The Margreid Lantern Advent invites you to enjoy the pre-Christmas season in an atmospheric setting. Mulled wine stands, an idyllic Christmas forest and lovingly designed lanterns decorating the streets and houses give Margreid a special Christmas glow.
A highlight is the Krampus run on 5 December, accompanied by St. Nicholas, who gives gifts to the children. Musical performances, Advent stories and culinary delights create a festive atmosphere for young and old alike.
On 23 December, the traditional charity mulled wine stand invites you to enjoy music and community spirit – and the most beautiful lantern decoration of the year is also awarded a prize.

The bells are ringing all over the year but never as lovely and comforting as during Christmas. Maybe it’s the special atmosphere or the wonderful memories that let us love the Christmastime, but also the Christmas bells spread the magic – it’s simply the happiest time of the year. Sterzing in the north of Southtyrol is surrounded by the beautiful sound of ringing bells in all its forms and sounds. The hollow and smooth sound of the church bells, or even the friendly bells of local cows and farm animals – every bell has his own importance. Christmas in Sterzing is all about joyful bells with their warming sounds.

Seis am Schlern is getting ready for a magical Advent and Christmas season!

In addition to the ice rink in the village square with skate rentals, there will be fascinating magic and fire shows, great live bands, contemplative Advent concerts, and atmospheric Christmas stories, providing a varied program. A winter experience for young and old alike!

During the culinary winter-weeks "The Alpine Table", numerous mountain huts across the holiday area Gitschberg Jochtal invite you to experience alpine cuisine at its most authentic. From 14–21 December 2025 and 15–22 March 2026, participating huts serve special dishes prepared exclusively with regional ingredients and offered outside the regular menu. Each hut interprets local products in its own unique way, creating unforgettable moments of culinary enjoyment in the heart of the winter paradise. A culinary experience that harmoniously combines tradition, regionality, and the cozy atmosphere of winter mountain huts.

Every Monday from beginning of March to Mid-December, immerse yourself in the world of liqueurs and enjoy a unique tasting experience at Bruggerhof in Marling. Markus will take you on a culinary journey where you can discover the distinctive and high-quality liqueurs crafted at Bruggerhof.
First mentioned in writing in 1579, the estate is steeped in history and tradition. What began as a hobby has been perfected by Markus over more than 25 years of passionate work. Supported by his son Elias, who brings expertise in cellar management and product processing, the Bruggerhof produces natural liqueurs that captivate with their unmistakable flavors.

The tasting takes place in the former cattle stable, which has been transformed into a cozy tasting room. In this unique atmosphere, enjoy a variety of creations that reflect the passion and dedication of the Gamper family.

The weapons for Castle Karneid|Cornedo were once forged here. Today, wines of strong character are produced here. And they play by the rules of nature. You can find out more secrets about the Pitzner winery and the special philosophy of the two young winemakers during a wine tasting in the new vinotheque and learn exciting facts about the process from grape to fine wine. This short wine journey will take you from juicy white wines to full-bodied reds. Wine tastings are possible during the opening hours of the Enothek from Monday to Friday (except public holidays) between 9 am and 12 noon and between 2 pm and 6 pm. Fresh vegetables and fruits, eggs, spices, cheese, honey, wine, juice….and many more quality products cultivated and produced in Kaltern are being sold from 8 am to noon on the Square of the town. Come by and experience the taste of nature.
All these products have been produced and are being sold by the local farmers themselves.
In a matter of fact South Tyrol enjoys of a very good reputation as far as the production of quality products is concerned. Thanks to the accurate cultivation methods and the strict hygenic regulations there is no doubt that these goods are of the highest quality and of the best taste.

Since its opening, the ice rink in the centre of Schenna has enjoyed great popularity. Anyone who wants to take to the ice is in exactly the right place in Schenna. The 12x30 metre artificial ice rink offers locals and guests the chance to do their laps on the shiny surface right in the village centre. Skates and helmets can be rented. A food stall offers warming drinks and snacks. Opening hours: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM The food stall remains open until 8:00 PM Closed on Tuesdays - except from 24.12. to 06.01.
