Living heritage of the Dolomites The travelling exhibition with 20 impressive panels was designed for the 50th anniversary of the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park. The open-air exhibition shows pictures of the impressive landscape of the nature park and the diversity of flora and fauna. The exhibition also tells of the beginnings of the mountain refuges and of the people who live and work in the nature park.

The exhibition NATURAL ELEMENTS, taking place from May 31 to October 19, 2025, in Seis am Schlern, presents a selection of works by Ahrntal artist Alois Steger.

Working with multimedia, the artist, together with curator Eva von Ingram Harpf, has selected seven artworks for the village center of this Dolomite village, which integrate symbiotically into the historical setting.

Created from natural elements and materials, the works are designed to gradually change over the course of the exhibition due to weathering.

Together with Kneipp expert Resi, we dive into the revitalizing world of Kneipp therapy and experience the power of water in the untouched nature surrounding Bad Ratzes. The Kneipp courses offer the opportunity to refresh body and mind and to discover the five pillars of Kneipp teachings: water, movement, nutrition, medicinal plants, and balance. The myths surrounding the Witches of the Schlern and other magical beings are still alive today, captivating young and old alike. Whether it’s brave knights, hidden treasures, or wild witch dances, Witch Martha will take you on a journey into a mysterious world full of legends and folklore. Discover the Infopoint Steger Sawmill! Visitors can explore a Venetian frame saw from the 16.th century as well as the former sawmaster's house. In addition to these witnesses of Alpine craftsmanship anc cultural heritage, the infopoint also features various exhibition elements. These include a sound station for bird calls, a film booth, a visitor information system about the fauna, flora and geology of the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park. Free guided tours every Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in German & at 11:00 a.m. in Italian.

"Farmer's Market" The village square of Kastelruth is blooming with peasant life. The farmer's market is an attractive way to get a mix of regional products and delicacies. The market is a perfect opportunity to spend the morning strolling through the alleys and buying local produce. Here you can find everything from fresh vegetables & fruits, bacon, cheese to various organic herbal products. Many stalls sell locally made products that are unique and distinctive to the region.

The small but fine School Museum at Tagusens shows visitors and interested people the life of the pupils between the years 1933 and 1993 and is a unique collection of furnishings and teaching documents that have been preserved on site. The school life in Tagusens did not mean an encounter with the "foreign" world for the "ABC-Shooters". The children in the lonely place knew each other, only the teacher changed year after year. Furnishings and teaching objects were less worn than elsewhere and thus remained intact. Nostalgic feelings and memories are certainly not absent here and seduce to a bygone era. The school museum is open every Wednesday and Friday from 14:00-18:00 and every Sunday from 10:00-18:00. You do not need to register for a visit.
