Taufers im Münstertal/Tubre, Vinschgau/Val Venosta
In a snowstorm on a mountain pass, with a violin in your luggage: a forgotten chapter of music history? The ensemble histoirefuture follows a special trail into the mountains and discovers a new perspective on music around 1650, when many musicians undertook the crossing of the Alps on foot. The tensions between wilderness and civilisation, nature and art, freedom and security are central aspects of a poetic exploration. On the walk from Müstair to Taufers, participants will also be moved by music.
A separate short guided tour of the monastery church is offered from 1.30 - 2 pm (German language). The hike starts at 2 pm. The walk takes around 50 minutes, is 2.6 kilometres long and covers around 136 metres in altitude. The return journey is by post bus at 3.59 pm or 4.17 pm from Taufers St. Johann. In case of bad weather, there will be a concert in the Heiligkreuz Chapel. A collection is requested.
