Gala Concert of the Original Tiroler Kaiserjägermusik at the Kursaal Merano The roots of the Kaiserjäger music date back to 1741, when military bands were employed for the first time. The official name “Kaiserjägermusik” was granted to the band on January 16, 1816, after Emperor Franz I issued a decree. The band’s history has been eventful: it was dissolved and re-established several times. On April 25, 1895, the former Tyrolean “Kaiser” Rifle Regiment was divided into four Kaiserjäger regiments, each of which received its own band. However, with the fall of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, the Kaiserjäger bands also fell silent. In 1972, the Original Tiroler Kaiserjägermusik was revived by former military bandmaster Obstlt. Prof. Siegfried Somma. Since then, it has been recognized as a musical ambassador of Tyrol and has made a significant contribution to preserving Austria’s military-historical traditions. Under the direction of the new bandmaster Norbert Amon and with outstanding musicians from over 30 Tyrolean communities and in some cases even beyond the band has earned a special place in the local brass music scene and enjoys wide recognition far beyond the region. Francesca Bertazzo Hart, active on the national and international jazz scene for nearly twenty years, presents a repertoire dedicated to Christmas. The songs, among the most famous holiday evergreens, evoke the season’s typical atmosphere: from Santa Claus to Jack Frost to Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, all reinterpreted in a jazz style and enriched with swing and original arrangements.

This winter, we are excited to once again offer an exclusive ice skating course in collaboration with the talented figure skater Sara Furlan. With her many years of experience and passion for the sport, Sara will inspire you with the fun and beauty of ice skating. The courses are divided by age groups: Children aged 3–5: 16:00–17:00 Children aged 6 and older: 17:00–18:00 Sara recommends attending all the sessions to get the most out of the training. However, if you can only attend a single session, that is also possible. Christmas Celebration on December 20th: As a special highlight, Sara invites you to a small Christmas celebration on December 20th at 5PM. The children will have the opportunity to show their parents what they’ve learned. Afterwards, we will enjoy a festive drink together at the snack stand.

Every Thursday in December, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the Laurin Bar comes alive with the long aperitif: classic aperitifs, signature cocktails, a fresh buffet (20 €), and music selected by the live DJ. The event is also open to external guests.

Io.Co Show: South Tyrol's answer to American late-night shows! A sharp, entertaining, overwhelming, and always interesting show! Together with entertainer Gianluca Iocolano, two guests will take to the stage to tell little-known or unknown stories, making this the most bilingual talk show around and inspiring the audience! The Group of devils in Villnöss valley organises the traditional Krampus parade. Over 10 Krampus groups from all over South Tyrol await you.
The festival starts at 6.30 pm; the Krampus run begins at 7.30 pm. The route is closed off. Afterwards, after-show party in the culture house of St. Peter with DJ Double Dee & DJ Speedy.

When a little dreamer loses their balloon, a magical journey begins—through light, music, and boundless imagination.
Oops is an immersive spectacle that transforms the façade of the Hofburg Brixen into a living canvas, brought to life by 10 powerful projectors. Accompanied by an original soundtrack from electronic music legend Giorgio Moroder, this visual journey invites audiences into fantastical worlds full of wonder and delight.
A show that amazes all ages—and supports a good cause: for every ticket sold, a donation of €1 goes to UNICEF.

As you stroll through the small wooden huts, glowing with warm lights and festively decorated, you’ll be enveloped by an inviting atmosphere. The scent of hot mulled wine and delicious treats invites you to pause and enjoy the magic of the holiday season. Each hut offers unique handmade treasures that showcase the craftsmanship of local artisans.

A highlight of the market is the impressive life-sized nativity scene, lovingly carved by the sculptor Leo Moroder. Every year, new figures are added, making this artwork a vibrant symbol of the most beautiful Christmas traditions.

And when live music fills the air between the snow-covered huts, the market becomes even more enchanting. On certain evenings, concerts create a truly special festive atmosphere.

Last year, for every cup of mulled wine sold, €1.00 was donated to Aiüt Alpin Dolomites, raising a total of €3,000 in support of the valuable work of the mountain rescue team.
This year, the initiative continues, with a part of the proceeds being donated to another local association, sharing the magic of Christmas through solidarity.
