As the sun sets on the horizon, casting a breathtaking play of colors across the sky and the Dolomite mountains, a culinary experience of the highest class begins: The Chef's Open Air – Sunset Edition in the Eggental Valley. 6 Eggen Valley gourmet chefs, 4 old wood-fired ovens, 1 legendary mountain backdrop: the main ingredients for the Chefs’ Open Air as part of Eggental Valley’s Culturinarika. The herbal experts invite you to exciting workshops at the farmers' market in Welschnofen. Every week, new topics await you – from the healing power of herbs and natural remedies to creative uses in the kitchen. Whether you're interested in medicinal herbs, traditional herbal medicine, or culinary wild herbs, you'll find the right topic for you. In this workshop with herbal expert Sieglinde, you’ll learn which wild herbs are particularly well-suited for making an aromatic pesto and what valuable properties they have. Together, we'll process the fresh herbs into a delicious wild herb pesto, which we’ll then taste in a convivial atmosphere. As a small souvenir, you can take home your homemade pesto. Apple growing takes centre stage at the family-run Schrenteweinhof in Lana. Farmer Patrizia tells you exciting stories and many interesting details about her favourite fruit. She is one of the 63 farm women service providers under the brand "South Tyrolean farm women. From our hands". Patrizia will introduce you to the different apple varieties and you will learn a lot about apple growing. In between, you can also take a bite of a juicy fruit! A gourmet menu with a panoramic view! The Berglertafel mountaineers’ dinner is a five-course menu of typical dishes from Tiers served in a stunning setting. The venue is Proa, a mountain pasture with a view of the Rosengarten. There is arguably no other vantage point in Tiers am Rosengarten from where you can see the famous alpenglow of King Laurin’s famous kingdom ... and all this while enjoying a fabulous gourmet menu. The table is more than a 100 metre long and can seat 170 gourmets who – in the form of a row – can enjoy a fabulous meal and, at the same time, this unique view of the Rosengarten.
