The photography exhibition Every Child is LIFE celebrates the miracle of birth and the universal strength of life. Dutch photographer Ilvy Njiokiktjien captured newborns in Peru, Mali, Mongolia and Bangladesh between 2018 and 2019, portraying with great sensitivity the most fragile yet powerful moment of existence. A year later, Armenian photographer Anush Babajanyan returned to photograph the same children, creating a second chapter that tells a story of growth, resilience and the vital importance of continuous access to healthcare. For the fourth time, the Höllenschlucht Krampus Lana are organizing their popular “Night of Hell”, now well known beyond South Tyrol’s borders. On November 22, 2025, the area around the Lana sports zone will once again be transformed into a fiery spectacle. Starting at 5:00 PM, 34 Krampus groups from across the Alpine region will parade from Lana South’s industrial zone to the sports field, where a thrilling show awaits. Along the route, food and drink stands will offer refreshments, and many local associations will support the event, including emergency services, the Lana music band, and youth and cultural groups. The evening will continue with an Aftershow Party featuring three stages: live music by “Firedrops”, DJs in the main tent, and an outdoor Après-Ski area — something for everyone!

St Nicholas procession with little Krampuses in Lana. The idea of taking away the fear of Krampus from the youngest children in our village at an early age bore great fruit last year. St. Nicholas will parade through the Gries with his little entourage on 6 December and distribute his gifts to the children at the Thalerhof, from the Capuchin church in Lana at 5.00 pm.

Note: The hike is only in German and Italian. Ski tour for beginners and slightly advanced skiers accompanied by a mountain guide. Descent on skis from the mountain station Grawand to an altitude of around 2,700 meters. From this point you start the ascent in the open terrain, which, depending on the conditions, brings the group to 3,100 m (glacier terrain). After a short rest, a descent in soft powder awaits you. The prepared valley run takes you back to the starting point of the tour to Maso Corto/Kurzras. In the case of bad weather, the tour will start from Maso Corto/Kurzras. You will hear historical and current facts about Marling and one or two Christmas stories on the evening lantern walk through the village center of Marling. You will be accompanied by our local guide Johanna. After the evening walk, you’ll be welcomed at the pavilion in Marling with sweet pastries, a glass of Marling wine, or a refreshing South Tyrolean apple juice, the perfect way to conclude a unforgettable evening. Group ascent with the Schnalstal Valley Glacier Cable Car to 3,200 metres. We’ll cross the Hochjochferner accompanied by a mountain guide, experience the glacier in all its beauty, and learn many interesting and historical things. At the end of the glacier there is an ice cave at 2,800 m. After exploring the cave and taking a rest in this solitary alpine world, the path continues to the Schöne Aussicht Refuge and afterwards we descend to the Teufelsegghütte Mountain Hut.
