteed fresh and healthy ingredients.

At the Castel finedining restaurant, enjoyment is emphasised. Since 1992, Gerhard Wieser has been responsible for the ultimate culinary moments at Hotel Castel. This continuity has paid off, with the restaurant receiving multiple recognitions – including 2 stars from the Michelin Guide and 5 toques from the Gault Millau. At the finedining restaurant, the focus is always on the guest. Experience a unique evening of which you will long have positive memories! Along with his team, Gerhard Wieser turns the best, fresh ingredients – many of them from the region – into very special culinary experiences. To him, the truth lies on the plate; the true, clear taste stands before the aesthetic presentation of the dishes. To develop this essential taste, he experiments with and improves his technique uninterruptedly, thus revealing that he is a true tinkerer. In our Restaurant you can choose from our menu daily; we serve both local and Italian specialities. You are also welcome to sit together on the terrace on an afternoon and enjoy a hearty local “Brettljause” – a snack platter with cold meats and cheese.

Vegetarian and food on a biological basis are marked with corresponding symbols lactose and embers-free; to simplify your choice! Enjoy your leisuretime on our big sunroof or in the comfortable hut!

We offer delicious dishes in a quiet and beautiful atmosphere. You can reach the Lake of Kaltern on foot in only 2 minutes. Enjoy coffee and ice cream on our garden-terrace in the afternoon.

There we offer freshly grounded coffee, cakes and gateaus of the hotel's own patisserie and in the summertime the delicious ice cream of Christian Moriggl, Eis Total, from Prad. A highlight are also our two terraces and the playroom for the kids. To enjoy with relish a cup of coffee keeping always an eye on the children – this is unique to us.

The heart of the house: Restaurant Terra Only a few steps from heaven you'll find the highest-located starred restaurant in Italy. Everything you get at Terra - The Magic Place is home-made. The cuisine of gourmet chef Heinrich Schneider is modern and of subtle finesse. The dishes are characterised by products from South Tyrol and farmers from the immediate vicinity. These unique gourmet highlights are matched with the best wines, recommended by the certified sommelier Gisela Schneider, sister of Heinrich. The reconstruction works in the restaurant, the heart of the house, will be concluded in May 2014. Now, the restaurant will also have its own name: "Terra". At the Jochele Hotel & Restaurant, hotel guests and locals, fans of speck platters and gourmets all feast together side by side and completely at ease. Chef Horst and his team treat fans of South Tyrolean cuisine to typical specialities and international creations. At lunchtime and dinner time, the menu includes a tempting selection of favourite South Tyrolean dishes: home made Schlutzkrapfen, cheese and bacon dumplings with coleslaw, aromatic herb dumplings and Kaiserschmarrn pancakes. We can define the cuisine of our hotel as an international cuisine that tries to highlight the local cuisine: the very appreciated Ladin cuisine.

Every evening our chef prepares a royal dinner for our guests who make their own choice of five courses with salad buffet, alternating between a gala dinner and Tyrolean specialities. Our chef and restaurant staff all do their best to provide a perfect service for our guests. You will find us on the Plose, the local mountain of Brixen, where the Eisack valley displays its natural beauty and heaven and earth are particularly close. Dark forests and soft meadows are our only neighbors. The Trametsch mountain hut – led by Roswitha and Andreas Ellemund- is above Plose valley station and is easily accessible to visitors by car (large car park), as well as to hikers and skiers. As restaurant located right at the bottom of the mountain, we are open all year round. In addition to daily activity, our restaurant in Brixen at the Plose is available also for diverse celebrations and events.

The restaurant at Hotel Belvedere is only on reservation. It's a good location for family parties (like first communion or baptism... ) or Christmas staff parties.

The ‘Gartner’ has a considerable role to play among the leading gourmet addresses in South Tyrol. The young squad headed by Toque-awarded chef Daniel Niedermair inspires hotel guests with a very contemporary and exceptionally creative cuisine, prepared using regional produce.
