On the tracks of the biathlon elite: Come and experience the excitement of this large sports venue that has already hosted numerous international competitions. Take a closer look at the technical and functional rooms, the entire administration building and the spectator stands in more detail. We tell you exciting stories and give you interesting facts about the Südtirol Arena and not to be missed: we will also take a look at Antholz 2026. A film about biathlon rounds off your knowledge of the sport. Finally you can feel like an elite Biathlete and try out biathlon shooting: put your marksmanship to the test with five shots. Guided tours of the biathlon stadium including biathlon shooting at realistic small-bore conditions are scheduled twice a week from June to October in German and Italian language. Join us on an exciting journey into the world of firefighters in South Tyrol and Alta Badia! Discover their daily work up close by visiting a fire station, where you can observe emergency vehicles, state-of-the-art equipment, and the strategies used to ensure the safety of the community. Through stories from the members of the San Cassiano fire brigade, you will learn about their activities throughout the year and the challenges firefighters face every day, from rescue operations to fire-fighting and civil protection interventions (in Italian language). A unique experience for both young and old, focused on discovery and respect for these modern heroes! Participation in the activity is free, but registration online or in our tourist offices is required. During the event photos or video footage may be taken for the purpose of documentation and promotion of the event and the region. This apple tour will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about our local fruit. You can explore the plantages in the company of our apple expert Franz and follow the storage, sorting, packaging and shipping of the South Tyrolean apple. Our apple expert will let you in on all kinds of secrets about our apples' goodness, the varieties and how best to store them at home. Registration required: Until Monday at 4 PM online or at the Tourist Association Marling. The event takes place in German.

Would you like to learn more about the crunchy all-rounder apple? Then a guided apple tour through the orchards is just the thing for you. Our fruit farmer will accompany you and tell you everything you need to know about this diverse fruit. As a culinary conclusion, you can expect a tasting of delicious apples and apple juice. The guided tour will be in German and Italian.

Also on the agenda are visits to the mausoleum, old and new Parish Churches and St. Martin’s Chapel. This is then followed by a tour of Schenna Castle for anyone who would like to take part.

The long-awaited summer event begins with the parade of the Colfosco-Corvara Music Band, which marches through the pedestrian area of Corvara, attracting your attention with its music and beautiful traditional costumes. This is followed by the concert of the band with folk and modern melodies in front of the majestic Sassongher, Corvara's iconic mountain, illuminated for the occasion by the Mountain Rescue Aiüt Alpin Alta Badia and the lighthouse of the Corvara fire station. Who knows if you won't see a shooting star next to the illuminated Sassongher… In case of bad weather, the concert of the band will take place at 9.15 p.m. in the Corvara events hall and the illumination of the Sassongher will be cancelled. On August 9, 2025, the South Tyrol CUP of the Volunteer Fire Brigade Youth will stop in Tesido, marking the second of three competition stages. Young firefighting teams will compete with skill, speed, and teamwork to secure victory. Spectators can look forward to an exciting competition day filled with action, modern firefighting technology, and true camaraderie.

Every year in August, a particularly large number of shooting stars flit across the night sky. From 11 to 147th of August, the so-called "Perseids" reach their peak this year. This is also the case on Tuesday, 12th August and the Knottnkino cinema in Vöran is the ideal place to keep an eye out for the "lucky charms". Bring a picnic blanket, listen to pleasant sounds and enjoy some tasty snacks ... Members of the South Tyrolean amateur astronomers "Max Valier" will also be there, with telescopes and interesting stories to tell about the night sky. Photographs and videos may be taken at the event for the purpose of documenting and promoting the event and the area. At 1 p.m. special ride with the historic narrow-gauge railway from the train station Oberbozen to Maria Himmelfahrt and back. Accompanied by the train experts who tell interesting facts about the history of the Ritten Railway, followed by a short guided tour of the Remise in Oberbozen. Price: € 10, € 5 kids (6-14 years). Starting from the village center, the nature and landscape enthusiast Martin leads you along a trail that winds through quiet streets, passing by the Cantina Merano Winery and several other local wineries. Along the way, you’ll encounter informative panels about the history and culture of wine, as well as larger-than-life winegrowing constructions. This approximately 1, ½ -hour walk concludes with a wine tasting at a local winery in Marling or the Cantina Merano Winery in Marling. Guided by a winemaker or cellar master, you’ll enjoy a selection of local wines paired with a traditional “Marendbrettl” (South Tyrolean snack). For two days, Kaltern will be all about its local wines. Starting from 6 pm, on Thursday, September 4th and Friday 5th 2025, at the main square, in the heart of Kaltern, the local wine producers will offer their wines for degustation. Visitors and wine lovers will have the chance to taste different wines, get informed by wine producers, cellar masters and wine experts and finally enjoy a nice conversation amongst wine enthusiasts.

