Julian from the Wurzer Alm in Hafling has the right spin and is happy to share his knowledge with you. Together you will prepare South Tyrolean dumplings in the traditional way. The location offers a special ambience: the Wurzer Alm, which is nestled between forest and meadows at 1,707 metres above sea level. The prepared dishes are then tasted.

In this cooking course, Elisabeth will guide you step by step through the traditional preparation of South Tyrolean dumplings. Anna-Maria from the Kronlechnerhof farm is a farmer with passion. On her farm in Welschnofen | Nova Levante there are various animals and in summer she has a colourful garden with all types of vegetables and fruits. After a short tour of the farm we cook together various types of dumplings with the farm products. Finally, we taste together the dumplings. We cycle along Lake Caldaro, passing picturesque vineyards and enjoying breathtaking views of the lake and the Dolomites. Along the way, we learn a lot about the region’s winemaking culture and stop in Tramin, one of South Tyrol’s most renowned wine villages. Highlight: The highlight of the tour is a special wine tasting with a picnic featuring regional delicacies in the vineyards of the Höfstätter winery. With intuitive painting, you dive into a free and mindful creative process – no prior experience needed. In a calm atmosphere, guided by gentle impulses, you’re invited to let go, feel, and create. It’s not about using a specific technique or creating “beautiful” paintings. You don’t need any prior knowledge – just the joy of expressing yourself creatively. From the Beauty of Calligraphy to the Beauty of Life Over the course of three mornings, this calligraphy workshop invites you to explore Chinese calligraphy as both an art form and a mindfulness practice. Guided by Pei An, you’ll learn how to work with traditional materials such as brush, ink, and rice paper, while cultivating a calm posture and conscious breathing as you begin to create your own characters on paper. As the larches turn golden yellow, the forest becomes a place of strength and stillness. Amidst this play of colors, gentle yoga exercises invite you to pause, breathe deeply, and let go. Nature and mindfulness in harmony – a moment to reconnect with yourself, gently guided by Alexandra, a yoga instructor. The session lasts about one hour. Gardener Judith loves to show them off at their finest in attractive plant pots. In this workshop, she will be showing you how to arrange natural materials and succulent plants to create a desert oasis-style landscape within a bowl. Succulent bowls make a fabulous design feature for every home. Please bring: one or two small clay or ceramic bowls with a diameter of approx. 30 cm. Additionally: Gloves and a pruning shears. The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle will supply all other materials.

A musical and theatrical work that combines live music, voices, movement, images and touch, offering young children an exciting first encounter with the language of performing arts. Inspired by Suzy Lee's illustrated book The Wave, Onde transports young audiences into a poetic world where the sea becomes a space for play, discovery and transformation. The show is the result of specific artistic and pedagogical research on early childhood, curated by the Petra Theatre Company, in collaboration with L'Albero and the Senzaspine Orchestra, as part of the European project Grow Inclusive Opera, supported by the Boarding Pass Plus programme of the Ministry of Culture.

This place of worship, located at the top of a hill, is the only one in Tyrol dedicated to Saint Verena. It was first mentioned in official documents in the 13th century. The church overlooks the northern side of the Eisack Valley, offering an extraordinary view of the Sciliar massif. Visible from afar, it stands on an ancient place of worship and the remains of prehistoric hilltop forts, which were later transformed into a Christian sanctuary

And how did this link between the ideal place for Bolzano residents to go for a bit of 'Sommerfrische', or summer cool, and the genius tourist Sigmund Freud come about? In a letter dating February 1911, he reveals to Carl Gustav Jung «Next summer. I need a place where I can be alone with a forest nearby». So, before Easter, on Friday, the 14th of April, he leaves Vienna in the company of his friend and pupil Sandor Ferenczi and makes a quick tour lasting just six days to find a suitable place around Trento and Bolzano. He returns to Vienna the following Thursday and his research produces excellent results in the form of Ritten/Renon near Bolzano. Consequently, on the 9th of July, Freud sets off from Karlsbad, where he was staying to recover from a bout of 'American colitis', and joins his family at Klobenstein. This is where the Freuds celebrate their silver wedding anniversary, on 14th September - the enjoyment of their holiday thus being enhanced by love and affection. Like around 30 other churches, monasteries, and chapels along the "Alpine Road of Romanesque Art," the round church of St. Georgen in Schenna will take part in the "Days of the Romanesque" on October 11 and 12, 2025. The church is one of the most important examples of Romanesque architecture and painting in the Alpine region and is one of only three preserved round churches in South Tyrol. Particularly impressive are the late Gothic winged altar by Hans Schnatterpeck and the 14th-century frescoes depicting scenes from the martyrdom of Saint George.
