Accompanied by the management of the Vigiljoch Cable Car, who have known the area since childhood and can share fascinating stories about both the cable car and the Vigiljoch. The route leads along the springs, part of an important water protection area where litter has no place. Registered participants can use the cable car free of charge and, at the end of the guided CleanUP, are invited to a shared lunch at the Gasthaus Sessellift. Route Description: From the Vigiljoch cable car mountain station, we immediately turn left. After a few meters below the cable car and the hotel, we reach the fork leading to Pawigl. Here, however, we continue straight ahead along the mostly level “Lower Quellenweg” no. 1. We follow the Quellenweg to the entrance of the spring tunnel. From there, forest road no. 34A takes us to the Gasthof Bärenbad. Passing it, we continue on trail no. 2 to the little church, where we then follow trail no. 4 uphill to the Gasthof Sessellift at the chairlift mountain station. She knows every trail and path on the mountain and collects litter all year round, because Vigiljoch is close to her heart and she knows what true summer refreshment feels like. Continuing along trail no. 34, the path passes the little church. There we take the forest path no. 5, which runs parallel to the wide trail no. 4, until it merges with trail no. 4 just below the Gasthaus Sessellift, leading the last few meters to the Sessellift mountain station – our destination. On Saturday, September 20, a cleanup event will take place as part of the Patron CleanUPDays South Tyrol. Join us as we work together to free nature from litter! The cleanup will take place along the bike path from Plaus to the Visitor Center in Naturns/Naturno. Cleanup equipment (trash bags, gloves) will be provided. Meeting point: 9:05 a.m. – Naturns train station or 9:20 a.m. or Plaus train station, end around 12:00 p.m. at the Nature Park Visitor Center. To help us prepare enough equipment, we kindly ask you to register in advance. Spontaneous participation with your own equipment is also welcome! Note: On Thursday, September 18 and Friday, September 19, a public awareness campaign with an info stand will take place in front of the Visitor Center Texelgruppe / Gruppo di Tessa Nature Park.

During the traditional Zeppichl Almabtrieb (cattle drive), the decorated animals return to Zeppichl from the Lazinser Hof farm on the sunny side starting around 11:00 a.m. "Frühschoppen" with the bohemian music of Walten and musical entertainment with the music group "Die lustigen Stawanza", as well as interludes by the folkloristic group Schuhplattler from Stuls/Stulles and Mölten/Meltina, and the Psairer Goaslschnöller. There will be a guessing game with great prizes to win.

The city of Laives warmly invites you to the Mobility Festival! On 20 September from 7:30 pm, Via Kennedy will turn into a lively open-air celebration. Local associations will offer fun activities for children and families, while visitors can explore fascinating vehicles from SASA, the White Cross and the Carabinieri. Plenty of food, drinks and good vibes await. On stage, the bands Tabaluga, Skantinati, Atmosfera Zero and Lift Beer will provide live music.

The afternoon begins with the inauguration of the new cycling track in Laives at the Galizia sports area. From 4:30 pm, a festival will take place at Don Domenico Penner Square in Pineta with drinks, music and numerous bicycle-themed activities: a bike workshop for small free repairs, decorations and gadgets to prepare and make bicycles safe for the light parade, a cycling course for children with Polisportiva Pineta, and bike painting by the Fly Youth Centre. In the evening, the bike light parade will ride from Pineta to Laives, leading to the Mobility Festival in Via Kennedy. Golden eagles are solitary birds that mate for life. Every year between March and June, the female lays up to three eggs. She incubates them for around 45 days. During this time, the male provides her with food. The young birds make their first attempts at flight in late summer. Hiking guide Gernot has been observing golden eagles in Hinterpasseier/Alta Val Passiria for years. He knows where they breed and whether the brood was successful. With a little luck, we will see the golden eagle soaring above our heads. A long tradition, specially in Mühlen: the fair day festival! A local club organizes a typical feast with roast chicken, delicious sausages, pretzels, beer and wine and local music. The highlight is the “Kirchtagmichl” (puppet) attached to a tree trunk drawn in a vertical position. It takes several hours! During the night, the Kirchtagmichl must be guarded. Because the boys of the neighboring village are keen to steal it ... Lush alpine meadows, inviting huts and the majestic Tribulaun within reach! From the valley station (meeting point), we take the cable car to the Ladurns mountain station. The trail first leads past the smal lakes "Ladurner Lacken" and continues along the Dolomieu trail to the Teissljöchl/Edelweißhütte hut. This is followed by a short ascent to the Wastenegg, from where you can enjoy the magnificent panorama of the jagged rock faces of the Tribulaun. Continue slightly downhill to the Teissljöchl and turn left to the hut Edelweißhütte (refreshments available). Finally, an easy hike along a forest path to the Ladurnerhütte, where you will be served a delicious Kaiserschmarrn pancake. 40 YEARS OF THE MERANO HIGH MOUNTAIN TRAIL This impressive hike along the historic Merano High Mountain Trail is a journey through time on one of the oldest high-altitude trails in the Alps. Upon arrival at the Texelbahn cable car mountain station, breathtaking panoramic views of the entire Merano basin unfold. The historic trail, once an important connection between mountain farms, leads past original alpine farms and lush mountain meadows. Particularly captivating are the expansive views of the Ziel Valley and the surrounding peaks of the Texel Group Nature Park. The legendary Schupfenfest in San Genesio is a rustic gastronomic festival that enthuses locals and tourists alike. The festival offers the opportunity to combine the pleasure of a beautiful hike in the alpine pastures with the enjoyment of traditional South Tyrolean specialities in mountain huts. The itinerary allows visitors to stop along the way at various 'Schupfe', or huts in South Tyrolean dialect, between San Genesio and Meltina, sampling various typical specialities, from the inevitable farmer's snack to dumplings, Strauben and other sweet pancakes. A horse-drawn carriage runs every half hour between Franzin Alm and Malga Frommer - timetable. E-bikes can be rented directly from the local bike rental shops upon registration and payment. The Farmers' Youth Festival takes place at the Viglatscherhof in Steinegg/Collepietra. The Klausner band will provide entertainment from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the best milkers. Craft corner with Hube. Food and drink will be provided.

The return of the herds from summer pastures in the Tel high mountain valley is appropriately celebrated at the Nasereit Alpine shelter, in accordance with the old farming tradition.

On Sunday, September 21, 2025, the Nigerstraße at the foot of the Rosengarten will be reserved exclusively for hikers and cyclists. From 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the road will be closed to car and motorcycle traffic. The cable cars from Welschnofen and Tiers will bring all visitors to the Nigerstraße without using a car. Along the route, restaurants offer delicious local specialties, and a horse-drawn carriage runs every half hour between Franzin Alm and Frommer Alm. E-bikes can be rented at the bike rental at the top station of the Welschnofen/Frommer Alm cable car. As part of the Family Bike & Hiking Day, the second edition of the Family Challenge takes place along the Nigerstraße. During this exciting event, families and children can complete fun games and challenging tasks, with the chance to win great prizes. An exciting afternoon full of play and movement awaits you! On the bike course with roundabout and real traffic light, you can ride your own bikes, scooters, or try out the fun trikes provided by the VKE play bus. There will also be giant board games and skill games for young and old, plus a special highlight: a giant roller slide. The bike guides of the Bike Academy Lana will offer cycling technique courses every hour from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, teaching children and adults how to ride safely – of course on the bike course with traffic light. Snacks and drinks will be provided by VKE, including sausages, cakes, popcorn, and beverages. ATTENTION: In case of rain, the event will be cancelled! The road from the campsite in Tesimo to the vocational school will remain closed to traffic for the entire duration of the event!
