Starting from the main square in Niederdorf, this peaceful winter hike follows trail no. 27 toward Maistatt. The partly paved path leads you through a picturesque winter landscape – past snowy meadows, quiet fields, and old wooden fences frosted with ice.
Along the way, you’ll enjoy refreshing mountain air and lovely views of the surrounding peaks. After passing Maistatt, the route continues on to Altschluderbach, a charming little village nestled at the foot of the Dolomites. From there, the trail winds through light woodland with glimpses of the majestic Dolomite peaks, eventually reaching the serene banks of the Rienz River.
You can return along the same trail or take a convenient train or bus back to Niederdorf.
A perfect winter outing for those who seek calm, nature, and scenic beauty in the snow-covered landscape!

This easy snowshoes excursion in San Cassiano takes you through a winter wonderland of magical beauty.
The view from the Pralongiá plateau is unique, with a 360° panorama of some of the most beautiful peaks in the Dolomites: from the Marmolada glacier to the Sella massif, from the Fanes group to the peaks on the southern edge of the Puez-Odle Nature Park, such as the Sassongher and Sass de Pütia.
The Vallunga is the entrance to the Naturepark Puez - Odle. It lasts a few km and it's in the middle of woods and mountains. The valley has a flair of quiteness and calm and everybody can enjoy it during a walk in the valley.

From Plan de Gralba (accessible by ski bus) starts the path no. 653 at the feet of the Sella group. Pass at the Chalet Gerard, where you have to cross the road, and continue along path no. 653 until you arrive at the foot of Piz Culac. Return on the same way.
The Gögealm hut (closed in winter) is a perfect destination for a snowshoe hiking excursion: a great location with a beautiful view.

Put on your snowshoes and set off for a magical adventure across the Armentara meadows covered in a soft and white blanket of snow. As soon as you take your first steps on the fresh snow, a unique panorama of the imposing Sas dla Crusc massif will sorround you. Once you reach the La Crusc hut, you can finally enjoy one of the typical Ladin dishes. We also recommend a visit to the highest little church in Europe, which is located just a few steps from the hut.

This relatively easy snowshoe hike, with little variation in altitude, goes through the Armentarola meadows in San Cassiano and is ideal for anyone looking for something a bit different for half a day.
Snow-covered meadows and fantastic views await you. You can gaze all around from the Setsas to the Col di Lana, from the Sass de Pütia to the Sassongher, from the Lavarella to the Conturines and Lagazuoi. And when, in late afternoon, the sun tinges the peaks of the Dolomites with pink or red, the natural spectacle is simply perfect.
