“LATEMAR – Wild Beauty” Multivision presentation by Valentin Pardeller The Latemar is a striking mountain group on the edge of the Dolomites, known for its wild beauty, unique geology, and cultural richness. In this immersive multivision presentation, Valentin Pardeller captures the essence of this remarkable region through powerful imagery. The story begins with the geological origins of the Latemar, once a coral reef, and explores the old mining tunnels that tell of a long-forgotten past. The Latemar's role as a linguistic boundary is highlighted, along with its dramatic rock formations and distinctive alpine flora. The forest of Latemar is presented as a source of fine tonewood for musical instruments. Finally, the legend of the mermaid of Lake Carezza adds a touch of mystery to this breathtaking landscape. From the Jochgrimm/Passo Oclini car park (individual arrival), the hike with hiking guide takes about 50 minutes through flowering alpine meadows and fragrant mountain pine forest up to the rocky, white summit of the Weißhorn/Corno Bianco (2313 m). At the top will be served a small South Tyrolean snack as well as wine and apple juice - and a box seat for the fabulous alpenglow. Headlamps are provided for the 30-minute descent. A romantic torchlight hike awaits you! The meeting point with Simone, who accompanies the hike, is at the tourist office in Deutschnofen | Nova Ponente. From there, you will need to drive independently to the Oberkofl farm, which takes about five minutes. The easy hike starts there and leads you past the farm along an idyllic forest path to the mystical St. Agatha Church, which lies in a clearing in the woods. The trail is easy to walk, with no major elevation changes. Along the way, Simone will share fascinating stories about the legendary church and this special place. "How did our ancestors live? A guided tour (german or italian) of the Museum Steinegg immerses you in the everyday life of past centuries. Lovingly furnished parlours, chambers and craft workshops tell of hard work, old customs and a life in the rhythm of nature. Experience over 1000 years of Tyrolean history, customs and traditions on 1000 m². Above all, the art treasures of religious and secular origin give the museum a special flavour and make it unique in South Tyrol. An animal exhibition is a source of amazement, especially for children. A new feature is the opportunity to be told directly by historical witnesses how they experienced the past. These exciting interviews can be shown on various screens. Important information: The museum opens on Palm Sunday and remains open until the end of October. The mystical labyrinth invites you to discover special stone formations, leads you up stone steps through rock gates and forces you to climb through this wonderful rocky landscape. Clean up together for a healthy nature! For four days from 18 to 21 September, the motto in South Tyrol is: Go out and collect rubbish together at the SÜDTIROL CleanUP Days! The large-scale clean-up campaign is organised by the non-profit association Patron. Eight South Tyrolean destinations are also taking part in the first edition. The idea of the SOUTH TYROL CleanUP Days is quickly explained: numerous nature enthusiasts set off independently in small groups to collect rubbish together on the mountains, in the woods, on lakeshores, in the communities, etc. - in fact, wherever rubbish has been left behind. Those who take part on these days can expect not only the wonderful feeling of having set an example for nature, but also a special kind of outdoor experience together. All participants receive a free CleanUP Kit consisting of a reusable bag and a high-quality stainless steel garbage tong. This kit can be obtained at one of the numerous distribution stations. Anna-Maria from the Kronlechnerhof farm is a farmer with passion. On her farm in Welschnofen | Nova Levante there are various animals and in summer she has a colourful garden with all types of vegetables and fruits. After a short tour of the farm we cook together various types of dumplings with the farm products. Finally, we taste together the dumplings. The Franz Gojer winery is a small family business whose history begins in the heart of the traditional St. Magdalen wine-growing area on the northern sides of Bolzano. In 2007, the family bought a second farm in Karneid in order to also offer white wine in the assortment. A large cellar was also built in Karneid, where all the production of the wines now takes place, as well as an architecturally interesting tasting room. During a wine tasting, you will learn more about the history of the Gojer family as well as their work throughout the year and taste the wines full of character, which unmistakably demonstrate their origin. The Japanese concept of ‘Shinrin-yoku’, known as forest bathing, shows that spending time in the forest has positive effects on our nervous, hormonal and immune systems. During the walk, you breathe deeply, listen to the sounds of nature and feel the energy of the trees. You can recharge your batteries and find deep relaxation at selected power spots. Georg Kirchmaier will show you how everything in the forest lives in symbiosis and help you to reconnect with nature. When the scent of freshly baked bread drifts over Obergummer, it can only mean one thing: it's baking day again at the Untereggerhof. Gottfried, the farmer and host, fires up the old stone oven and takes you on a little journey back to a time when baking bread was still pure craftsmanship – done by hand, with heart and tradition. From mid-May to early October, you can join in every second Friday to watch how flour, water and years of experience come together to form a crusty farmhouse loaf. And who knows – Gottfried might even share one or two secrets of his recipe with you. Of course, there’s also a tasting: oven-warm, fragrant and wonderfully simple – this is what South Tyrol tastes like, one bite at a time.

During the Game & Forest Culinary Weeks, which run from September 19 until October 5, you can embark on a gastronomic journey through the Eggental. We take the bus from Deutschnofen | Nova Ponente to the GEOPARC Bletterbach visitor center. There, the guided tour of the museum begins before you descend into the impressive gorge. Explore the narrow Taubenleck section and the Butterloch. We then follow the European long-distance hiking trail E5 towards Weissenstein | Pietralba, passing through the Kösertal valley (1696 m) until we reach Maria Weissenstein. For the return to Deutschnofen | Nova Ponente, you can either take the bus or walk back independently (walking time approx. 1.5 hours). The bus arrives in Deutschnofen | Nova Ponente no later than 3:15 PM.
