From the bus stop Hinteraue in Niederrasen up towards Hotel Frida am Wald and continue through the water adventure park "Wasserwaldile". Always follow the prepared path to Oberrasen. Along the road back to the church (bus stop Oberrasen church).

After the hike, the village center of Eggen offers cozy places to stop for a break. Here, hikers can either stop off at the Dorfhotel Moar am Latemar or the traditional Gasserhof.

From here, you follow the so-called Templweg. The Templweg is loved by hikers looking for a peaceful walk in contact with nature. The well-prepared path leads through quiet winter landscapes, dense forests, and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Dolomite peaks. Following the path further, you eventually reach Obereggen, a well-known winter sports resort, perfect for a well-deserved break or to continue the tour. The hike follows pleasantly walkable trails and is suitable for all experience levels.

From the parking place at the Biathlon Center > pass the Tiroler Hut > if conditions permit go on the foot path on the frozen lake.

IMPORTANT: The ice thickness is regularly checked, and the lake is only opened when it is sufficiently thick. Please check before entering whether the Lake Antholz is currently safe to walk on.

This winter hike leads from Welschnofen | Nova Levante towards the traditional Schillerhof hut. The trail starts in the village center and gradually ascends through snowy meadows and forests. Along the way, you can enjoy views of the impressive mountain landscapes of the Dolomites, including the Rosengarten | Catinaccio and Latemar.

 

There are so many highlights of the Star Village of Steinegg|Collepietra to discover on this varied & family-friendly hike, even in winter - you walk past the open-air exhibition at the Pstosser Bühl, at the Mountain Cinema near the Biohotel Steineggerhof there are great views of the mountains Schlern|Sciliar and Rosengarten|Catinaccio, the small chapel ‘Zum Weißen Bild’ is on the wayside, you can admire the earth pyramids of Steinegg|Collepietra from afar and you also pass the Rocket Tree House for children in the forest adventure zone "Öl".

You will find refreshment stops in the centre of Steinegg|Collepietra.

Winter hike with sledding possibility

From the parking place at the Biathlon Center > pass the Tiroler Hut >along the street to the restaurant Platzl am See and Enzianhütte hut > on the groomed trail up to the Staller Saddle.

A winter alpine hut hike that starts in the small holiday village of Karersee | Carezza and leads through a snow-covered fairy-tale landscape to Welschnofen | Nova Levante. Along the route, several huts invite you to take a cozy break, including the Franzin Alm hut, the Ochsenhütte hut, the Restaurant Tschein, the Frommeralm hut, and the Hagneralm hut.

This winter hike, starting from the car park next to the guesthouse Lärchenwald to the Schillerhof, begins at an altitude of 1,400 metres in the idyllic place of Obergummer|San Valentino di Sopra. The well-maintained trail leads through a serene, snow-covered landscape and reaches the Schillerhof at 1,570 meters after approximately 6 kilometers. The hike can be completed in about 3 hours and 30 minutes and offers an easy to moderate trek with gentle ascents and flat sections. Ideal for families and hikers of all ages, the trail provides stunning views of the winter mountain scenery.

Lake Carezza, famous for its breathtaking scenery, lies at the end of the route and invites you to linger.

The winter hike begins in Obereggen. From here you can either take the Ochsenweide cable car or the footpath (next to the sledging trail) up to the Epircher Laner Alm Alpine farm. Follow the meadow trail to the Mayrl Alm, Zischgalm and Ganischger Alm Alpine farms. Return via the same route.

It is well worth a visit to sample the delicious specialities of South Tyrolean cuisine (during the winter season only open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays).

On this wintry hike along a section of the Steinegg Ridgeway, you will pass through forests to beautiful viewpoints with fantastic views of the Rosengarten and Schlern mountains. After about half of the circular hike, you come to the Oberölgart alpine hut - a nice place to stop for a bite to eat and drink, even in winter. Via a tarred road with very little traffic, you come to a very idyllic chapel in the middle of the forest, the ‘Kaserer Bild’ chapel. Continue along the tarred road through the woods to the starting point.

The winter family hike from Laab hut to Neuhütt hut in Deutschnofen starts at 1,649 meters altitude at Laab hut.
