Every year after the village festival in St. Jacob, on Monday the market "Segra Sacun" will be held in the pedestrian area of Ortisei. The “Segra Sacun” market is the largest market of the year, which is filled with numerous stands that offer culinary delights and craft products. According to an ancient tradition, girls and women, on the occasion of this day, will be gifted with decorated pears as a sign of sympathy and love.

ONLY IN GERMAN! From the beginning of October, at the end of the grape harvest, until the beginning of the pre-Christmas season is "Törggelezeit". After leisurely walks through the golden autumn landscape, guests and South Tyroleans enjoy the products of the harvest, especially chestnuts and new wine (Sußer). On this week's hike we visit the Bachlerhof. We take the bus from the village centre of Schenna up to the Pichler restaurant and then hike through the Vallplatz forest to the Bachlerhof farm and after a stop for refreshments we continue to Verdins. From the starting point you are free to decide whether to return on foot or by bus. A Törggelemenü and hearty music are of course not to be missed! Start your day with an unforgettable experience! On the sunrise hike to the Flecknerspitze (2,336 m), you'll experience pure goosebump moments. As the first rays of sunlight bathe the mountains in warm light and you feel the peacefulness of nature, the early wake-up call and the climb are quickly forgotten. Together, we'll hike to the summit in the early morning hours and enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view. After this special nature experience, we'll round off the tour with a delicious breakfast at a cozy alpine hut. The Gollimarkt is a traditional market that takes place on October 16 (St. Gallus' Day) in the center of Mals. The Gollimarkt was established together with the Georgimarkt in 1642 on the occasion of the elevation of the village to a market town by Archduchess Claudia de' Medici. This year the colorful autumn market offers farm products, handicrafts and art!

Local Wines, Fine Delicacies, and Lively Music: In autumn, Tramin Wine Lane is all about seasonal delights and sociable gatherings. With the traditional Tramin Wine Lane, the people of Tramin celebrate the golden autumn and its treasures each year. On Saturday, October 18, 2025, visitors from near and far will once again flock to the festively decorated village lane, where all sorts of culinary delights from kitchen and cellar await tasting. Here’s how it works: After paying a €5 deposit, you’ll receive a beautiful glass bearing the Tramin coat of arms. With it, you can sample the finest wines from Tramin’s wineries at the various stands. The prices for individual wines are displayed at each stand. The celebrations of the "Wine Alleyway", in the heart of the historic centre of Termeno which is open only to pedestrians, is an appointment not to be missed: the best Traminer wines will be offered in cups made for this very occasion along with special South Tyrolean delicacies in an atmosphere of music and folklore.

First held in 1886, the Merano Grape Festival delights with intriguing performances, delicious South Tyrolean food and a wide range of concerts (including some fairly experimental ones). Traditional folk music, chestnut market, rural dishes and chestnut specialities await visitors in the village centre of Völlan. Visit to the Völlan Farmers' Museum with traditional baking demonstrations and a presentation of local crafts. Guided tours with the foresters at 2.00 pm on the South Tyrolean chestnut adventure trail. Free shuttle service from 9.30-18.00 from Lana to Völlan and from Tisens to Völlan.

Experience the autumnal tradition of South Tyrol at the popular Törggelen Festival in St. Oswald! Enjoy traditional dishes, exquisite wines and live music. From 11 a.m. you will be served typical Törggelen specialties by the St. Oswald fire brigade. Various music groups play from 11:30 am.

The "Welsberger Kirta" starts with the festive parade of the Music village band of Monguelfo at 10:45 am. through the Village center. A request concert follows on the Piazza Centrale, where visitors can enjoy their favorite music. Food and drink are well catered for, with Tyrolean specialties, drinks and Kirtakrapfen. This event promises not only musical delights, but also a convivial get-together in a festive atmosphere.

20th October from 9 am to 5 pm The Organic Festival will take place on the open air festival area Algund. The South Tyrolean Health Promotion Association and the Union of Alternative Farmers. Organic products (fruit, vegetables, herbs, infusions, wine, juices, bread, etc.), wholemeal dishes and entertainment for adults and children await you. In addition to a large offer of organic products, there will also be lectures with various speakers.

