To find out what has remained of this tradition, what winegrowing in the abbey’s vineyards involves today and the philosophy on which it is based, come on a vineyard tour. We’ll not only tell you all about Neustift winegrowing but also serve you its products. The tour of the vineyards together with the following wine tasting takes about 90 minutes in all. And lasts for longer. Participation in the vineyard tour is only possible with prior registration. The combined guided tours of the entire museum and the cathedral complex (cathedral, cloister and baptistery) take place alternately in German and Italian from Tuesday to Friday (except on public holidays). Tuesdays and Thursdays: in German at 3 p.m. Wednesday and Friday in Italian at 3 p.m. Duration: approx. 1.5 hours Price: € 5,- p.p. (excluding museum entrance)

What do they mean to tell us? Art lover and expert Kainz Heinrich, tells you many interesting things about these paintings and his phrases. The event is only in german and italian language.

In this cooking course, Elisabeth will guide you step by step through the traditional preparation of South Tyrolean dumplings. Afterwards, you will enjoy the freshly prepared delicacies together over a convivial lunch. To ensure your dumplings turn out perfectly at home, you’ll also receive the recipes and expert tips from Elisabeth to take with you. We invite you to learn how to prepare a signature South Tyrolean specialty – an experience not to be missed! Customers can find clothing and footwear at the weekly market. The market takes place on the village square, right next to the church of Nova Ponente/Deutschnofen and is easy to reach. In case of bad weather the weekly market could be cancelled!

Via Bozen-Trient–Verona (short stay at a motorway station), we drive along the motorway to Padua and Venice. Arrival at around 10 a.m. By boat, we make our way to Saint Mark’s square in the centre of Venice. The city is built on 118 islands and offers many palaces and churches, romantic water ways and bridges, which bear witness to the former glory of the town. We stay in Venice for approx. 5 hours and return back via the Val Sugana to Trient and from there to Bozen and Schenna.

Guided tour of the Niederlana parish church with the Schnatterpeck altar. A first church was built on this site in the early Middle Ages on Roman foundations. In 1492, the present late Gothic wall pillar church was consecrated. Josef Weingartner counts it among the "most beautiful Gothic churches in the country" in his "Art Monuments of South Tyrol". The Gothic winged altar from the workshop of Hans Schnattpereck is a work of art that is known far beyond the borders of the province.

Forty years after the death of two great figures of world culture, Italo Calvino and Marc Chagall, the Italian Association of Artists of Trento | Bolzano FIDA and the ASSB - Associazione Scrittrici e Scrittori di Bolzano are commemorating the two outstanding artists with an event at the Bolzano City Gallery. The wide-ranging cultural event will showcase works by twenty-nine artists from the Trentino-Alto Adige region as well as writings by the thirteen writers who are members of the ASSB Bolzano. These are free and personal interpretations and inspirations, a tribute to the two unforgotten personalities who are of immeasurable importance in art and literature. The artists and writers explore their significant legacy in order to create a moment of wonder in today's culture - a reflection of a past that is still alive. ‘The Emotions of Artists’ is the title of this ambitious project, which revolves around the deep emotionality masterfully concealed in the paintings and writings of the two great authors. As in the light, fleeting poetry that is always palpable in their imaginative works.

n the villages of Vilpian, Siebeneich and Terlan asparagus has been grown for centuries. Today 15 asparagus growers in Terlan plant approx. 10 ha of high quality asparagus and sell it under the trade mark and hallmark of excellence Margarete. The elegant looking and extremely mild tasting Terlan asparagus is very popular with the connoisseurs of this white spring vegetable. In April and May several restaurants invite visitors to enjoy classic and creative asparagus dishes made with the valuable Margarete asparagus. Fresh asparagus with home-cured ham, boiled potatoes and Bozner sauce is one of the classics. The meal is accompanied by the fine, mineral containing Terlano “asparagus wine” (Sauvignon) from the Terlan winery.

With Exposure Time, the association 00A - Centre for Contemporary Photography presents the second edition of contemporary photography on billboards in the public space of Merano. Exposure Time is more than just a title, it is an open field of questions: How much time do we give to seeing? How much light can memory take? When does visibility begin, and when does it become an imposition? 15 artists explore one of the central elements of photography: exposure time, the interplay of light and time. Their works, spread across 27 large-format billboards in the public space of Merano, form a polyphonic visual essay on light as a medium of perception, as a carrier of memory, as a catalyst for social reflection. The exhibition Imaginarium, is a fascinating and provocative journey into the heart of contemporary photography, where imagination has no limits and technology becomes a boundless tool for creation. Here, traditional photography is transformed, evolved and reinvented, resulting in works that go beyond simple visual representation to explore new artistic dimensions. Through the integration of artificial intelligence and digital manipulation, artists do not simply capture the world, but deconstruct and reconstruct it, creating parallel universes that challenge our perception of reality.

The special exhibition “Die Hutterer. A Search for Traces in Klausen” is accompanied by the collaborative UNIKA exhibition under the Ladin title “PESC” (meaning PEACE) – an ideal that connects both exhibitions at the Civic Museum Klausen. They are part of the initiatives for the Euregio Museums Year 2025 “weiter sehen,” which, in memory of the Peasants’ War of 1525, addresses contemporary themes. The Hutterites A Search for Traces in Klausen The nearly 500-year history of the Hutterites, who were expelled from Tyrol in the 16th century, is that of a minority that was marginalized and persecuted due to their religious beliefs and communal organization. However, their story is also one of plurality and openness to foreign ideas. The teachings of the Anabaptists found great support in Tyrol, including in Klausen. One of the most significant preachers and religious leaders of the Hutterites, Peter Walpot, was a native of Klausen. At the same time, the Hutterites were subjected to relentless persecution, as evidenced by well-documented cases from Klausen. Jakob Huter, born near St. Lorenzen, took on the leadership of the Anabaptists in Tyrol at an early stage and organized their communal life. In the 16th century, the Anabaptists moved to tolerant Moravia, marking a period of prosperity. From the 17th century onward, they were forced to migrate further until they eventually reached North America. Here, despite facing some crises, they managed to preserve their faith and a well-functioning community to this day.
