The restaurant “ Umser Mühlele” was new reopened in spring 2018 . It is located really quiet and idyllic at the hiking trail number 6 from Fie´ to the Castel Prösels but you can also reach it by car or by bus (number 176 ). The guests can enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Fie´ and Renon . The “ Umser Mühlele “ offers regional and delicious food for diner . Saturday and Sunday the restaurant offers also food for lunch and in the afternoon the guests enjoy homemade cakes , ice cream or the typical South Tyrolean “ Marende” .

Our traditional inn has been owned by the Baumgartner family since 1850. We have recently restored it with an eye for the detail so that it is still as cozy and welcoming as it used to be. The annexe houses several apartments for those who want to keep to themselves and enjoy their holidays independently.

Whether you are having a well-earned stop for refreshments on a day trip or a leisurely evening after a long day’s hiking, the hungry and thirsty alpinist is in the right place here.

Young chef Franz Mulser conjures up superlative dishes in a small kitchen just two and a half square metres in size at an altitude of 1930 m. The young chef’s maxim is “fresh and natural”. The hut has a maximum capacity of 25 people and, in the evenings, meals must be booked in advance. During the day, hikers and, in winter, skiers and snowboarders come here in search of refreshment. The evenings are particularly relaxing and guests can enjoy Franz’s dishes, such as hay soup with truffles or local venison.

A combination of new elements and the culinary tradition of this land of mountain farmers – based on quality produce from South Tyrol mainly sourced directly from the growers. The Almrosen hut is accessible via trail no. 7 from Compaccio/Compatsch and via the Hans-and-Paula-Steger trail, which also starts in Saltria. It is the ideal starting point for hikes to the Sciliar/Schlern mountain, the Gruppo del Catinaccio/Rosengarten, and the Sasso Lungo/Langkofel and Sasso Piatto/Plattkofel mountains.

The sports zone Wasserebene is located just outside the village center of Castelrotto, the world-famous village due to its numerous personalities. On Wasserebene you will find everything a sportsman's heart desires, from a beach volleyball court, a children's playground, an artificial turf field, which can be rented for private tournaments and events, to a soccer field on which various top clubs (e.g. Fiorentina, Hellas Verona, Al Nasr) have already held their summer training camps. But not only sportive has the Sportzone Wasserebene a lot to offer. Culinary you will be spoiled by the boss himself. The traditional asparagus season starts on the water level, you can end your summer days with a cozy barbecue in company and in the cool winter months the year finds a culinary end with the two-week fish evenings.

Hmmm, what a wonderful food fragrance touches my nose? I smell the warm sweetness of the potatoes and the spice smoked bacon. The food on our mountain hut of Mahlknechthütte is very tasty and all meals are prepared with love.

Every night you can decide on the spot whether you prefer to take the half board main meal by choosing between the "romantic menu" and "1001 calorie menu", or should you prefer, you can choose something from the ‘à la carte’ choices offered by the award-winning restaurant.

The Laurin hut with ist cosy Tyrolean room and sun terrace with a view oft the Sciliar is somewhere to really relax and enjoy. The hosts offer typical Tyrolean dishes in a comfortable atmosphere.

After a successful mountain tour or a long skiing day, you can sit down and relax on our sunny terrace with a breathtaking view of the mountain Sciliar and taste a fresh beer, a homemade "Apple-strudel" or a delicious cup of ice cream.
