The night sky has fascinated humans since ancient times. With an expert eye you can discover many things about stars, planets and constellations. Julian, an astronomy enthusiast, takes us with him during this night observation taking advantage of the total darkness to admire the beauty of the universe.

From Lana, we cycle towards Gargazon through the apple orchards before taking the Moosweg uphill to Tisens. With marvellous views of the Burggrafenamt, we continue along beautiful flowing trails to Prissian, Grissian and Naraun. We have reached the highest point at Völlaner Badl and now follow a beautiful descent with various trails to Lana. 35 km - 800 m elevation gain

Looking for a day outdoors that’s both meaningful and fun? Join us on Saturday, September 20, 2025 (World CleanUP Day) for the CleanUP Hike in the Ahrntal – with time in nature, inspiring conversations, and a shared goal: leaving a positive impact.

We’ll start together in Luttach and follow the Ahr River downstream on a relaxed 6 km trail. Along the way, local guide Marco Zema will share fascinating insights into the unique nature of South Tyrol and the river’s ecosystem. There's time for connection, reflection, and of course – collecting litter along the route.

Our destination is the beautifully located Goasroscht in Sand in Taufers, where we’ll wind down with a small snack (thanks to the Zukunft Ahrntal Consortium) and come together for the CleanUP Workshop by PATRON. We'll take a closer look at what we collected and discuss what each of us can do – and why it matters to take action. We’ll then screen Treelude – an experimental short film exploring the connection between people and nature, filmed right here in the Ahrntal. Its soundtrack is composed entirely of natural sounds recorded on location. The film was created by athlete and nature photographer/filmmaker Lukas Schäfer, directed by Marco Zingaretti, and initiated by Linda Schwarz, Executive Producer of POW Italy. Produced by Soul Film Production in collaboration with OL Music Studio.

One of the notable depictions is that of Saint Christopher carrying Christ on his shoulders. The church stands majestically above the Eisack Valley, almost directly above the Eisack Gorge. It is visible from afar and is built on a site that once hosted prehistoric places of worship or settlements, which were later transformed into a Christian sanctuary

An exciting afternoon full of play and movement awaits you! On the bike course with roundabout and real traffic light, you can ride your own bikes, scooters, or try out the fun trikes provided by the VKE play bus. There will also be giant board games and skill games for young and old, plus a special highlight: a giant roller slide. The bike guides of the Bike Academy Lana will offer cycling technique courses every hour from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, teaching children and adults how to ride safely – of course on the bike course with traffic light. Snacks and drinks will be provided by VKE, including sausages, cakes, popcorn, and beverages. ATTENTION: In case of rain, the event will be cancelled! The road from the campsite in Tesimo to the vocational school will remain closed to traffic for the entire duration of the event!
