From the parking lot at the Weinstraße the route proceeds into the village center, across St. Gertraud's square and into the narrow Franz-von-Fenner-Straße, following the marking number 3. The road starts steeply up through vineyards to the marking 3a towards Entiklar.  After about 100 meters towards Entiklar, the 3B path to Penon branches off to the left. Once the first houses of Hinterpenon (605m) are reached, a paved road heads north until a fork in the road (to the right, a roadside shrine). Stay to the right - also at the next fork - to descend to Entiklar (256 m) - marking 7. Upon reaching the first houses in Entiklar, the path 3A takes off to the left toward Margreid (226 m).

The Mountain Hut Hike is a special highlight of the Meran 2000 hiking area: the loop hike leads by picturesque mountain huts.

From the train station in Lasa the tour leads to the village center, past the marble Emperor Franz Josef I. (Raiffeisen square) to the parish church with cemetery and Marx church, to the marble world in the tricorn of the Lasa Marmo (visit with the Lasa marble guide).

On the bike path you will find art: “Pillars of Freedom” created by international artists (at the Marmor & Marillen festival 2017). The view follows the sloped railway to the Monte Tramontana mountain and up to the “Bremsberg”, where, with a bit of luck, the train transports a block of marble weighing several tons into the valley. At the Bagni square, the marble fountain refreshes with a view over the river Adige to “Pfeiler and Koundl”. The marble walkway leads to the way of the cross, which goes through the orchards to the sanctuary of Maria Lourdes.

Back in the village, the path leads past the “Johannes Steinhäuser” school for stonecarving and numerous artworks, to the hill of St. Sisinius church - 360° panorama: Monte Sole mountain, Sesvenna group, Stelvio National Park, Lasa Valley with the Croda Jenne, fruit and vegetable gardens.

From the main square of Penon the path follows the the trail marked nr. 7. This path follows the road - at the fork, stay left, along the forest road, then over the hiking path to Fennhals (1031 m). At the Di Pauli residence with its small church, we proceed downward over the Römerweg – marked 2 – back to Penon (605 m).

The Three-Alpine-Farms Hike, which leads to three different alpine farms, affords fabulous views as it leads hikers through the plateau’s unique winterlandscape and past the Bruggen Pond.

A varied circular hike that takes you to South Tyrol's most impressive waterfall, the famous fountain "Elisabethquelle" through picturesque alpine landscapes and cozy rest stops – a perfect combination of nature, activity, and enjoyment!

Dear hiker, can i give you a hiking tip? The "Hirtensteig" themed path offers you an understanding of the herder's life, the livestock and the special features of one of the largest community alpine pasture systems in Europe not just today but also in the distant past at five stations along the trail. 

The hike to the Moarhof Alm in Hofern starts at the Gelenke parking lot. From there, follow the "Murmeltierweg" trail, which takes you to the alpine hut in about one hour. This hike involves an elevation gain of approximately 240 meters. The path is pleasant and leads through a picturesque landscape of meadows and forests, with occasional views of the surrounding mountains. The Murmeltierweg trail is well-marked and particularly popular with families due to its ease and the interesting glimpses of nature it offers. Once you reach the Moarhof Alm, you can enjoy local specialties and soak in the relaxing atmosphere of the hut.

An entertaining alpine circuit for the entire family!                                                             

The walk takes in the idyllic village of Mazzon, amongst the vines and unspoilt natural landscape of the Monte Corno Natural Park. Mazzon is known for its excellent Pinot Noir, which thrives on the sunny slopes, and in fact wine connoisseurs know this small village as "Pinot Noir heaven". Romantice hike through the snowy winter woods, away from the bustle of the Meran 2000 ski area.

On weekly organized llama treks you have the chance to experience llamas close-up and live. On this exciting and fun family activity you take the llamas on a hike along the Educational Trail. At the Earth Pyramids the tour stops for a picnic with speck and snacks, and then returns back to Soprabolzano.

Start: Linzbach in Oberbozen

The European Long-Distance Hiking Trail E5 leads from the Atlantic Coast to the Adriatic Sea. One of the safest and most beautiful sections is from Meran 2000 to Jenesien/San Genesio.

The panorama trail from Falzeben to Kreuzjöchl is an ideal route for sporty sun worshippers.

From the main square the roout starts on a paed road, then to the right on a path leading to „Wies“. At the fence, the path turns to the right - first route H, then route 2 - and proceeds steeply upward on a forest path to the Hirschbettweiher (840 m). On the same path marked 2 we descend to a fork in the path where we go straight ahead. When the path meets the paved Kauderleweg we go to the right, where, after about a 20 inute walk, we reach the Gasthaus An der Himmelspfort inn and continue to the right back to the main square.

The Corno di Tres offers a wonderful view over the Bassa Atesina holiday region and the remaining Adige valley. The tour begins on the Favogna road, right about 3 km after Fennhals along trail 3, Corno di Tres. For a round trip, a climb over the saddle (marking 7, Fennhals) is also possible (11km, 865hm, 4h40m). Once on top, pass the Rätersteig (always sign no. 3) on the right to Fenner Joch (1563 m). From there on, the somewhat steep Barbara path to the summit. In the same way back to Favogna.
