During the Advent season, the Volunteer Fire Brigade of Schabs is hosting a cozy mulled wine stand at the fire station. Enjoy warm drinks and festive cheer in a wonderful atmosphere.

The Villandro Nativity Scene Friends are creating a Nativity Scene Route in the village from the village to the parish church for the entire Advent period until the Three Wise Men. Showcases have been made in which various nativity scenes are exhibited. On Saturday, 30.11.2024 is the opening of the crib street with inauguration and a small drink in front of the school building. Every Saturday evening and every Sunday all day, the bar in the Kultursaal is served by various clubs.

S. Bach: Magnificat BWV 243 Works by Jan Dismas Zelenka and J. S. Bach will be performed at the Advent-Christmas concert by the Czech Ensemble Inegal under the direction of Adam Viktora. Zelenka was a contemporary of Bach and Händel and is considered the most important Bohemian master of the Baroque period. Zelenka's Christmas Mass presents a vivid picture of the sonic splendor of the High Baroque in Dresden. Bach intoned the text of the Magnificat with all the splendor and weight of late Baroque content, creating a unique, cohesive and powerful work. It is one of Bach's most popular vocal works.

On December 14, 2024, starting at 3:00 PM, the festival grounds in Aicha, Köstental, will be transformed into a festive Christmas setting. Nature changes. Continuously. Globally and in detail. From one season to the next. Over the course of centuries. Lately observable with the naked eye. Even artist Nora Gutwenger, who recently returned from Vienna to live in the Pustertal valley, realized this. Instead of the wooded slopes she was used to, she is now surrounded by bare slopes. Who changed nature? The bark beetle? Or is man at the origin of this change? What characterizes an almost natural forest? In Angelika Wischermann's works, it is the artist herself who changes nature. Unlike most human interventions, however, the artist proceeds very carefully. She observes the branching network of paths of a forest ant colony for a long time before doing small works with her infrastructure project to make life easier for the insects. In the exhibition space, artistic research processes can be experienced through drawings, textile works and a video. You are also cordially invited to explore the theme in a reading corner. Ernst Müller, born and raised in Vinschgau, draws his artistic inspiration from deep-rooted childhood memories. The self-taught artist and trained coachbuilder began painting at the age of thirteen and over the decades has developed into an important chronicler of the South Tyrolean cultural landscape. Influenced by the precise observation of classical masters such as Albin Egger Lienz, Toulouse-Lautrec and Claude Monet, Müller initially created scenes of everyday rural life, later devoting himself mainly to picturesque farmsteads and landscapes, which are now considered his trademark. The nostalgia that has accompanied the artist since childhood is omnipresent in his oil paintings. The artist captures the magic of the South Tyrolean mountains with vibrant colours and impasto structures that transport the viewer to a world of the past. Many of the farms he portrays no longer exist, which gives his paintings not only artistic but also documentary value.

Berty Skuber was born in Völs am Schlern and has lived and worked in Völser Aicha for decades, interspersed with longer stays in Venice and Milan and numerous trips. Her exhibition activities, which began in 1970, have taken her far beyond South Tyrol and Italy to various European and American galleries, museums and collections. Berty Skuber works with a wide variety of media in her extensive oeuvre, ranging from painting and drawing to collage, artist's books, sculpture, objects and video. The exhibition shows important stages of her life's work.

Local and seasonal, straight from the producer. Farmers from the surrounding area bring their own farm produce to the Brixen old town centre. Depending on the season, fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, eggs, flowers, honey, homemade jams and pasta sauces, refined distillates and organically grown herbs as well as wooden handicrafts are offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays. From April to October, local associations prepare fresh tirtln (fried stuffed pastry) on site on a weekly basis. This means that every Saturday is also a culinary experience. This market has been a popular, lively meeting place for locals and guests for 30 years.
