During the Bolzano Christmas Market, bands and musical groups will brighten the days with traditional Christmas melodies.
Taking part as well are the choirs of the Parish of St. Augustine, the church located in the Gries district, bringing a warm and authentic atmosphere to accompany visitors into the spirit of Advent.

During Alm Advent, the Fane Alm transform into a cozy place filled with festive anticipation on all Advent Sundays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Visitors can look forward to mulled wine, South Tyrolean specialties, a lovingly designed children’s program with crafting and storytelling, as well as stalls offering homemade products.

Each Advent Sunday features its own special highlight:

On the 1st Sunday of Advent (30/11/2025), an alpine devotion takes place at 2 pm, accompanied by a four-part choir and then the brass ensemble of the Valles music band.

On the 2nd Sunday of Advent (07/12/2025), St. Nicholas visits the hut at 2 pm, with musical accompaniment by the Terento men’s choir.

On the 3rd Sunday of Advent (14/12/2025), the brass ensemble of the Rodeneck music band provides contemplative music.

The 4th Sunday of Advent (21/12/2025) is accompanied musically by Thomas Mahlknecht and Johannes Oberhofer

A heartwarming Advent experience for young and old alike!

For centuries, horn instruments of different materials and shapes have been made and played on all continents. As early as the 16th century, the alphorn served not only as a call and signal horn, but also as a toy for shepherds and has become firmly established in the Alpine region in recent decades, with its own style of playing and dialect

Oops – The Light and Music Show That Enchants When a little dreamer loses their balloon, a magical journey begins—through light, music, and boundless imagination. Oops is an immersive spectacle that transforms the façade of the Hofburg Brixen into a living canvas, brought to life by 10 powerful projectors. Accompanied by an original soundtrack from electronic music legend Giorgio Moroder, this visual journey invites audiences into fantastical worlds full of wonder and delight. Toni Servillo, Giuliana De Sio, Vinicio Marchioni, Alessandro Haber, Teresa Saponangelo, Silvio Orlando, Gabriele Lavia, Neri Marcorè, and many other leading figures of the international theatre scene are part of the 2025/2026 season of the Teatro Stabile, taking place in Bolzano. This year’s season includes 12 subscription events and a special performance featuring Stefano Massini.

A major all-female encounter between Geneva-born saxophonist, singer, and composer María Grand and emerging pianist Maya Keren, originally from Philadelphia and now based in Brooklyn.

The compositions, almost entirely original, weave together free improvisations and hyper-precisely written music: some inspired by María’s exploration of the human subconscious, others born from purely mathematical ideas, creating a virtuosic sound reminiscent of classic “straight ahead” jazz.

The duo tells stories of modern women with ancient roots, capable of unfolding in real time and revealing archetypes and futuristic wonders. The goal is never to play “correctly,” but to give free rein to experience, with all the risks and pleasures that come with it. Above all, the music focuses on what touches the human: sincere, intense, and intentional.

If women don’t become mothers and mothers can’t cope – a performance by Julia Jenewein

Motherhood is political. And so is the choice not to become a mother. From “It’ll happen sooner or later” to “You’ll regret it,” childless women or those who don’t intend to have children are often judged, while the “maternal instinct” is idealized and motherhood romanticized. With the most personal and intimate decision of their lives, women inevitably find themselves under public scrutiny, often losing their own voice. But what is motherhood really like? And what happens when one regrets becoming a mother? When one cannot become a mother, or when the biological clock doesn’t start ticking?

In this performance, two women openly confront all the (often taboo) issues surrounding reproduction and the ability to give life: from mental load to “regretting motherhood,” from pregnancy (and abortion) to birth culture. An intense and provocative evening that explores everything arising from the “question of all questions”: the one about children.

Gala Concert of the Original Tiroler Kaiserjägermusik at the Kursaal Merano The roots of the Kaiserjäger music date back to 1741, when military bands were employed for the first time. The official name “Kaiserjägermusik” was granted to the band on January 16, 1816, after Emperor Franz I issued a decree. The band’s history has been eventful: it was dissolved and re-established several times. On April 25, 1895, the former Tyrolean “Kaiser” Rifle Regiment was divided into four Kaiserjäger regiments, each of which received its own band. However, with the fall of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, the Kaiserjäger bands also fell silent. In 1972, the Original Tiroler Kaiserjägermusik was revived by former military bandmaster Obstlt. Prof. Siegfried Somma. Since then, it has been recognized as a musical ambassador of Tyrol and has made a significant contribution to preserving Austria’s military-historical traditions. Under the direction of the new bandmaster Norbert Amon and with outstanding musicians from over 30 Tyrolean communities and in some cases even beyond the band has earned a special place in the local brass music scene and enjoys wide recognition far beyond the region.
