The church square sparkles in christmas lights, soft Christmas music and the smell of mulled wine and fresh pastries wafts through the air - on Friday, November 29th, it's finally time: the Algund Christmas Market opens its doors.

18 stalls and two food stands are eagerly waiting to sweeten your Advent season with regional crafts, hot drinks, and traditional dishes. The diverse offerings will be rounded off with musical performances, a show kitchen on Saturday evening, the large gingerbread house from the Tauber bakery, a children's program, and of course, the ever-popular ice skating rink.

From November 30, 2025, to January 6, 2026, Tramin will shine for the sixth time with Christmas splendor: the Tramin Advent Fountains invite visitors to a contemplative winter stroll through the festively decorated village. In total, 17 lovingly crafted fountains – from Rungg to Bethlehem and the village center, as well as in St. Jakob, the northern districts, and Söll – will be illuminated by local residents with festive decorations. A heartfelt thanks goes to them for their dedication and creativity. Especially by candlelight on the Advent Sundays, the historic fountains exude a special charm and invite visitors to pause, marvel, and linger.

The bells are ringing all over the year but never as lovely and comforting as during Christmas. Maybe it’s the special atmosphere or the wonderful memories that let us love the Christmastime, but also the Christmas bells spread the magic – it’s simply the happiest time of the year. Sterzing in the north of Southtyrol is surrounded by the beautiful sound of ringing bells in all its forms and sounds. The hollow and smooth sound of the church bells, or even the friendly bells of local cows and farm animals – every bell has his own importance. Christmas in Sterzing is all about joyful bells with their warming sounds.

The Merano Christmas Market provides a magical atmosphere, with daily
concerts, children’s entertainment, local customs and handicrafts. There are other Christmas markets in Merano and Environs too, offering textiles, jewelry, ceramics, glass and wooden objects. Closed on 25th December.

This is precisely why a visit to the Bruneck Christmas Market during the Advent season is an absolute must. The festive anticipation can be felt throughout the entire town. Lovingly decorated stalls invite visitors to browse through handicrafts, sweet treats, handmade decorations, and culinary delights. And with a cup of mulled wine, a winter evening can be pleasantly rounded off in good company.

The Villandro Nativity Scene Friends are creating a Nativity Scene Route in the village from the village to the parish church for the entire Advent period until the Three Wise Men. Showcases have been made in which various nativity scenes are exhibited.

During the Advent season, handmade nativity scenes built inside apple crates are displayed in various locations throughout Vadena. They were created by local associations in collaboration with the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Vadena.

Our Christmas market, the Alpine Advent Sarntal Valley, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. This year in Val Sarentino, the visitors of our Christmas street market will be enchanted by a myriad of Christmas trees. 20 wooden stands will display the traditional, handcrafted and unique products made in Val Sarentino, while the food and wine stands will offer local goodies such as sweet and airy Krapfen, Striezl (Sarentino-style fried bread) and rye bread. The Christmassy feeling will be heightened by music bands and carol singers and in addition there will be a hands-on workshop and animation shows for the children.

From 8 to 21 December, every Weekend, the Christmas wooden huts with handmade items and delicacies invite you to linger and enjoy. The live nativity scene by Heimatbühne Neumarkt will once again attract a large number of visitors and make children's eyes light up. In addition, craft workshops, fairy tale hours and carriage rides will ensure unforgettable experiences. Devotional sounds provide a festive backdrop and create a contemplative atmosphere. The magic and enchantment of the Christmas season are provided by a variety of artistic performances with breathtaking shows. All this makes ‘Christmas under the starry sky’ a very special kind of Christmas market.

During Advent, the Christmas Market takes place at Piazza San Giacomo square on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as on 8 December, featuring stalls with local handicrafts and culinary delicacies.

The snow sculpture of the Holy Family is located below the parish church of Selva di Val Gardena.
It was carved entirely out of snow by artists Ivo and his son Damian Piazza in four days, from 6 to 9 December.

The people of Mühlen ring in Advent with the Kothreinemorscht and turn Mühlen into a Kothrein village. With a cozy wooden fence in the village center, where you can get snacks from the grill, from the pan, from the stove. There are also hot and cold drinks. Open fire, cozy company. Every now and then an interlude, for example with the “Klöcklnachtsinger”, with a brick organ player, with steaming “Melchamuis”. The living nativity scene is also a must. And before Christmas, a contemplative Advent concert in the church.

We want to bring children, families and guests closer to rural culture and traditions on the topic of Christmas. The trail leads from the decorated village centre to the town hall with cookie baking for children, to the crib exhibition and to the Christmas market. Handicraft products are offered at different stalls on the playground. The Christmas experience continues along the trail lit by torchlights and candlelight with special light effects to the "Stockner Waldile" forest, where rural specialities are offered in traditional huts. Fairytales and stories for children are told around the campfire in front of a big Christmas crib and a petting zoo.

The Ritten Christmas Market enchants visitors with beautifully decorated stalls, high-quality handicrafts, atmospheric music, and local specialties. A varied programme of events and children’s activities makes a visit to the Ritten Christmas Train Market (Rittner Christbahnl) an unforgettable experience, turning the Advent and Christmas season into something truly special. The Ritten Christmas Train Market at the Oberbozen railway station, in the historic Plattner Beekeeping Museum in Wolfsgruben, and in the village centre of Klobenstein is open during Advent and Christmas time on Fridays from 2 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Ritten Railway connects the three locations every 30 minutes. On all opening days: Nativity scene exhibition at the historic Plattner Farm in Wolfsgruben. On Saturdays and Sundays: Horse-drawn carriage rides from Klobenstein station to the village centre, introductory pony riding, and llama and pony walks in Oberbozen. In Val Gardena, the valley renowned for its long-standing woodcarving tradition, the Nativity scene is one of the most cherished and lovingly maintained Christmas customs. On Christmas Eve, the Baby Jesus is placed in the simple manger, while the Three Wise Men traditionally arrive only on January 6th. At the Cultural centre “Luis Trenker” in Ortisei, an exhibition featuring over 40 hand-carved Nativity scenes from Val Gardena showcases the remarkable variety and craftsmanship of local woodcarvers.
