From the Vallunga valley, we follow forest and gravel paths to the Juac hut, where we enjoy the panorama. Surrounded by imposing rock walls, the tour continues to the “Rifugio Firenze” hut on Col Raiser. After a break, we bike to St. Jakob, the oldest church in Val Gardena, and then to Ortisei. Starting from Laion by bus, passing through Chiusa, we reach the Alpe di Villandro. The hike begins once we arrive at the parking of the Gasser hut. The path leads us to the Rinderplatz hut, passing by Mount Samberg and Mount Pfundres. Upon arrival at the Villanders mine, we visit one of the most important mining areas in Tyrol. The impressive tunnels and historical artifacts provide a glimpse into mining history. After the visit, we return to Laion.
