The exhibition TRACES presents a selection of works by the artist Aron Demetz. Sculptures made of wood, bronze as well as digital scans and milled objects created in recent years are on display. An overview that reveals the different souls of the South Tyrolean sculptor: the poetic and expressive power of the figures, the absoluteness of the composition, the continuous experimentation with techniques and materials. "Old handicraft under the Schlern" Experience old handcrafts in the village centre of Seis - various handicrafts such as shoemaking, spelt fencing, basket weaving and much more will be on display. Musical entertainment will be provided by Frisch Gstrichen, the Kraxen and the Steinegg children's Schuhplattler group. In cooperation with the local heritage associations and the artisan association of Kastelruth.

“Morning is the golden hour”. Never a truer word was said, as you’ll see when you get to the Rosszahnscharte ridge high above the Seiser Alm and behold the glow of early-morning light over the Dolomites at dawn. A shuttle service will take you to the Seiser Alm. Together with the mountain guide, you hike towards Panorama and, later, cross the slopes of the Goldknopf at the foot of the Rosszahnscharte ridge. A narrow hiking trail then winds upwards in a steep ascent to the Rosszahnscharte ridge (2,499 m), for the breath-taking beauty of the sunrise. Just a few minutes’ walk from here will take you to the Tierser Alpl mountain refuge, where you can recharge your batteries for the descent with a mountain breakfast. At 10.30 a.m. the feast starts with the celebration of the word and the blessing of the cattle at the cross Schnaggen. Afterwards the festivities begin with musical entertainment by the "Oachner Böhmische" and "Haniger Buabm". Food and drink are well provided. Enjoy fresh farmer's Krapfen directly there. An exciting adventure awaits you during the guided tour of the church tower! From our expert guide Oswald Tröbinger you will not only learn why the church and the tower were built separately, but also have the opportunity to climb the observation tower: 82 meters high, with more than 300 steps. The tour lasts one hour and is a must for every visitor. The tour is only in German and Italian. However, you can still take part to see the tower from inside.

Experience an unforgettable adventure amidst the breathtaking mountains of the Dolomites and be enchanted by the majestic beauty of the Latemar and its views. We take the cable car to the Frommer Alm and continue by bus to the Niger Pass-Welschnofen junction. From here, our hike begins with a pleasant climb up to the Latemar meadows. The wide path soon turns into a narrow path that winds its way across steep meadow slopes and finally via a rope-secured passage up to the 2,328 m high Poppekanzel. The way back is via the already familiar path down to the Hotel Antermont, where we then take our lunch break. If you hadn’t realised it before, when the first rays of sun timidly appear on the surrounding peaks you will see just how much it was worth getting up so early. A sunrise mountain tour on the Schlern mountain is a very special experience. A shuttle bus will take you to the Saltner Tschapit hut, where the ascent begins. Equipped with headlamps, you will arrive at Monte Petz (2,564 m) at around 6:50, in perfect time for the sunrise. After this natural spectacle, a well-earned breakfast awaits you at the Schlernhaus mountain refuge, also known as the “castle in the mountains”. The power of alpine herbs. The hay baths in Fiè allo Sciliar have been practiced since 1903. During this guided tour, we will tell you about the culture and the healing effect of the hay bath. The hay bath originated from a tradition of the farmers who took their night's lodging in the hay barn during haymaking and noticed that after a night in the hay the tiredness of the previous day was blown away. Those who spend their wellness holidays around the Alpe di Siusi can relax in the hay according to an old tradition. The medicinal herbs such as thyme, arnica, cinquefoil and gentian unfold their full effect when you sweat. The grass for the hay bath, interspersed with the many medicinal herbs, is mown exclusively on unfertilised meadows, early in the morning or late in the evening, in order to preserve all the essential essences. Living heritage of the Dolomites The travelling exhibition with 20 impressive panels was designed for the 50th anniversary of the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park. The open-air exhibition shows pictures of the impressive landscape of the nature park and the diversity of flora and fauna. The exhibition also tells of the beginnings of the mountain refuges and of the people who live and work in the nature park. The exhibition travels to every village in the Dolomites region from June to October and is accessible free of charge.

Farmers' market in the centre of the village of Seis am Schlern at the O.v.Wolkenstein square. Local farmers sell their products such as vegetables, fruit, cheese, juices and many other things.

In his presentation "Magical Dolomites", Fabian Dalpiaz presents a selection of his most beautiful and magical photographs and short films that bring the magic of the Dolomites to life. He will tell you what is so special about his work and how he made it all the way to London and Florida with his photographs of the starry sky above the Dolomites. The event will be presented in German and Italian. No registration is required to attend the presentation. Admission is free. Admission is from 19:30 to 20:00. Experience the fascinating beauty of the Dolomites on a round trip with a small bus! Departure is from Völs am Schlern at 8:00 am, from Seis am Schlern at 8:10 am and from Kastelruth at 8:20 am. The route takes you from Völs to Kastelruth through the enchanting Val Gardena, over the Sella Pass and the impressive Pordoi Pass, up to the Falzarego Pass and on to Cortina d'Ampezzo. Lake Misurina awaits you there, where we take a break of about an hour. Here you have the opportunity to dine in the restaurant or enjoy some food you have brought with you while enjoying the view of the famous "Drei Zinnen". After a relaxing break, the journey continues into the Höhlenstein Valley and the historic town of Bruneck (no Stop). Arrival in Kastelruth is planned for around 17:30. The guide will speak German and Italian, but you are welcome to join the tour to enjoy the nature and beauty of the Dolomites. The South Tyrolean Marende is traditionally eaten in the afternoon (between lunch and dinner) and consists of South Tyrolean speck, Schüttelbrot bread and a glass of wine. It is also often accompanied by a Kaminwurz and cheese. Today, the Marende is still a tradition among farmers and can also be found on the menus of mountain huts and restaurants.
