The Margreid Lantern Advent invites you to enjoy the pre-Christmas season in an atmospheric setting. Mulled wine stands, an idyllic Christmas forest and lovingly designed lanterns decorating the streets and houses give Margreid a special Christmas glow.
A highlight is the Krampus run on 5 December, accompanied by St. Nicholas, who gives gifts to the children. Musical performances, Advent stories and culinary delights create a festive atmosphere for young and old alike.
On 23 December, the traditional charity mulled wine stand invites you to enjoy music and community spirit – and the most beautiful lantern decoration of the year is also awarded a prize.

Fresh vegetables and fruits, eggs, spices, cheese, honey, wine, juice….and many more quality products cultivated and produced in Kaltern are being sold from 8 am to noon on the Square of the town. Come by and experience the taste of nature.
All these products have been produced and are being sold by the local farmers themselves.
In a matter of fact South Tyrol enjoys of a very good reputation as far as the production of quality products is concerned. Thanks to the accurate cultivation methods and the strict hygenic regulations there is no doubt that these goods are of the highest quality and of the best taste.

The bells are ringing all over the year but never as lovely and comforting as during Christmas. Maybe it’s the special atmosphere or the wonderful memories that let us love the Christmastime, but also the Christmas bells spread the magic – it’s simply the happiest time of the year. Sterzing in the north of Southtyrol is surrounded by the beautiful sound of ringing bells in all its forms and sounds. The hollow and smooth sound of the church bells, or even the friendly bells of local cows and farm animals – every bell has his own importance. Christmas in Sterzing is all about joyful bells with their warming sounds.

Oak, glass and breathtaking views: The Cantina Merano Winery is a must-visit for anyone who loves architecture, design and wine. During a guided cellar tour, visitors can learn how grapes are transformed into wine and explore the stunningly designed cellar spaces, each with its unique color scheme.

Cellar tour & sparkling wine and wine tasting: all year round from March 12 to December 19, 2025 every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 3 p.m., in German (excluding holidays). Advance booking required.

Every Wednesday between 8.30 am to 12.30 am, the pedestrian zone and Peter-Glückh-Platz in Malles/Mals bustle with activity. Fresh local produce, such as fruit, berries and vegetables, cheeses, bacon and bread types, jam, vinegar, juices and herbal teas, are always available for sale at the market. There are also craft and handicraft products made of stone, wood or felt for sale, as well as textiles, leather goods, plants, and equipment of all kinds for house and garden. From June to September, the market is held together with the farmers' market in the pedestrian zone, where producers from the area offer bacon and cheese, fruit and vegetables. The surrounding guesthouses and restaurants offer special dishes to the respective market focus.

Since its opening, the ice rink in the centre of Schenna has enjoyed great popularity. Anyone who wants to take to the ice is in exactly the right place in Schenna. The 12x30 metre artificial ice rink offers locals and guests the chance to do their laps on the shiny surface right in the village centre. Skates and helmets can be rented. A food stall offers warming drinks and snacks. Opening hours: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM The food stall remains open until 8:00 PM Closed on Tuesdays - except from 24.12. to 06.01.

Fragrant flowers and medicinal plants are organically grown in our ‘Wipptal herb gardens’ in Pflersch and Wiesen, and wild-harvested in the mountains. We refine these botanical treasures into soothing teas, fine schnapps, syrups and high-quality care products. We cordially invite you to sample and taste our specialities. Local and seasonal, straight from the producer. Farmers from the surrounding area bring their own farm produce to the Brixen old town centre. Depending on the season, fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, eggs, flowers, honey, homemade jams and pasta sauces, refined distillates and organically grown herbs as well as wooden handicrafts are offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays. From April to October, local associations prepare fresh tirtln (fried stuffed pastry) on site on a weekly basis. This means that every Saturday is also a culinary experience. This market has been a popular, lively meeting place for locals and guests for 30 years.

The Plonerhof winery in Marling invites you to an exclusive wine tasting and cellar tour every Thursday at 3:00 PM, year-round (except during harvest). Experience how passion and expertise create exceptional wines. During the tour, you will learn interesting details about viticulture and wine production. In the cellar, the secrets of winemaking will be revealed. Finally, the wine tasting completes this unique experience. At the Plonerhof winery, a variety of wines are produced on steep vineyard rows with inclines of up to 40%.
