During a guided cellar tour, visitors can learn how grapes are transformed into wine and explore the stunningly designed cellar spaces, each with its unique color scheme.

The house’s cuvées are especially impressive, standing out for their unique diversity and the combination of exceptional grapes. The winery is located in a unique position, where the interplay of climate, soil, and the mountain ranges around Merano creates ideal conditions for viticulture. The Franz Gojer winery is a small family business whose history begins in the heart of the traditional St. Magdalen wine-growing area on the northern sides of Bolzano. In 2007, the family bought a second farm in Karneid in order to also offer white wine in the assortment. A large cellar was also built in Karneid, where all the production of the wines now takes place, as well as an architecturally interesting tasting room. During a wine tasting, you will learn more about the history of the Gojer family as well as their work throughout the year and taste the wines full of character, which unmistakably demonstrate their origin. For gourmets and connoisseurs: Every Friday, guided tour of the vineyards of the Rametz castle winery in Maia Alta/Merano with a visit to the wine museum and the historic cellar. Interesting information about wine specialities followed by a tasting of 5 wines. Shuttle service from Avelengo/Verano and back (minimum 4 participants). Only for guests from Hafling/Vöran. Photos and videos may be taken during the event for the purpose of documenting and promoting the event and the area. The recordings may be used and published on websites, social networks and in the media in compliance with data protection regulations.

History, Traditions and Wine Culture

During this personal tour with wine connoisseur and host Walter, you'll gain fascinating insights into the history and traditions of winemaking in the Burggrafenamt region. As the name suggests, this visit is an experience for all the senses, with many varied highlights to explore at the Rochelehof adventure cellar.

After visiting the vineyards, there’s a tour through the winery, where you can have a peek at the wine cellar and the wine production process.
