On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park, we cordially invite you to the exhibition “Impronte d'Anima” by photographers Annamaria Pernstich and Valter Pallaoro. Discover the beauty of nature through the lens of two extraordinary photographers. The exhibition shows deeply moving impressions that nature leaves in our souls, captured in impressive images. We would particularly like to draw your attention to the vernissage on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 18:00. The evening will be accompanied by music from pianist Elisabetta Fusillo and tenor Roberto Costantino Catania.

Living heritage of the Dolomites The travelling exhibition with 20 impressive panels was designed for the 50th anniversary of the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park. The open-air exhibition shows pictures of the impressive landscape of the nature park and the diversity of flora and fauna. The exhibition also tells of the beginnings of the mountain refuges and of the people who live and work in the nature park. The exhibition travels to every village in the Dolomites region from June to October and is accessible free of charge. The exhibition TRACES presents a selection of works by the artist Aron Demetz. Sculptures made of wood, bronze as well as digital scans and milled objects created in recent years are on display. An overview that reveals the different souls of the South Tyrolean sculptor: the poetic and expressive power of the figures, the absoluteness of the composition, the continuous experimentation with techniques and materials. Cultural roots of the region are conveyed with a contemporary approach. curated by Eva von Ingram Harpf The exhibition of the sculptures of Aron Demetz can be seen in the village center of Seis until mid-October.

Summer Classics: Classic concert with "Brass ensemble Philomousia" in the Culture House in Seis am Schlern. The brass ensemble Philomousia was founded in 2005 and has since performed regularly in a variety of formations, from a trio to an extended brass ensemble. The dilettantes (in the literal sense) are particularly keen to cultivate and disseminate classical harmony music. The repertoire ranges from original pre-classical works to typical arrangements of important operas and symphonies from the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 20th century for this instrumentation. Othmar Trenner was the ensemble's musical director for ten years, and Manfred Egger has been in charge since 2023.

With our hiking guide Julian, we will venture into the wild and romantic Tschamin Valley. Immerse yourself in the history of Tiers: along the way, you will learn fascinating facts about the Bergler, the Tschamintaler, the Sour Waterle, and more. An exciting adventure awaits you during the guided tour of the church tower! From our expert guide Oswald Tröbinger you will not only learn why the church and the tower were built separately, but also have the opportunity to climb the observation tower: 82 meters high, with more than 300 steps. The tour lasts one hour and is a must for every visitor. The tour is only in German and Italian. However, you can still take part to see the tower from inside.

Guided family hike acrtoss the Seiser Alm, in the nature park Schlern-Rosengarten. On the way Michaela will tell you stories about our nature park, the geology and the legends around this place. Suitable for 6 years old children and older. Children must be accompained by an adult.

If you hadn’t realised it before, when the first rays of sun timidly appear on the surrounding peaks you will see just how much it was worth getting up so early. A sunrise mountain tour on the Schlern mountain is a very special experience. A shuttle bus will take you to the Saltner Tschapit hut, where the ascent begins. Equipped with headlamps, you will arrive at Monte Petz (2,564 m) at around 6:50, in perfect time for the sunrise. After this natural spectacle, a well-earned breakfast awaits you at the Schlernhaus mountain refuge, also known as the “castle in the mountains”. The power of alpine herbs. The hay baths in Fiè allo Sciliar have been practiced since 1903. During this guided tour, we will tell you about the culture and the healing effect of the hay bath. The hay bath originated from a tradition of the farmers who took their night's lodging in the hay barn during haymaking and noticed that after a night in the hay the tiredness of the previous day was blown away. Those who spend their wellness holidays around the Alpe di Siusi can relax in the hay according to an old tradition. The medicinal herbs such as thyme, arnica, cinquefoil and gentian unfold their full effect when you sweat. The grass for the hay bath, interspersed with the many medicinal herbs, is mown exclusively on unfertilised meadows, early in the morning or late in the evening, in order to preserve all the essential essences. Farmers' market in the centre of the village of Seis am Schlern at the O.v.Wolkenstein square. Local farmers sell their products such as vegetables, fruit, cheese, juices and many other things.

In his presentation "Magical Dolomites", Fabian Dalpiaz presents a selection of his most beautiful and magical photographs and short films that bring the magic of the Dolomites to life. He will tell you what is so special about his work and how he made it all the way to London and Florida with his photographs of the starry sky above the Dolomites. The event will be presented in German and Italian. No registration is required to attend the presentation. Admission is free. Admission is from 19:30 to 20:00. Experience the fascinating beauty of the Dolomites on a round trip with a small bus! Departure is from Völs am Schlern at 8:00 am, from Seis am Schlern at 8:10 am and from Kastelruth at 8:20 am. The route takes you from Völs to Kastelruth through the enchanting Val Gardena, over the Sella Pass and the impressive Pordoi Pass, up to the Falzarego Pass and on to Cortina d'Ampezzo. Lake Misurina awaits you there, where we take a break of about an hour. Here you have the opportunity to dine in the restaurant or enjoy some food you have brought with you while enjoying the view of the famous "Drei Zinnen". After a relaxing break, the journey continues into the Höhlenstein Valley and the historic town of Bruneck (no Stop). Arrival in Kastelruth is planned for around 17:30. The guide will speak German and Italian, but you are welcome to join the tour to enjoy the nature and beauty of the Dolomites. In the village center of Völs there is a weekly market every Wednesday from 08.00 a.m. - 12.00 noon.

The guided via ferrata tour on the small Cir peak is a unique experience for beginners aged 10 and up. On the tour you climb over some of the most impressive rock formations in the region and overcome some short but challenging passages. Helmut Kostner explains how to climb and shows you how to get safely over the rock faces. You will also receive valuable tips on equipment and safety.
