The exhibition sheds light on the Peasants' War and its prehistory using archival documents from around 1500, focussing on the social, political and economic aspects of life before and during the peasant uprisings. Through the presentation of archival documents from the Diocesan Archives, works of art and everyday objects, perspectives on the Peasants' War that have been little illuminated to date are shown in order to visualise the multi-layered nature of the historical events and their complex causes. The exhibition builds a bridge between past and present and encourages reflection on the continuity of social upheaval.

The Villanders mine in the Eisack Valley, with a wide view of the Dolomites, was one of the most important mining areas in Tyrol in the Middle Ages. At that time, silver, galena, copper and much more were mined. The Villanders Culture and Museum Association has carefully restored the mine in recent years. It is now one of the few mines in South Tyrol that is open to visitors. Guided tours only from April to October on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 and 14:30, Sundays at 10:30 (duration approx. 1.5 h) In July & August additionally on Wednesdays at 10:30 (duration approx. 2 h). IMPORTANT: arrive at the mine at least 10 minutes in advance! Individual special tours are available all year round on request. All prices can be found on the mine's website.

This pleasurable festival on the fairground in Barbian begins at 19.30. For best musical entertainment with the music group "HOBBY QUINTETT". The Tourist Association and the "Kirchenchor" from Barbian/Barbiano invite everyone cordially.

The leisurely circular hike starts at the large Saltnerstein parking area and leads you to the mountain pine distillery at the Marzuner Schupfe. Bees are irreplaceable in our ecosystem and agriculture. Simply put: they are necessary for the survival of us humans. As the third most important "farm" animal (after cattle and pigs), bees pollinate 80% of our crops. Curious visitors can learn this and other interesting facts during a guided tour by an experienced beekeeper, including honey tasting, at the Birkenbrunn hotel. Costs: €07.00

Hike along the Stocknertal Trail and Panorama Trail to the mills (including a guided tour) and the earth pyramids. On the way back, visit a local farm shop (Milla Ladile) with product tasting. This itinerary takes you from Mühlbach via Vintl and Kiens to Bruneck, along the river Rienz. Not only in the Sarentino Valley, the valley of the mountain pines, does the mountain pine grow, but also on the acidic silicate soils of the Villandro Alp. The power of this mountain plant is immense. The beneficial and fragrant essential oil is perfect for relaxing baths, for infusions and compresses, or as an ingredient in scrubs. In an aroma lamp, the scent helps to improve the room atmosphere. Every Monday, a distillation demonstration takes place. All interested visitors can gain insight into how the mountain pine is processed into essential oil.

South Tyrolean artist Elisabeth Oberrauch is well-known for her artworks made from handmade paper. In this exhibition, she displays highlights from her previous work and presents new creations inspired by pharmaceutical and medical themes. Her artistic works accompany and support the Brixen Pharmacy Museum on its journey towards a harmonious combination of architecture, art and pharmacy.

Giancarlo Lamonaca: RAUSCHEN In a world where digital images have become the dominant form of memory, the exhibition Rauschen (Noise) asks what is being lost. These are images in a state of transition, in which reminiscences of a digital archive reveal a different form of imagery. Their disturbances generate resistance—against the claim to completeness and against the smoothness of perfected image worlds. A digital palimpsest in which memory is not preserved or discarded, but transformed. Mozzarellalight: TO FADE IN Water, a floating matter and a moving organism, moves to the center of perception. It is no longer just a simple element, but a living body that changes over time and produces unstable and silent microsystems within itself. Every moment creates a new image, like a photograph that eludes capture. An apparition that cannot be captured, but only briefly reveals itself—only to disappear again immediately. The installation will be visible mainly in the dark hours of the day, as in a photographic process in which the image slowly appears on the film.

This easygoing tour starts in St. Sigmund and winds its way through the Puster Valley towards Mühlbach. Calm waters, gentle currents, and a few small rapids make for an enjoyable ride with just the right touch of excitement. The meeting point is the parking lot at the valley station of the Jochtal cable car in Vals. From there, we will drive together in private cars to the starting point of the hike at the Fane Alm. Carpooling can be arranged on site. Please note: Parking at the Fane Alm is subject to a fee. Wilde Kreuzspitze (3,134 metres) is the highest peak in the Pfunders mountains, and commands a breath-taking all-round view of the Zillertal Alps. From the meeting point, we will drive together to the starting point of our excursion, located by the Fane Alm car park (1,700 metres). From there, we will take the forest path that leads through the Valler Schramme gorge all the way to the Labesebenalm pasture (2,138 metres). This is where the climb to the Wildensee lake (2,580 metres) and on to the Rauhtaljoch saddle (2,807 metres) begins. From the saddle, a somewhat exposed trail will lead us to the Wilde Kreuzspitze peak (3,134 metres). The way back to the starting point is via Rauhtal to the Brixnerhütte hut.
