This year, the Sterntaler Christmas Market in Lana becomes even more inviting. The enchanting backdrop of the historic Capuchin Garden contributes to the cozy atmosphere, hosting nearly 20 Christmas stalls during the Advent weekends – from November 29 to December 24, 2024. Small fir trees adorned with shiny red ornaments and the warm glow of luminous spheres surround the lovingly decorated stalls offering genuine South Tyrolean handicrafts. An engaging program for the whole family – including ponies and sheep, a glitter workshop, and a hands-on circus, all set to the sounds of festive live music – completes the experience and promises unforgettable moments of enjoyment. Please note that on December 5 and December 31, 2024, only the culinary stalls will be open.

Warm lights and colours illuminate the Christmas time in the heart of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This year La Val organises a special Advent calendar, on the facades of the houses, revealing the magic of Christmas. One by one, from 1st to 24th December at 5 p.m. the windows will be symbolically opened, illuminating a new window every evening. All the illuminated windows can be admired until 6th January. Visit the village of La Val and enjoy the lights that connect our houses in an exciting Advent calendar. The Villandro Nativity Scene Friends are creating a Nativity Scene Route in the village from the village to the parish church for the entire Advent period until the Three Wise Men. Showcases have been made in which various nativity scenes are exhibited. On Saturday, 30.11.2024 is the opening of the crib street with inauguration and a small drink in front of the school building. Every Saturday evening and every Sunday all day, the bar in the Kultursaal is served by various clubs.

JOINING PATTERNS: Stitch and leave a mark! Workshop Museion presents JOINING PATTERNS: Stitch and leave a mark!, an innovative project realized in collaboration with Patternhouse.org, and curated by Brita Köhler and Martina Drechsel. The initiative, part of the collateral program of the exhibition AMONG THE INVISIBLE JOINS Works from the Enea Righi Collection, will run from Nov. 14 to Dec. 12, 2024 at Atelierhaus Museion. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the design project methodology developed by Patternhouse.org, which supports the rehabilitation process of people with mental health issues by using embroidery as a creative tool. During the event, the participants will help make handcrafted pillows, created in part by and for users of the Casa Basaglia psychiatric rehabilitation center in Merano. The Association of Nativity Scene Friends South Tyrol District Bruneck cordially invites you to the large nativity scene exhibition in the Stoanehaus. From December 8 to 22, you can admire the impressive variety of nativity scenes every day from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Sundays are particularly atmospheric when you can enjoy the exhibition with musical accompaniment.
A special highlight is the crib trail, which takes you from the exhibition to the beautiful church crib in the church of Mühlen. This path is decorated with other nativity scenes and lanterns and invites you to linger.

The scent is that of cinnamon and spices, of mountain wood and home-made cakes, of mulled wine and festively decorated fir trees. The light is that of the wooden houses all tidy and decorated, the light coming from the Christmas tree and shining in the eyes of the children. The Merano Christmas Market provides a magical atmosphere, with daily concerts, children’s entertainment, local customs and handicrafts. There are other Christmas markets in Merano and Environs too, offering textiles, jewelry, ceramics, glass and wooden objects. Closed on 25th December.

The bells are ringing all over the year but never as lovely and comforting as during Christmas. Maybe it’s the special atmosphere or the wonderful memories that let us love the Christmastime, but also the Christmas bells spread the magic – it’s simply the happiest time of the year. Lunika's Christmas Dance Show The young talents of the Lunika Dance School will bring the magic of Christmas to the Christmas market in Algund! On Friday, December 13th, at 3:00 PM, the children's group, led by Veronika, will showcase their dancing skills and invite visitors to be enchanted by the festive atmosphere – the little dancers are truly magical! Afterward, the children will have the opportunity to join in and become part of this enchanting moment.

On December 13, Pfalzen will host its first-ever Krampus parade, promising a spectacular experience for both young and old. The terrifying figures, traditionally portrayed with intricately carved masks and impressive costumes, will march through the village streets with bells and torches.
