An exciting adventure awaits us on the way to the summit of the Amthorspitze near Sterzing. Our ascent begins on an asphalt road that turns into a forest path. The steep path winds its way through the forest, past old ski lift routes, to the Hühnerspielhütte. The trail becomes more technical before it leads above the tree line onto a wide access track to the abandoned military base. Shortly after the base, the trail begins below the summit and after an exciting carrying section, you enter the flowing trail section with a free choice of lines. After a short break the final section leads through the forest on a partially hidden path back to the starting point.

The exhibition not only serves as a platform for artists to present their work, but also aims to highlight the cultural differences and similarities in sculpture. The focus is also on promoting the regional art scene, giving South Tyrolean artists the opportunity to present themselves on an international level. The aim is to awaken everyone's interest in art and culture and to walk through the world with more open eyes. Come and experience the fusion of nature and art at the first international sculpture exhibition in Staudenparadies. Together we will create an inspiring atmosphere that celebrates artistic creativity and strengthens the community.
The City Museum continues part of the ‘Kunstgerecht’ exhibition, a joint project entitled ‘La Regione fuori dai vetri’, which is the result of a collaboration between the Autonomous Region of Trentino-Alto Adige and the Civic Museum of Chiusa. On display are some of the most important works of the region's artistic heritage, created over the course of a century from 1900 onwards.
They are flanked by the creativity of the three artists Jakob de Chirico, Irmgard Gamper Delmonego and Markus Moling, the designer Alex Terzariol and four young people from the KAOS centre in Klausen, who have artistically reinterpreted balls of wool as part of the ‘Art-Wool’ project. These surprising works were created especially for this exhibition and take up an artisanal speciality of our region.
Opening hours of the city museum:
Tue-Sat, 9.30am - 12.00pm and 3.30pm - 6.00pm
Closed Sunday, Monday, 15 August and 1 November 2024
It all began with a flash of inspiration, a brilliant idea that brought light into the dark times of Covid. Arnold Delmonego, together with his daughter Nora, who is the fifth generation to run the family business in Klausen, wanted to build bridges.
The two master craftsmen, in whose workshop the shoes are still made by hand, suggested that artists and creative minds paint the shoes they had created. A challenge that was met with enthusiasm.
For the artists, it was an incentive to get involved, to break new ground, based on the premise of artistically designing an unusual medium in order to achieve surprising results. Craft and art go hand in hand in this exhibition, with the shoes also being flanked by various works by the artists.
Lothar Dellago: 70 years of sculpture
The ‘Art in the Old Town’ project, which brings the works of well-known artists into the old town of Klausen, is growing steadily and will be displayed in 29 shop windows in the upper and lower town this autumn. The exhibition is a tribute to the sculptor Lothar Dellago and his 70 years of creative work.
Dellago's sculptures - imbued with music - are dancers who sway their bodies to inaudible sounds and express an irrepressible joy in life, movement and mutual encounters. The players, on the other hand, appear almost static, portraying well-known figures from the world of music. Art arises from the imagination, but
Dellago's work is above all mental labour: ‘I try to get to the heart of the matter with just a few strokes.’ His art is the condensation of the line on a smooth surface, the reduction of the narrative to the essentials: the essence of the line.

In the Body of Language Im Körper der Sprache Nel corpo del linguaggio describes in three languages an environment that is explored with this art biennial and at the same time the state of our existence in the impossibility of separating the spiritual from the physical. Even if language is ultimately limited to a translation of inner experience and cognition, the communicable part of our experience and understanding of the world can be expressed in it. Language is a means of participation and has revolutionary potential. It builds worlds within us and around us, creates connections and demarcations. At the same time, it is alive and in constant motion - it reflects the political and social upheavals of our time.
The two-part special exhibition shows a representative overview of Robert Pan's oeuvre, while other works by the artist are integrated into the permanent exhibition in the historic building, creating an exciting dialogue with the Baroque furnishings of the imperial and episcopal appartments. This unusual combination opens up a dialogue across epochs: Pan's experimental abstract compositions, which focus on forms, colours and structures, interact with the strongly symbolic works of the Baroque masters. The exhibition thus not only offers the opportunity to trace Robert Pan's artistic development, but also invites visitors to experience the visually appealing contrast between different forms of artistic expression.
