A little above the main village of St. Michael | Eppan, the little Gleif Church, which perches atop Kalvarienberg, immediately catches the eye. The view is surprisingly expansive and the church stands on one of the most beautiful glacially polished rocks in the Bozen area.
The hike along the Via Crucis leads along religious stations from Stilves villages through the shadows of the forest to Bad Moeders, an old mineral spring with an adjacent chapel. The tranquility of the forest along the trail leads to a profound contemplation.
The trail leads from the Val di Vizze high valley through the Droßberg-mountain valley along the old military road upwards in the Fundres mountains. By the Sandjoch jag is waiting a panoramic view on the surrounding summits like Wilde Kreuzspitze summit and Grabspitze summit. Route: Start by the Fußendraß hamlet in direction Droßbergalm on the trail 17, passing throug the Droßberg valley and after the mountain hut on trail 17 up to the Sandjoch joke (2651m) and through the pastures to the Brixnerhütte mountain hut (2282m). Lunch possibilities: Brixner Hütte.
A pleasant walk to relax and simply enjoy life in a quite area on Seiser Alm. This route offers a breathtaking view of the Schlern/Sciliar mountain, almost within hand’s reach from the Spitzbühl, and leads onwards over endless alpine meadows back to the starting point.

Excursion to the Plantapatsch Alpine Hut with a beautiful view to the valley and the mountains around
From the parking lot at the Watles family ski area’s valley station (1750 m),
follow the trail signs (ca. 200 m) in the direction Höfer group Prämajur
(food service), on the well-marked hiking trail through the wintery larch and
pine forest up to the Höfer hut (2010 m, refreshments). On to the
Plantapatsch Alpine Hut (refreshments). The way home follows the same
trail back to the starting point.
Easy hike along the romantic Stream Path valley of Prissiano and on to the picturesque Wehrburg castle.
Challenging hike from Vilpian to Schlaneid.
You hike past several farms, cross the suspension bridge over the Mölten stream and continue hiking to the Schlaneid mountain station. Enjoy the view over the Etschtal valley.
Just an easy, relatively flat walk away from the Verdins-Talle cable car mountain station lies the mountain village of Prenn. With its idyllic little church and an amazing view over the Val Passiria, Prenn is well worth a visit. The area is particularly suitable for those who like shorter hiking trails and our younger guests. Prenn also has numerous opportunities for that well-deserved pit stop so you can keep your body rested and refuelled.
The trail starts by the mountain station and goes in direction Edelweißhütte mountain hut. Just before the hut tunr left on the steep trail (34) and along the scree upwards to the Lotterscharte joke (2258m). Afterwards moderate descend to the Vallming alpine village. Return to the starting point along the Dolomieu trail.
From the parking area at the chair lift station Tarres on steep paths to the wonderful Lake Tarres.
A short walk to the district of Sauders and back. We start from the centre of Villanders and take the path of the chestnuts "Keschtnweg" to Sauders. There it is worthwhile to visit the little baroque church of Saint Moritz. We wander back to the village on the Kirchsteig.

Hike along the educational trail in the wonderful Ridnauntal valley. Starting from the culture house in Ridnaun along a beautiful and wide forest path, which leads through the forest towards Maiern to the Mining World Museum. Then cross the main street and walk along the not marked path in direction to Gasse. There you can already see the miner’s chapel St. Magdalena, that is situated on a small hill above the path and can be visited. Continue on the same path, which leads you back to the starting point.
Above Tarres you find the hike- & bikeparadise Tarres Alp. Hiker, extreme hiker or mountain biker are there in good hands. On the Laces Alp, Tarres Alp and the Mountain Restaurant Tarres Alp are served local specialities.
The hike starts at the picturesque pilgrimage town Maria Trens and goes along a partially exposed and rocky forest trail up to the panorama point Gschließegg, from which you can enjoy a panoramic view over the attractive Sterzing basin.
The trail starts by the mountain station and goes in direction Edelweißhütte mountain hut. Just before the hut tunr left on the steep trail (34) and along the scree upwards to the Lotterscharte joke (2258m). Afterwards on trail 24 to the Ochsenschatre joke and furtheron over the ridge to the Rosskopf summit (2189m). Descend to the Rosskopf mountain station. Return to Ladurns with pubblic bus (313).
The farmhouse Bacherhof is locadet in the middle of nature and is ideal for families with children. Even the possibility of horseriding is waiting for you.
Take the Eisack boardwalk in Vipiteno/Sterzing and follow the trail in direction South with your view on Sprechenstein castle. By the river junction on the left along the boardwalk of the Pfitsch river to the Wiesen/Praticomunal park. Return to Vipiteno along the cycle path. Lunch possibilities: Parkbar Wiesen/Prati, Gasthaus Lex, Ristorante Hotel Wiesnerhof.
Without a doubt, the Partschinser waterfall is among the loveliest in the alpine region. It is situated in the Zieltal valley, north west of Partschins/Parcines and with a drop height of around 97 meters, plunges from 1,110 meters to 1,015 meters above sea level. The Zieltal valley and its tributary valleys and various three thousand meter-plus mountains stretch out over several kilometers to the north. To the south, the Zielbach stream flows through Salten, then past Partschins/Parcines, finally joining the river Etsch/Adige between Rabland/Rablà and Töll/Tel. The waterfall is at its most powerful during the thaw from May to June, or after heavy rainfall. At these times, up to 10,000 liters of water per second find their way down into the valley.

The Wine and Water Walk, which is actually a short hike, passes through an ancient cultural landscape of attractive terraced vineyards, and past centuries-old farmsteads to Neustift Monastery (Kloster Neustift) and the Vahrner See lake. The monastery is not only a collection of extremely beautiful buildings, but also has an excellent wine cellar, while the small lake has for decades been a protected habitat for fauna and flora.{MQ}From Rasa, the hike goes along trail no. 4 down through the vineyards, past the Strasserhof farm and on to Neustift Monastery (refreshments available). Be sure not to miss a tour of the monastery, while a visit to the church - and its magnificent Rococo decoration - is a truly memorable experience.{MQ}Cross the valley floor on trail no. 9 until you come to the village of Varna/Vahrn (refreshments available) on the other side. Here you walk a short way alongside the babbling Schalderer Bach stream until you come to the Kneipp pool – a great opportunity to cool down your hot feet – before continuing on the Chestnut Trail (Keschtnweg no. 1) along an easy forest road to the Vahrner See lake (refreshments available). After completing a circuit of the lake you return towards Varna on trail no. 1. Go under the motorway and continue on trail no. 1 down to the Eisack river. After the bridge, go left for about 100 m and then turn right onto the Törggelesteig trail no. 8A. Follow this up towards Rasa, then just before the village take trail no. 7 past the Steinraffler restaurant (refreshments available) and finally turn onto trail no. 4 back to your starting point.{MQ}As the name of the Wine and Water Walk suggests, there are ample opportunities for refreshment along the way. The fresh, aromatic Valle Isarco/Eisacktal valley white wines are highly recommended - definitely worth a trying a glass if you stop by.
Alpe di Villandro is an extended high alpine pasture above the locality of Villandro. This alpine meadow is characterised by lush green meadows, moors, lakes and grass-covered hills. Numerous refuges are spread all over, offering traditional delicacies and a great place for a rest and having a cool drink.