The music bands of Eppan vitalize their audience with a diverse repertoire in the historic walls and courtyards. The visitors walk through palaces, castles and residences and experience on this simple walking route a pleasant mix of autumnal atmosphere, history and music.

Keschtnriggl - Chestnut days. The Chestnut Weeks and the Törggelen in Merano and Environs have been a South Tyrolean Tradition for years. Chestnut days in Tesimo/Tisens - Prissiano/Prissian, Foiana/Völlan and Lana gets ist Name from the "Keschtnriggl" - a hand-braided basket for Peeling roast chestnuts. For three weeks, a colourful Event Programme is put on for visitors: Chestnut walks, torchlight processions from castle to castle and the "Keschtnfestl" feast in Foiana, with Music, farmers market, chestnut delicates and traditional crafts. The aromatic fruit with ist spiky Shell, grows particularly well in Merano and Environs, and during this green Event has pride of place in the specialities of traditional inns and prestigious Restaurants, as well as in exquisite chestnut products such as sweet chestnut hearts, aromatic chestnut beer, hearty chestnut stollen, tasty chestnut spraed, luxuriant chestnut cake, fluffy chestnut bread, the excellent chestnut panettone as well as the noble chestnut praline.

During the Chestnut Days "KESCHTNRIGGL", everything revolves around the "Tisner Kescht" (Chestnut of Tesimo). During the Chestnut Days, menus in selected restaurants feature specially created chestnut dishes. The chestnut is the protagonist of numerous events during the Chestnut Days KESCHTNRIGGL.

Naturno has made a name for itself as a market town in recent years; the much-visited and popular weekly market on Saturdays has become indispensable for locals and holidaymakers alike, and attracts many visitors to the village. The "Kirchtigmarkt" is one of the three annual markets where up to 55 stallholders offer their goods.

South Tyrol's winegrowers are known as unconventional thinkers who boldly took new and creative paths

and thus built up one of the best winegrowing regions in Italy.

During a guided tour of the Wezl private distillery, Jochen explains the creation of grappa and the important role played by the grape. Both the grappa and the accompanying wine will be tasted. Because wine and grappa harmonize excellently with chocolate, this sweet seduction is served for tasting. The event will be in German.

Every farmer’s wife has her culinary secrets! At the farmer’s kitchen on the Raiffeisenplatz market square, Scena's farmers’ wives offer authentic traditional and tasty specialities. "Törggelen" is a popular autumn custom for enjoying harvest fruits like chestnuts, apples and grapes. Ham and cheese, young wine and local dishes, all taste so much better when enjoyed in company and good music!

The wines in this tasting evening come from high-altitude grape varieties from wine-growing areas all over Italy. We discover different terroirs and wine potential, from which grapes have been cultivated at the highest altitudes in extraordinary climatic zones. An unforgettable experience for all wine lovers. New Wines with Old Roots “New Val Venosta wines” as fine-structured mountain wines from Colsano. Thomas Plack was precisely nineteen years old when he took over the estate in Colsano at the foot of Monte Mezzodì in the Val Venosta in 1989. Today, in addition to five hectares of fruit orchards, he also manages three hectares of vineyards upon which, as Plack himself says, “new Val Venosta wines” are created. Every Wednesday between 8.30 am to 12.30 am, the pedestrian zone and Peter-Glückh-Platz in Malles/Mals bustle with activity. Fresh local produce, such as fruit, berries and vegetables, cheeses, bacon and bread types, jam, vinegar, juices and herbal teas, are always available for sale at the market. There are also craft and handicraft products made of stone, wood or felt for sale, as well as textiles, leather goods, plants, and equipment of all kinds for house and garden. From June to September, the market is held together with the farmers' market in the pedestrian zone, where producers from the area offer bacon and cheese, fruit and vegetables. The surrounding guesthouses and restaurants offer special dishes to the respective market focus.
