The 28th stage of the 9th edition of International Street Food 2025, the most important street food event in Italy, will be held in Merano, in Viale Europa - Station Park, from Thursday 1 May to Sunday 4 May 2025, from 12 noon to midnight. n the villages of Vilpian, Siebeneich and Terlan asparagus has been grown for centuries. Today 15 asparagus growers in Terlan plant approx. 10 ha of high quality asparagus and sell it under the trade mark and hallmark of excellence Margarete. The elegant looking and extremely mild tasting Terlan asparagus is very popular with the connoisseurs of this white spring vegetable. In April and May several restaurants invite visitors to enjoy classic and creative asparagus dishes made with the valuable Margarete asparagus. Fresh asparagus with home-cured ham, boiled potatoes and Bozner sauce is one of the classics. The meal is accompanied by the fine, mineral containing Terlano “asparagus wine” (Sauvignon) from the Terlan winery.

Day and night dedicated to Pinot Noir! Viticulture has been rooted in South Tyrol for thousands of years. Vineyards are part of the landscape, culture and everyday life. On the sun-drenched slopes and along the South Tyrolean Wine Road, wonderful wines grow. In the area around Castelfeder, one grape variety finds particularly favourable conditions and probably also its best possible expression: the Pinot Noir. From April to the beginning of November, young winemaker Lukas from the Hillepranterhof invites you to enjoy his exquisite wines every Thursday at 5:30 pm. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of viticulture on a guided tour of the vineyard and cellar. On request, you can also be served a platter of regional specialties. Winegrowing has been a tradition at the Hillepranterhof for generations. Since 2021, winemaker Lukas has been processing the grapes directly on the estate and marketing his wines independently. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Vernatsch and Pinot Noir grow on the slopes of the vineyard. The Pinot Noir is a real highlight and embodies the unique character of the terroir. Things are “young and dynamic” at the Hillepranterhof - the Kapfinger family looks forward to your visit! The event takes place in German.

The hike takes you along the Riffianer Waalweg with a magnificent view to Kuens/Caines to the Hilber Mühle, the largest mill in the Passeiertal Valley. Here, Adolf provides interesting information and stories about the mill. The tour then continues to the Pillinghof farm in Kuens, where you can taste home-baked bread and various herb butters and gain an insight into how these products are made. Every Friday, from the beginning of April to mid-October, farmers from the Sterzing area offer their local quality products at the farmers' market. At the market in the town square of Sterzing, people meet for the weekly purchase of local South Tyrolean products or for a "glass of wine". The varied offer ranges from traditional bacon and “Kaminwurzen” , fresh and smoked trout, cheese and yogurt specialties, homemade bread, organic wines, herbs, honey, eggs to homemade juices and fresh vegetables. Locals and guests have appreciated the market for over a decade now. Tip: Do not miss the delicious “Krapfen and Tirtler” of the Wipptaler farmers' wives!
