Cleaning up together for a healthy nature! For the second time, from September 19th to 22nd, South Tyrol will host four days of cleanup activities during the SÜDTIROL CleanUP Days! This large-scale cleanup effort is organized by the non-profit association Patron. The concept of the SÜDTIROL CleanUP Days is simple: numerous nature enthusiasts will independently set out alone or in small groups to collect trash in the mountains, forests, lake shores, towns, and other areas where litter has been left behind. Participants in these days will not only experience the satisfaction of making a positive impact on nature but also enjoy a unique communal outdoor experience. All participants will receive a free CleanUP Kit, which includes a trash bag and a high-quality stainless steel litter picker. This kit can be picked up at one of the many distribution points. Anna-Maria from the Kronlechnerhof farm is a farmer with passion. On her farm in Welschnofen | Nova Levante there are various animals and in summer she has a colourful garden with all types of vegetables and fruits. After a short tour of the farm we cook together various types of dumplings with the farm products. Finally, we taste together the dumplings. All participants will receive the recipes of the South Tyrolean specialities to take home. An answer to these and many other questions can be found on a extraordinary night hike with the passionate amateur astronomer and president of the "Max Valier" association Steffi Wolters. Forest hike to places of power & natural monuments with our guide Irene Eder. The bus takes us up from Welschnofen | Nova Levante to the Adler bus stop. From there we hike along path [25] to the Staldalm farm, where we are offered a picturesque view of the alpine pastures and mountain landscape of the Rosengarten | Catinaccio and Latemar. Experience over 1000 years of Tyrolean history, customs and traditions on a 1000 m² guided tour. Traditional farmhouse bread straight from the stone oven simply tastes delicious. You can experience how it is made every second Friday from mid-May to the beginning of October at the Untereggerhof. And maybe you'll be lucky and the innkeeper and farmer Gottfried will tell you the recipe. In any case, you can also try the freshly baked farmhouse bread.

The castle of Karneid stands imposingly above the Eggental Valley gorge and is the symbol of the municipality of Karneid | Cornedo. It was built around 1200 by the Lords of Greifenstein and is one of the best-preserved castles in the region, which has largely retained its late medieval appearance. Particularly impressive are - the excellently preserved ensemble of a medieval castle complex - the optimal use of the building site for the construction of defence, residential and farm buildings - the interesting rooms inside, especially the restored room in the northern, old palace wing and the rooms with partial or complete wood panelling, some of which are still in use today - the castle chapel with some well-preserved frescoes Although the castle is privately owned, it can be visited on certain dates as part of an expert guided tour. From July to October, every Friday, there is a Farmer's and Grocer's market. The farmers market offers seasonal vegetables and fruits, cheese, meat as well as homemade jams and juices. As part of the CleanUP Days, Georg Thaler, Sustainability Officer at Oberalp, will give a talk on sustainability and circular economy in mountain sports at the Hotel Passo Carezza. Given the growing popularity of mountain sports and their environmental impact, it is crucial to find sustainable solutions. The concept of circular economy plays a key role in this, aiming to use resources as efficiently as possible to minimize waste and environmental damage. Georg Thaler will present Oberalp's Net-Zero strategy and explain how the Circular Design Guide aims to help develop products with lower negative impacts on our environment while extending their lifespan. Another focus will be the "Single Use Plastics Project," which addresses the reduction and recycling of single-use plastics — an essential step toward reducing environmental impact in mountain and nature areas. Before the talk, there is the opportunity to join the Community Clean Up Hike with Patron, where litter will be collected together.

The singers of the TOTALVOCAL EGGENTAL choir warmly invite you to two concert evenings titled "Do You Know How Many Little Stars Are Standing?". In keeping with the theme, mainly songs from the rock and pop scenes, as well as mountain and folk singing, will be performed. The project manager is Armin Thomaser. Morning pint above the clouds - Welcome to South Tyrol's highest panorama lounge on the Rosengarten | Catinaccio at 2334 metres. From the Jochgrimm/Passo Oclini car park (individual arrival), the hike with hiking guide takes about 50 minutes through flowering alpine meadows and fragrant mountain pine forest up to the rocky, white summit of the Weißhorn/Corno Bianco (2313 m). At the top will be served a small South Tyrolean snack with freshly sliced bacon and cheese as well as wine and apple juice - and a box seat for the fabulous alpenglow. Which animals and plants are essential for our bees and where do they find their well-being on certain days and at certain times of the year? The bee in the meadow, the bee at the pond, the bee in the pasture and at the former forest border - special power places for our indispensable helpers are pointed out on a short hike. It is not exclusively about the honey bee - the visitor also gets an insight into the exciting and very different life of the wild bee. Wild bees are the wild relatives of the honey bee and unlike honey bees, most wild bee species do not live in larger social groups. They usually fly through life as loners. At the beekeeper's house, everyone then has the opportunity to take a closer look at the hustle and bustle in a beehive at the display honeycomb. A romantic torchlight hike awaits all hikers who enjoy walking. Meeting point with the hiking guide Simone is at the tourist office Deutschnofen. From there, participants must drive independently by car to Oberkofl Hof (5min). The hike starts there and leads past the Oberkofl Hof through a forest path to the mystical church of St. Agatha, which is located in the middle of the forest in a clearing. The path is manageable without much difference in altitude and Simone introduces the participants to the legendary history of the church and the mystical place.
