St. Nicholas & Krampus Parade in Mühlbach – 7 December

On 7 December, Mühlbach transforms into a magical Advent setting!

Starting at 3:00 p.m., enjoy a warm and festive Advent atmosphere at the town hall square, perfect for getting into the Christmas spirit.

At 5:00 p.m., the big St. Nicholas & Krampus parade begins:
the procession will start at the train station and move along Katharina-Lanz Street until it reaches the church square.

The groups Hollintoul Teifl, T’schän Teifl Lodin, and Ronegga Teifl will be there with impressive masks, striking characters, and plenty of action.

A family-friendly and atmospheric event – come and join us!

The apple fritters. Simply juicy and breathtakingly good. They are prepared and sold on stage by the children's charity organisation ‘Kiwanis Club Brixen’. The donations go to needy families in the Eisack Valley.

The Immanuel Mission Choir was founded in Milan in 1989 by a group of Korean singing students in Italy to spread the message of peace and hope of Jesus Christ, especially to those in need. Several have participated in international singing events, winning numerous awards. In 36 years, it has made several missionary tours in Asia, Africa, and Europe. Free Entry

Creative workshops, the living nativity and the visit of St. Nicholas make this a magical family weekend full of festive joy and sparkling Christmas spirit.

During Alm Advent, the Fane Alm transform into a cozy place filled with festive anticipation on all Advent Sundays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Visitors can look forward to mulled wine, South Tyrolean specialties, a lovingly designed children’s program with crafting and storytelling, as well as stalls offering homemade products.

Each Advent Sunday features its own special highlight:

On the 1st Sunday of Advent (30/11/2025), an alpine devotion takes place at 2 pm, accompanied by a four-part choir and then the brass ensemble of the Valles music band.

On the 2nd Sunday of Advent (07/12/2025), St. Nicholas visits the hut at 2 pm, with musical accompaniment by the Terento men’s choir.

On the 3rd Sunday of Advent (14/12/2025), the brass ensemble of the Rodeneck music band provides contemplative music.

The 4th Sunday of Advent (21/12/2025) is accompanied musically by Thomas Mahlknecht and Johannes Oberhofer

As part of the “Borgo Natalizio di Chiusa”, the renowned Galleria d’Arte Kusstatscher in the historic old town of Chiusa opens its doors for an exceptional exhibition.
Artists Sabine Brugger and Hannes Tribus present an exclusive selection of their latest works – a vibrant artistic tribute to the fascinating Borghi più belli d’Italia.

With expressive watercolours by Sabine Brugger and atmospheric oil paintings by Hannes Tribus, the two artists invite visitors on a journey through some of Italy’s most enchanting historic villages. Their works capture the architecture, landscapes, and unique atmosphere of these remarkable places in both poetic and powerful ways.

The exhibition celebrates the beauty of these exceptional locations and supports the mission of the Associazione “I Borghi più belli d’Italia”, which has been preserving and promoting the cultural treasures of small Italian towns for many years.

On this special guided tour, we will immerse ourselves in the rich world of traditions and stories surrounding Advent and Christmas in Brixen. Amid sweet delicacies, enchanting scents, and sparkling lights, we will meet fascinating protagonists of this festive season. At the same time, we will explore some of the city’s unique highlights, including the majestic White Tower. The tour concludes atmospherically with a glass of mulled wine at the Christmas Market. Pre-Christmas Events in Terento.
We want to bring children, families and guests closer to rural culture and traditions on the topic of Christmas. The trail leads from the decorated village centre to the town hall with cookie baking for children, to the crib exhibition and to the Christmas market. Handicraft products are offered at different stalls on the playground. The Christmas experience continues along the trail lit by torchlights and candlelight with special light effects to the "Stockner Waldile" forest, where rural specialities are offered in traditional huts. Fairytales and stories for children are told around the campfire in front of a big Christmas crib and a petting zoo.

