The Schgaguler Schwaige mountain hut, lying at 1905m near the mountain station of the Ortisei / Alpe di Siusi cable car, opened in 1991. The hut is easily reached regardless of the season, whether during a bike tour or hike in summer or as part of a ski tour or snowshoe hike in winter. The spacious terrace is perfect for an outdoor lunch and guests can head to the garden to relax and sunbathe in the deckchairs. There is a playground and a small petting zoo nearby, where rabbits, goats, ponies and even lamas look forward to a visit from the children. The rustic interior is in traditional rustic style and includes a Stube perfect for spending time in good company - often for longer than expected, especially in winter! Tasty homemade traditional South Tyrolean dishes are all freshly prepared using the farm’s own products. Known by the locals as the "Greiter Hof", the Obergereuth Hof farm became "Greiter's". Complete with cocktail lounge, freshly-ground coffees, brunches and tasting couch. Our main production tool is the baking tray: we make traditional sheet cakes and roulades, apple shortcrust strudel and muffins, buckwheat pastry and focaccia. You name it, we make it!
