Local and seasonal, straight from the producer. Farmers from the surrounding area bring their own farm produce to the Brixen old town centre. Depending on the season, fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, eggs, flowers, honey, homemade jams and pasta sauces, refined distillates and organically grown herbs as well as wooden handicrafts are offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays. From April to October, local associations prepare fresh tirtln (fried stuffed pastry) on site on a weekly basis. This means that every Saturday is also a culinary experience. This market has been a popular, lively meeting place for locals and guests for 30 years.

Chestnut farmers and Törggele businesses will roast chestnuts along the Chestnut Trail throughout the month of October. At the Chestnut Trail/Frühaufhof in Barbian, starting Saturday, October 4, every Saturday and Sunday until October 26, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

At the weekly market in Bressanone you will find stalls with clothing, shoes, handbags, local products and much more. At the parking lot in Brennerstrasse, Albuingasse, Hartmannsplatz and Trattengasse.

This farm tour is a great opportunity to explore rural life in South Tyrol and learn all about the animals living on the farm. The Villanders mine in the Eisack Valley, with a wide view of the Dolomites, was one of the most important mining areas in Tyrol in the Middle Ages. At that time, silver, galena, copper and much more were mined. The Villanders Culture and Museum Association has carefully restored the mine in recent years. It is now one of the few mines in South Tyrol that is open to visitors. Guided tours only from April to October on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 and 14:30, Sundays at 10:30 (duration approx. 1.5 h) In July & August additionally on Wednesdays at 10:30 (duration approx. 2 h). IMPORTANT: arrive at the mine at least 10 minutes in advance! Individual special tours are available all year round on request. All prices can be found on the mine's website.

The farmers sell their fresh products at the square "Tinneplatz" from 8:00 - 12:30. Fresh, seasonal food and typical South Tyrolean products are available at the farmers' market in Klausen.

The colourful fruit that blossoms and ripens everywhere here is legendary, healthy and of symbolic significance for our high plateau.
