The Christmas crib, composed of handmade figures of jute, is set up each year in a different farm or place in the municipality of Terlano/Terlan. Dates: 7th December 6pm-7.30 pm 14th December 4pm-7.30pm 20th December 6pm-9.30pm 23rd December 4pm-9pm Venue: Manor house Liebeneich, Terlan The total net proceeds of the donations are devolved to the foundation "Maultasch Stern". This foundation supports families in need in our municipality.

The glow of Christmas lights illuminates the square, while the small but exquisite Christmas market invites visitors to linger. In the midst of this festive ambience, you can discover unique treasures from talented South Tyrolean artisans. We are particularly proud that exhibitors from SelberGMOCHT Südtirol are represented at the Christmas market - a platform where skilled South Tyroleans present their lovingly crafted pieces.

Locally produced products simply taste better! Fresh vegetables and fruits, eggs, spices, cheese, honey, wine, juice….and many more quality products cultivated and produced in Kaltern are being sold from 8 am to noon on the Square of the town. Come by and experience the taste of nature. All these products have been produced and are being sold by the local farmers themselves. In a matter of fact South Tyrol enjoys of a very good reputation as far as the production of quality products is concerned. Thanks to the accurate cultivation methods and the strict hygenic regulations there is no doubt that these goods are of the highest quality and of the best taste.

Relive the essence of wine! The authentic oenological and sensorial experience takes place in the newly created wing of Cantina Kurtatsch. You will learn insightful and interesting facts about the importance of the terroir, the variety of the sites and the unique wines of Cantina Kurtatsch. The number of participants is limited due to the current situation (max. 12 persons), reservation is required.

n the villages of Vilpian, Siebeneich and Terlan asparagus has been grown for centuries. Today 15 asparagus growers in Terlan plant approx. 10 ha of high quality asparagus and sell it under the trade mark and hallmark of excellence Margarete. The elegant looking and extremely mild tasting Terlan asparagus is very popular with the connoisseurs of this white spring vegetable. In April and May several restaurants invite visitors to enjoy classic and creative asparagus dishes made with the valuable Margarete asparagus. Fresh asparagus with home-cured ham, boiled potatoes and Bozner sauce is one of the classics. The meal is accompanied by the fine, mineral containing Terlano “asparagus wine” (Sauvignon) from the Terlan winery.

In German language. First discover the old and new cellars of the Terlan winery, founded in 1893, see how the wine is made and how the bottles are bottled. Afterwards you can taste: there are four Terlan wines to enjoy. Cost: € 30, € 15 with WinePass guest card. Please book at the tourist office by Thursday, midday. It is strictly forbidden to bring animals, regardless of their species, for viewing and tasting.

Guided tour through orchards and vineyards, Mr. Teutsch explains about raising methods, quality improving measures, and lot of other interesting information about South Tyrolean apples and wine. Minimum 6 persons.

Your guide leads you through several stations where she tells about winegrowing, landscape and history. On the way, at the Baron Widmann winery, in the vineyards, at the Castel Turmhof Tiefenbrunner winery and in the Cantina Cortaccia, you can taste 5 typical wines. The walk lasts 3 1/2-4 hours, about 50 minutes of which are spent actually walking.
