Sonia, a passionate pastry chef from Postal, invites you into her pastry shop. You can watch her at work and give her a hand in the production of homemade ice cream. Sugar and eggs, milk and cream, fruit and flavourings are ready to be transformed into the most delicious of summer creations. With exquisite marzipan, you can shape simple figures. The preparation of filled biscuits concludes your afternoon in Sonia's pastry shop. And as a reward, there's a scoop of your favourite ice cream to enjoy.

The long-awaited summer event begins with the parade of the Colfosco-Corvara Music Band, which marches through the pedestrian area of Corvara, attracting your attention with its music and beautiful traditional costumes. This is followed by the concert of the band with folk and modern melodies in front of the majestic Sassongher, Corvara's iconic mountain, illuminated for the occasion by the Mountain Rescue Aiüt Alpin Alta Badia. Who knows if you won't see a shooting star next to the illuminated Sassongher… In case of bad weather, the concert of the band will take place at 9.15 p.m. in the Corvara events hall and the illumination of the Sassongher will be cancelled. The night sky has fascinated humans since ancient times. With an expert eye you can discover many things about stars, planets and constellations in the sky above Alta Badia. Enrico, astronomy enthusiast, takes you with him during this night observation taking advantage of the total darkness to admire the beauty of the universe (in Italian language). At 1 p.m. special ride with the historic narrow-gauge railway from the station Oberbozen to Maria Himmelfahrt and back. Accompanied by the train experts Martin Broy & Klaus Demar who tell interesting facts about the history of the Ritten Railway, followed by a short guided tour of the Remise in Oberbozen. Every year in August, a particularly large number of shooting stars flit across the night sky. From 17 July to 24 August, the so-called "Perseids" reach their peak this year. This is also the case on Tuesday, 13 August and the Knottnkino cinema in Vöran is the ideal place to keep an eye out for the "lucky charms". Bring a picnic blanket, listen to the pleasant sounds of Julian and Jana and enjoy some tasty snacks ... Members of the South Tyrolean amateur astronomers "Max Valier" will also be there, with telescopes and interesting stories to tell about the night sky. From the Mendel Pass we hike in beautiful woodland up to the Halbweg Hut and on to the beautifully situated Romeno Alp, also called the Roèn Alp, and on to the Überetscher Hut with a view of the Kalterersee or Unterland lakes. You will be taken by shuttle to the Passo delle Erbe or you can drive to the venue in your own car, where a unique stargazing experience will take place. There will be observation points with a variety of telescopes. With the help of experts, stars and constellations will be presented to you. This great event will be framed by the melodies of a piano. Guided tour through the apple meadows in Lana (with reservation). Our farmer will guide you through their fields, explains you about the healthy ingredients, the production area and about all sorts and brands of the South Tyrolean apple. Gain insight into the secrets of the apple farmers - from the latest technology of today and the gnarled giants of the past. Afterwards, you can taste for yourself.

In collaboration with the association “Bresadola” an exhibition is organized on the various types of mushrooms in our forests. Time and place: from 16th to 18th August in the Puez-Geisler Nature Park Visitor Center. Mycological excursion with a mushroom expert on Friday, 16th August 2024 at 2.30 pm starting from the Visitor Center, followed by a lecture at around 6 pm (in German and Italian). From the car park in Reinswald we hike moderately uphill to the Stöfflhütte and spend our lunch break here. The trail then leads gently up and down to the Prackfriederer Jöchl, then partly more steeply down to the Mühlen snack station and after a short stretch back to Reinswald. Copper and Coal

The STMM turns into a time machine and we travel back to the adventurous world of mining in the Middle Ages. Especially in the 15th century, copper smelting was one of the highest craftsmanship, as copper was one of the most sought-after metals.

From 23 to 25 August, re-enactment groups from South Tyrol, Germany and Trentino will set up their tents in the Nikolaus gallery of the former Prettau copper mine and demonstrate their craft to spectators ina historically accurate manner. From ore cutting to charcoal burning to copper smelting, from cooking to clothing to numismatics, from woodcutters to miners to the court of Maximilian I, we experience the exciting era first hand and gain new insights through experimental archeology.

The sparks fly, the coal glows and copper flows.

From the car park in front of the Enzianalm we hike to the Enzianhütte, then past the ruins of the former Hotel Paradiso to reach the Zufallhütte via the Schluchtenweg. Discover the WineCulturePath of Marlengo. From the village centre, it leads along quiet village streets via the numerous wine farms. Along the way you can find information panels about the history and culture of wine as well as giant-size items used in winegrowing. After the walk follows a wine-tasting. The event takes place in German or Italian language. Reservation until wednesday, 5 p.m. Price: 18 € per person.

Many legends and tales are entwined around the world underground: there are reports of treacherous Antrians, wise and good-natured Saligen and bulls gone berserk. The underground world invites you to dream and listen to fairy tales and stories. We tell these legends to all adventurous children and their parents on Sunday, August 27th, at the Prettau and Ridnaun locations and dive into the mystical world of the South Tyrolean mines and surrounding valleys with them. In the handicraft corner, the sagas are given a new look and the creative works for the stories are published in our children's gallery. Be part of the fourth day of legends at the State Museum of Mining and let yourself be enchanted by the legendary mining world.

The starting point is Weißbrunn at the far end of the Ultental Valley. We hike through larches and Zirmenwald forest high above the valley to the rear Flatschberg Alm. For two days, Kaltern will be all about its local wines. Starting from 6 pm, on Thursday, September 5th and Friday 6th 2024, at the main square, in the heart of Kaltern, the local wine producers will offer their wines for degustation. Visitors and wine lovers will have the chance to taste different wines, get informed by wine producers, cellar masters and wine experts and finally enjoy a nice conversation amongst wine enthusiasts.

A full day in which we invite visitors with disabilities (valid I.D. or official validation required) and a companion to enjoy the magnificent spring flowers at the barrier-free Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle – absolutely free of charge. At the Touriseum, visitors can take an entertaining journey through the history of tourism in Tyrol. In cooperation with the South Tyrolean Dachverband für Soziales und Gesundheit – Federazione per il Sociale e la Sanità.

From Truden, we first hike along a partly tarmac and partly paved small road and along a forest path, which is only moderately uphill and partly flat, to the meadows of the Cisloner Almen and the restaurant. Here we can stop for a bite to eat. The way back leads through the forest, across a larch meadow to a first crossroads and then on a nice level path to another crossroads with the "Jägerkreuz".
