A festive procession of angels, drummers and musicians winds its way through the cobbled streets of the old town to the cathedral square, where the mayor and organisers welcome the guests – accompanied by brass musicians, a children's choir and the traditional cutting of the gingerbread.

The Algund Christmas Market opens its doors! On Friday, November 28th, the Algund Christmas Market is back, ready to amaze and delight visitors of all ages. The Capuchin Garden with the Sterntaler Christmas Market is already open from 10.00 a.m. on the first day of Advent - the official ceremonial opening takes place at 5.00 p.m.. A Christmas theatre performance will frame the festivities.

Nativity scene exhibition, opening at 5.30 p.m. with a blessing ceremony for the newly built nativity scenes at 6 p.m. The exhibition will then be open until 8 p.m.

The Tyrolean Advent in the Castle will be taking place in the historic ambience of Tyrol Castle. Tyrol Castle provides an atmospheric backdrop for a genuine South Tyrolean Christmas experience. Local exhibitors will present traditional handicrafts such as felting, pottery, turning, spinning, braiding, dyeing and the production of ceramics or jewelry in the castle's rooms. There will be a well-balanced program of events for visitors every day during Advent in the Castle: whilst crackling fires make for a cozy atmosphere, food stands will offer traditional dishes, baked goods and drinks. The Christmas market will also be attended by choirs and music groups, and there will also be all kinds of entertainment for children.

Authentic and Traditional – The Ritten Christmas Market. The Ritten Christmas Market enchants visitors with beautifully decorated stalls, high-quality handicrafts, atmospheric music, and local specialties. A varied programme of events and children’s activities makes a visit to the Ritten Christmas Train Market (Rittner Christbahnl) an unforgettable experience, turning the Advent and Christmas season into something truly special. The Ritten Christmas Train Market at the Oberbozen railway station, in the historic Plattner Beekeeping Museum in Wolfsgruben, and in the village centre of Klobenstein is open during Advent and Christmas time on Fridays from 2 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Ritten Railway connects the three locations every 30 minutes. On all opening days: Nativity scene exhibition at the historic Plattner Farm in Wolfsgruben. On Saturdays and Sundays: Horse-drawn carriage rides from Klobenstein station to the village centre, introductory pony riding, and llama and pony walks in Oberbozen. Born out of a desire to slow down life and rediscover the joy of creating, Mooncraft is the new format developed by franz for the Parkhotel Mondschein, offering a series of workshops on traditional crafts reinterpreted by artists, designers, and contemporary creatives from the region. From paper art to ceramics, embroidery to cooking, the Mooncraft workshops offer the opportunity to experiment and rediscover the joy of “making” with your hands. The first workshop will take place on Saturday, November 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Parkhotel Mondschein, led by Elisa Barison, curator and flower farmer. A passionate and respectful lover of the nature that surrounds her, she grows the plants and flowers she uses for her creations herself. During the workshop “L'art de la table (festive),” she will show us how to make natural decorations from plants, flowers, and fruits to adorn our tables during the holidays. Bring an apron, work gloves, decorations of your choice, and lots of enthusiasm to participate, and let Elisa's experienced hands guide you. The workshop costs €45 and includes all the materials for your creation, which you can take home with you, as well as a small snack that you can enjoy in Gese.

Krampus groups from South Tyrol compete against each other for the title of the most frightening performance of the evening. An expert jury evaluates the dynamics, show factor, stage presence, and authenticity of the eerie figures. The parade starts at 07:00 pm, and along the route hot drinks ensure that guests stay cozy even on this frosty winter night. The evening culminates with the After-Show Party – featuring lively music and cheerful celebrations lasting late into the night.
