This cooking course is all about local wild herbs. Herbs and wild herbs are collected in the garden, which are then processed into a delicious lunch together with herbalist Rosi Mangger Walder. The event will be in German.

In building a small robot, you can give free rein to your creativity! Then you can challenge the other participants in a Lego arena with your robot. In addition to building the small robot, you will also learn the principle of 3D printing.

Guided tour through the apple meadows in Postal/Burgstall (with reservation). Our farmer will guide you through their fields, explains you about the healthy ingredients, the production area and about all sorts and brands of the South Tyrolean apple. Anna-Maria from the Kronlechnerhof farm is a farmer with passion. The summer mushroom exhibition is organised by the Urania Merano in collaboration with the Bolzano branch "Mykologischen Vereins Bresadola". They expect to be able to exhibit more than 200 species of mushrooms, including some potentially deadly poisonous mushrooms, at the 13th Merano Mushroom Exhibition. This year, a mushroom inspection centre will once again be set up at the mushroom exhibition: On Saturday, visitors can bring their mushrooms to the exhibition and have them identified by an expert. Gstral, Kaseracker, Merl-Tennen – The History and stories behind Field Names around Oberbozen with Expert Johannes Ortner. Meeting point: 10 a.m. at Oberbozen train station. On this hike around Oberbozen, we will trace the origins of old Ritten field names such as Gstral, Höll, Kaseracker, and Tennen. Field names are "concise landscape formulas", reflecting the settlement and linguistic history of Ritten. However, these names also hold clues about past agricultural activities, local vegetation, and even prehistoric times. Field names often reflect how people perceived and categorized their surroundings. Ethnologist and name researcher Johannes Ortner will provide further insights into these and other local peculiarities. Registration with the tourist office by 5 p.m. the day before.

An autumnal cooking workshop all about regional cuisine with simple recipes and lots of flavour from the region - with gourmet ambassador and award-winning chef Tina Marcelli.

Gardener Judith loves to show them off at their finest in attractive plant pots. In this workshop, she will be showing you how to arrange natural materials and succulent plants to create a desert oasis-style landscape within a bowl. Succulent bowls make a fabulous design feature for every home. Please bring: one or two small clay or ceramic bowls with a diameter of approx. 30 cm. Additionally: Gloves and a pruning shears. The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle will supply all other materials.

A terrarium in a glass forms its own ecosystem and, if set up properly, is practically maintenance free and only needs to be watered once or twice a year. Step by step, under the guidance of our gardener Judith, you will be planting your own mini terrarium to take home with you. A perfect gift, and a wonderful way to express your creativity.

Like around 30 other churches, monasteries, and chapels along the "Alpine Road of Romanesque Art," the round church of St. Georgen in Schenna will take part in the "Days of the Romanesque" on October 11 and 12, 2025. The church is one of the most important examples of Romanesque architecture and painting in the Alpine region and is one of only three preserved round churches in South Tyrol. Particularly impressive are the late Gothic winged altar by Hans Schnatterpeck and the 14th-century frescoes depicting scenes from the martyrdom of Saint George. Handicraft is poetry that needs no words. Working with hands and thread means immersing oneself in a tactile creative process and establishing a connection with one’s creative soul. Slowing down, being in the moment, and experiencing meditative calm. Creating with one’s own hands fosters mindfulness, enhances creative skills, and reduces stress. In an inspiring atmosphere, we learn various knots of the macramé technique together, using only sustainably produced materials. With passion, Ingrid shares her knowledge of this rediscovered craft, providing essential insights into materials, preparation, posture, and design. Through her teaching, participants experience how healing textile craftsmanship can be. The Makramee workshop takes place in collaboration with Ingrid Bodner (Kunst in Textil). Gardener Judith will show you how to create a beautiful flower wreath using, dried flowers, grasses, fruit clusters and twigs. The gardens in fall offer a wide variety of materials for this. In addition to choosing the right color combinations, you will also learn a refined tying technique. You will make your own flower wreath and can take it home with you afterwards.

The wines in this tasting evening come from high-altitude grape varieties from wine-growing areas all over Italy.