A full day in which we invite visitors with disabilities (valid I.D. or official validation required) and a companion to enjoy the magnificent late summer flowers at the barrier-free Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle – absolutely free of charge.At the Touriseum, visitors can take an entertaining journey through the history of tourism in Tyrol.

A timeless jewel with an imposing keep from the 12th century in the Pustertal Valley. The castle, extended in the 15th and 16th centuries, experienced a moment of destiny in 1765 due to a fire. The bonfire of chestnuts kicking off the event at all the Buschenschänke taverns. Leaves in hues of gold and scarlet-red begin to dot the mountains, and the aroma of grapes, ripened by the summer sun, still wafts through the vineyards. This is the environment in which the Törggelen tradition was born: the farmers would invite friends and neighbors to their wine cellars and cozy Stuben parlors in order to celebrate the crushing of the grapes. Today, in keeping with authentic practice of the tradition, chestnuts from neighboring groves are served together with homemade wine, and visitors can sample local specialties. As part of the Original Törggelen event, rural taverns known as Buschenschänke have been selected that meet the quality criteria of the Red Rooster brand. This year there are 18 taverns: located in the Isarco/Etschtal Valley, around Bozen and Meran, and along the Wine Route. The taverns in the Isarco/Etschtal Valley are connected to one another by the Eisacktal Chestnut Trail ("Keschtnweg"). Inauguration The bonfire of chestnuts, or Keschtnfeuer, will be lit at 7 p.m., kicking off the Original Törggelen event at all nine Buschenschänke taverns. In addition to serving fine wines, roasting chestnuts and preparing local specialties, the farmers will conduct tours and wine tastings starting at 6 p.m. Advance bookings are required at the participating farms (limited number of participants).

Every year on the first Sunday in October, Italy's distilleries open their doors. Visitors are given the opportunity to look over the master distiller's shoulder and take part in the attractive supporting program. The Roner distillery opens its doors, offering guided tours of the distillery and free tastings throughout the day.

The guided excursions about the cestnut to Glaning/Afing will start every Thursday at 10 a.m. at the tourist office of San Genesio. During this excursion, you will learn many secrets about the cultivation of these precious autumn fruits admiring the colorful chestnut trees. There will be breaks with local product tastings at the "Törggelen" restaurants of San Genesio. Registration is required: within 12 noon of the previous day, by telephone or by e-mail contacting the Tourist Office S. Genesio.

Our Program in Tramin WineSounds on the Alto Adige Wine Road - at Ansitz of Elena Walch Winery On October 25th, we invite you to the Wine Sounds event at the Ansitz of Elena Walch Winery at 10:30 AM. The historic winery of Elena Walch will open its doors to the concert attendees. After the final notes have faded away in the historically significant courtyard, with a view of the picturesque mountain scenery, we will take you on a journey of discovery through our wine cellars. Today, in the former Jesuit monastery, using both traditional and avant-garde techniques, Elena Walch creates her multi-award-winning wines. The charming contrast between intricately carved wooden barrels and the highly modern fermentation cellar with its architectural highlights perfectly reflects our identity and versatility. Following the concert, there will be a tasting of selected wines in the estate's park, where you'll have the opportunity to experience it for yourself!
