Living heritage of the Dolomites The travelling exhibition with 20 impressive panels was designed for the 50th anniversary of the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park. The open-air exhibition shows pictures of the impressive landscape of the nature park and the diversity of flora and fauna. The exhibition also tells of the beginnings of the mountain refuges and of the people who live and work in the nature park.

The exhibition NATURAL ELEMENTS, taking place from May 31 to October 19, 2025, in Seis am Schlern, presents a selection of works by Ahrntal artist Alois Steger.

Working with multimedia, the artist, together with curator Eva von Ingram Harpf, has selected seven artworks for the village center of this Dolomite village, which integrate symbiotically into the historical setting.

Created from natural elements and materials, the works are designed to gradually change over the course of the exhibition due to weathering.

The small but fine School Museum at Tagusens shows visitors and interested people the life of the pupils between the years 1933 and 1993 and is a unique collection of furnishings and teaching documents that have been preserved on site. The school life in Tagusens did not mean an encounter with the "foreign" world for the "ABC-Shooters". The children in the lonely place knew each other, only the teacher changed year after year. Furnishings and teaching objects were less worn than elsewhere and thus remained intact. Nostalgic feelings and memories are certainly not absent here and seduce to a bygone era. The school museum is open every Wednesday and Friday from 14:00-18:00 and every Sunday from 10:00-18:00. You do not need to register for a visit.

On Thursdays and Sundays you can enjoy a delicious brunch at the Alpina Chalet.

Summer Classics in Seis am Schlern Seis offers an extraordinary series of concerts for lovers of classical music. An exciting adventure awaits you during the guided tour of the church tower! From our expert guide Oswald Tröbinger you will not only learn why the church and the tower were built separately, but also have the opportunity to climb the observation tower: 82 meters high, with more than 300 steps. The tour lasts one hour and is a must for every visitor. The tour is only in German. However, you can still take part to see the tower from inside.

Join us on a gentle hike through the wild and romantic Tschamin Valley – one of the most untouched gems of the Dolomites. Together with our hiking guide Julian, you'll explore not only breathtaking scenery but also hear fascinating stories about local life, including the traditions of the mountain people, the legend of the “Saures Wasserle,” and more. We'll take a relaxing lunch break at the scenic “right Leger” before heading back to the Tschamin Schwaige, where a well-deserved refreshment awaits. To round off the day, we’ll visit the Nature Park Information Center at the historic Steger Sawmill. Although the old Venetian saw is currently out of service due to storm damage, the exhibition is open and well worth a visit. You’ll find insights into traditional alpine craftsmanship, local geology, and the region’s flora and fauna – all presented through interactive displays, audio stations, and a small film room. Discover the Infopoint Steger Sawmill! Visitors can explore a Venetian frame saw from the 16.th century as well as the former sawmaster's house. In addition to these witnesses of Alpine craftsmanship anc cultural heritage, the infopoint also features various exhibition elements. These include a sound station for bird calls, a film booth, a visitor information system about the fauna, flora and geology of the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park. The hay baths in Fiè allo Sciliar have been practiced since 1903. During this guided tour, we will tell you about the culture and the healing effect of the hay bath. The hay bath originated from a tradition of the farmers who took their night's lodging in the hay barn during haymaking and noticed that after a night in the hay the tiredness of the previous day was blown away. Those who spend their wellness holidays around the Alpe di Siusi can relax in the hay according to an old tradition. The medicinal herbs such as thyme, arnica, cinquefoil and gentian unfold their full effect when you sweat. The grass for the hay bath, interspersed with the many medicinal herbs, is mown exclusively on unfertilised meadows, early in the morning or late in the evening, in order to preserve all the essential essences.

Farmers' market in the centre of the village of Seis am Schlern at the O.v.Wolkenstein square. Local farmers sell their products such as vegetables, fruit, cheese, juices and many other things.

"Craft market APPAT" Arts and crafts The traditional craft market in Kastelruth takes place in the summer months of July and August. It takes place every Wednesday in the village square and offers a variety of traditional handicrafts and, but also artisan products such as woodwork, glasswork, leather goods and much more. There are also a number of artisans offering handmade jewelry, ceramics and other handcrafted products.

In his presentation "Magical Dolomites", Fabian Dalpiaz presents a selection of his most beautiful and magical photographs and short films that bring the magic of the Dolomites to life. He will tell you what is so special about his work and how he made it all the way to London and Florida with his photographs of the starry sky above the Dolomites. The event will be presented in German and Italian. No registration is required to attend the presentation. Admission is free. Admission is from 20:30 to 21:00. Anyone arriving after 21:00 will not be able to attend the presentation as the room will be closed. Number of participants 100 persons