The Villandro Nativity Scene Friends are creating a Nativity Scene Route in the village from the village to the parish church for the entire Advent period until the Three Wise Men. Showcases have been made in which various nativity scenes are exhibited.

The photography exhibition Every Child is LIFE celebrates the miracle of birth and the universal strength of life. Dutch photographer Ilvy Njiokiktjien captured newborns in Peru, Mali, Mongolia and Bangladesh between 2018 and 2019, portraying with great sensitivity the most fragile yet powerful moment of existence. A year later, Armenian photographer Anush Babajanyan returned to photograph the same children, creating a second chapter that tells a story of growth, resilience and the vital importance of continuous access to healthcare. The visit to the photo exhibition is included in the entrance ticket of the Hofburg.

Oops is an immersive spectacle that transforms the façade of the Hofburg Brixen into a living canvas, brought to life by 10 powerful projectors. Accompanied by an original soundtrack from electronic music legend Giorgio Moroder, this visual journey invites audiences into fantastical worlds full of wonder and delight.

On the occasion of the Euregio Museum Year 2025, dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Tyrolean Peasants’ Revolt of 1525 – a historic turning point that continues to raise essential questions about power structures, social justice, political participation, and the potential for societal change – the Hofburg Bressanone presents a two-part exhibition project that sets history and the present in a dialogical relationship. The two exhibitions, 1525-2025. Irruption-Subversion-Renewal (29 March – 31 August 2025) and ETÀ, ÉTATS (12 September 2025 – 11 January 2026), explore the theme of societal transformation from different perspectives. They share a central conceptual motif: rupture as a starting point for movement, encounter, and new forms of social thinking. ETÀ, ÉTATS links the father-son relationship between Robert and Johannes Bosisio to the socially relevant question of intergenerational dialogue. In the spatial and conceptual design, the two artists meet in the center of the exhibition area, while their independent positions are situated at opposite ends of the sequence of rooms. At this central point of encounter, the focus is less on comparison and more on exchange: a dialogical coexistence aimed at connecting different experiences, ways of thinking, and perspectives.

Climb, laugh, discover – with Climbing for Kids, children aged 7 to 15 experience an exciting and varied climbing adventure at the modern VERTIKALE Climbing Gym in Brixen. Guided by experienced and certified instructors, kids learn the basics of climbing in a playful way, improve their coordination, and gain confidence in their own abilities. The focus is on movement, fun, and teamwork. Every child is supported individually, regardless of their level or previous experience. Small group sizes ensure a safe and welcoming atmosphere where learning and enjoyment go hand in hand. Participation is flexible on a weekly basis – ideal for families who want to add an active and engaging experience to their stay in Brixen. Europe’s largest monastery complex in Tirol/Tirolo. Founded in 1142 by the Bishop of Brixen/Bressanone at the intersection of two important routes - the Brenner and the route to the Pustertal valley - the Augustinian Neustift Canons Regular Monastery was recognized, among other things, as a hospice and rest area for pilgrims. Today the Monastery makes a name for itself as a place of agriculture, culture and education. From the monastery winery to the herb garden, from the electricity plant to the educational center, several businesses are united in the monastery. The Augustinian Neustift Canons Regular Monastery in Vahrn/Varna is the largest Monastery complex in Tirol/Tirolo. The Monastery has an holistic conception and was independent and versatile from its very foundation. A walk through the Monastery complex will let you understand its size and importance as a former important cultural and economic hub of the Eisacktal/Valle Isarco valley. The first thing that will catch your eye are the architectural elements: Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. Local and seasonal, straight from the producer. Farmers from the surrounding area bring their own farm produce to the Brixen old town centre. Depending on the season, fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, eggs, flowers, honey, homemade jams and pasta sauces, refined distillates and organically grown herbs as well as wooden handicrafts are offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

From April to October, local associations prepare fresh tirtln (fried stuffed pastry) on site on a weekly basis. This means that every Saturday is also a culinary experience.
