Wandelingen in het zuiden van Zuid-Tirol

This varied hike begins in Lower Valdaora and follows trail no. 32B towards Bad Bergfall. The well-marked path winds through peaceful forest sections and offers lovely views of the surrounding mountains. It's a great choice for warm days, as much of the route is shaded and pleasantly cool. The destination is Bad Bergfall, known for its sulfur springs.

There is a table tennis, a football place, a little wood (for little pirates and bandits) and particularly peace and silence.

From Niederrasen > Camping Corones > foresty road in the woods > Neunhäusern.

Caution: use the path under the bridge of the statal road.

The malga Sattlerhütte is a very beautifully situated, rustic pasture below the Möltner Kaser. The hike can be done at any time of the year: in winter as a snowshoe tour, in autumn - when the larches turn yellow-gold, in the summer because of the lush green meadow and especially in spring, when the alpine meadows turn into a flowering sea of crocuses and other spring flowers.

From the valley to the mountain huts on foot. You will be rewarded by three mountain huts that spoil you with typical delicacies!

At the traditional Albergo Kreuzweg relaxing and enjoyable hours are waiting for you. The arromatic mixture of spicy South Tyrolean food and of light mediterranean dishes is framed by cordial hospitality. From the traditional "Jausenbrettl" with Speck, over plates with Kanederli or asparagus dishes, to cakes made of buckwheat - the restaurant shows South Tyrol from a traditional side. Only fresh and regional products are used. The menu depends on the seasons.

The Völser Aicha Höfeweg farm trail is a beautiful hiking route through ancient farmsteads, mountain restaurants, vineyards and chestnut groves. This trail can be seen in all its glorious beauty in springtime when the mountain meadows are blossoming all around, and in autumn when the trees are decked in vibrant hues.

At Castle Prösels, you can take a trip back into the Middle Ages on a guided tour of the   Knights’ Hall, the castle chapel and other parts of the Renaissance castle and grounds.

From Antholz Niedertal > crossing the river to the Walderhöfe > slightly downwards to Bad Salomonsbrunn > return on path n. 1 to the starting point.

There is a beautiful panorama on the albergo, and the Gasthof Tschaufen on the Salto awaits you with an extensive menu of homemade pastries and delicious cold dishes.

The trail around Mount Sas de Putia leads through a diverse and magnificent landscape. Rugged rock, vast meadows. A flora rich in species and colours. Inside puddles you can find Alpine newts, in areas with mountain pines you can find chamois and marmots hide between rocks. The canyon of stream Moibach gives an insight into the layers of the era before the Dolomites formed.

In Pfelders you take the cablecar Grünboden-Express to Grünboden (2,000 m) and continue along the wonderful panoramic trail No 4 to the alpine hut “Faltschnal Alm” (1,871 m). The hut is situated at the tree line, at the beginning of the Faltschnal Valley, to the southwest above Pfelders. It a refreshment facility, perfect for having a rest. Here, you have a 180° panorama and an amazing view of the impressive peaks of the main chain of the Alps surrounding Pfelders. Following the trail No 4, we will first walk across fresh meadows and then we will descend through the Arolla pine forest. Once we will have arrived at the bottom of the Lazins Valley we will cross the bridge spanning the brook of Pfelders to get to the inn "Lazinserhof". Along the Merano High Mountain Trail, which in this leg crosses blossoming meadows, we will hike down the valley, past the farms of Zeppichl and return to our starting point.

This trail runs smoothly on a forest road through forests and meadows. At Frassineto you have the possibility to have a rest, to stop at one of the restaurants and to return then to Meltina by public transport (bus no. 204).

The Möltner Kaser is below the Stoanernen Mandlen and is a very beautiful alpine pasture with restaurant

Obermontani and Untermontani castles.

The new Mushroom Trail starts at the kids playground "Aue"in St. Jakob in the Pfitsch Valley near Sterzing and extends one kilometer through the forest. Information panels along the themed trail inform hikers about the world of mushrooms, their reproduction, and their uses.

The life-sized mushrooms were mainly crafted from wooden elements with a uniform design to ensure recognizability along the entire themed trail. The Mushroom Trail is easy for everyone to walk and offers children and school groups the unique opportunity to learn about the life of mushrooms. Additionally, the themed trail provides visitors with an interesting recreational activity in the forests of the Pfitsch Valley.

This project was realized by the Tourism Cooperative of Sterzing – Pfitsch – Freienfeld.

The romanesque church St.Jakob on the Langfenn is positioned on the most visible and on the highest point of the Salto (1525m). The church stands on prehistoric ground and could tell us probabely many interesting and exciting historical things. On the altar we can see Saint Jakob, the protector of all hikers, and on his side the two Patrons of the pest, Rochus and Sebastian..

Perdonig and Gaid are the mountain hamlets belonging to the municipality of Eppan with its otherwise mediterranean influences. Hiking here offers an excellent insight into mountain farming.

From the main square of Penon the path follows the the trail marked nr. 7. This path follows the road - at the fork, stay left, along the forest road, then over the hiking path to Fennhals (1031 m). At the Di Pauli residence with its small church, we proceed downward over the Römerweg – marked 2 – back to Penon (605 m).

Explore the upper part of our beautiful village Barbian/Barbiano. The tour begins in the middle of Barbiano, on the village place near the church. We go to the "Wasserfallweg" at the end of Barbian/Barbiano. There we pass the farm called "Lukas" and on the trail 6A we arrive at a saw mill. From that point we can see to streets, one goes ahead and the other pass on the right direction. We take the second one and go right until we come to the "Wieserhof". There we have to go right and take the trail nr. 3 until we pass the information sign with "Barbian" on it. Our hike ends with the trail nr. 11, which brings us back to Barbian/Barbiano.

The Pfunderer Farms Trail is a varied hike through traditional farms, forests, and meadows with wonderful views. Perfect for those wanting to experience the nature and culture of the valley.

This hike leads you to the foot of the Rosengarten massif in close proximity to the famed Vajolet Towers and on to the Haniger Schwaige mountain hut. The descent leads over vast mountain meadows and beautiful woodland down to the Plafötsch mountain hut and St. Zyprian in Tiers.

This sophisticated mountain tour brings us to the prehistoric cultural place "Omini di Pietra". Noone knows exactly for which reason these piles of stones have been built on this elevation and wherefore. In spring, the crocus blossoms on the meadows in this area are overwhelming, and in autumn the larch trees on the Salten show their most colorful side. Worth mentioning is as well the sanstone quarry of Meltina, which you will pass.

During this tour you will pass the following alpine huts, where you can stop and have a rest: Sattlerhütte, Möltner Kaser, Jenesinger-Jöchl-Alm and Lanzenschuster

After ariving at the parking place Schermoos you have two optiones: or you walk for 40 minutes to Meltina, your starting point, or you take the bus.
