Since its founding in 1900, the "Posaunenchor" has shaped the musical identity of the Evangelical Parish of Hilgen-Neuenhaus in Wermelskirchen, located in the heart of the Bergisches Land. The name "Trombone Choir" is somewhat misleading, as the approximately 40 musicians of various age groups have always performed in a symphonic wind orchestra formation – including woodwinds, brass instruments, and percussion. Originally founded to accompany church services musically, the orchestra continues to make a significant contribution to the cultural life of the parish. Today, the musicians are particularly known for performing entertaining wind music at concerts, events, and public occasions. Since 2003, the concert series "Swing & More" has thrilled audiences with its unique blend of vocals, big band, and orchestral sound. Under this title, the group has performed numerous times – not only within their hometown of Wermelskirchen but also abroad in European countries such as the Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, and Kosovo, as well as on two concert tours in Brazil. A rhythm section with guitar, piano, and bass has since become a permanent part of the ensemble. At concerts, the orchestra is often joined by various vocal soloists, resulting in a versatile sound body that allows for a wide musical range – from traditional wind music to big band jazz, rock, and pop. In 1982, Peter Rinne – a well-known and multifaceted musician, composer, and trained conductor in the Bergisches Land – took over the musical direction. Since 1999, Patrick Mühlhausen has been providing custom musical arrangements tailored to the ensemble. The concert repertoire is continuously expanded with new pieces and is very popular with audiences.

Enjoy a relaxing summer evening in the show garden at the Farm Botenhof in the Pflersch Valley, right in the heart of the Wipptal Herb Gardens. With a refreshing aperitif in hand, you can discover the healing world of local alpine plants in a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. Apple growing takes centre stage at the family-run Schrenteweinhof in Lana. Farmer Patrizia tells you exciting stories and many interesting details about her favourite fruit. She is one of the 63 farm women service providers under the brand "South Tyrolean farm women. From our hands". Patrizia will introduce you to the different apple varieties and you will learn a lot about apple growing. In between, you can also take a bite of a juicy fruit! "Jufa" is a typical dish from the Val Gardena, a sort of very filling milk pudding. The crust of the pot gives it an unmistakable taste. Traditionally it is a dish to share in company, enjoying it directly by spoonfuls from the pot.
