Experience the “Almabtrieb” in Terento! The ceremonial driving of cattle and sheep from the green pastures back to their home farms and warm barns is a long-standing tradition in Terento. For over 100 cows, calves and sheep this event marks the end of their stay in altitude where they enjoyed the fresh mountain air, tasty grass and cool nights. The animals are adorned with bells, wreaths, fresh flowers and ornate whetstone holders and they are driven down the valley by their herders. Plünderfuhren (procession floats), Goaslkrocha (whip crackers), Schuhplattlern (folk dancers) und and musical entertainment.

Sheep’s wool felt of Villnösser Brillenschaf sheep for children in the Puez-Geisler Nature Park Visitor Center. As part of the Lamb Weeks of the "Villnösser Brillenschaf", an afternoon of handicrafts is organised. For children from 6 to 12 years. The multi-coloured autumn leaves and trees invites you with sweet ripe apples, beckon visitors to visit the Natz-Schabs/Naz-Sciaves High Apple Plateau. For a week in autumn, everything revolves around the apple, giving rise to a series of events. The Apple Festival is held on the second Sunday in October and is the climax of the autumn celebrations in Naz/Natz. The highlight is a big parade and the awarding of the Naz-Sciaves Apple Queen title.

The festival will begin at 11 a.m. at the elementary school of Avigna. There will be a lots of tasty local delicacies with roasted chestnuts.

9 and 10 November 2024 the Touriseum at Trauttmansdorff Castle will play host to Meran’s sixth Vintage Market. Trauttmansdorff Castle will for the whole weekend be devoted to the idea of “vintage”. From 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM each day, selected market stalls will be offering collectors and browsers high-quality antique accessories ranging from sunglasses to hatboxes. The retro atmosphere will be complemented with live music and dancing from bygone eras as well as many other highlights. *Vintage in English means classic, old, traditional: it refers to the fashions, furnishings and everyday objects from the 1920s through to the 1980s.
