The mountain pastures tour starts at the fire station of Obertelfes/Telves di Sopra. From there follow the path no. 5 for about 1,5h upwards to the mountain pasture Freundalm.
Alternative: reachable also by using the cable car Rosskopf/Monte Cavallo
Starting point: head valley Ridnaun/Val Ridanna - Maiern/Masseria (1.417m)
Start at the gate and follow the asphalted road uphill, very steep at first, then a little flatter after 800m. At the bridge we turn left and follow the signposts to the mountain pasture Moarerbergalm. After the Poschhaus ruin we turn off to the right and hike approx. 200m to the mountain pasture Moarerbergalm.
Alternative: reachable by using the bus of the Mining Museum, registration required (Tel. +39 0472 756729)
"A very long, but not difficult and scenically spellbinding hike along the Carnic Ridge (Karnischer Kamm).
This well-marked Alpine ridgeway really demands some stamina, as it climbs repeatedly up and down along the ridge, taking in several mountain peaks; here and there you also get to enjoy a pretty little lake. The route offers magnificent views of the mountains of South and East Tyrol, and in particular of the Sexten Dolomites. Along the ridge you will come across many historical traces of the First World War, a military cemetery and various border constructions. The trail is partly in Italy and partly in Austria.
Ideal for those who do not like long hikes! Continue on the road Jaufenstraße with direction Jaufenpass by car or hiking shuttle. 2 km before the pass Jaufenpass a small road branches from the main road- well marked with "Kalcheralm". Right at the entrance is a large parking lot. From there it is only about 45 minutes to the pasture.
Tip: On the occasion you can also drive up to the alpine pass Jaufenpass and enjoy the magnificent panorama over the Passeiertal!
Alternative: Take the mountain railway in Innerratschings, from there follow the sign Kalcheralm.
Pleasant walk from Sesto, along the river (on the cycle path) to the Restaurant "Alte Säge"
Starting from Innerratsching/Racines di Dentro, shortly after the farm “Pulvererhof” behind the Hotel Larchhof, follow the path no. 10, which leads over a bridge and then continue on a bit steeper path until you reach a tree line. Continue towards the mountain pasture Inner Wumblsalm. Alternative: reachable also by using the cable car Ratschings-Jaufen along the Ratschinger Almenweg.

The Knieberg juts out a little from the Carnic Ridge extending south-eastwards from the peak of the Helm, offering outstanding views both of the Sexten Dolomites to the south-east and down into the Cadore-Piavetal valley. This trail still bears many traces of the First World War.
Starting point: Entholz – Gasse (1.438m)
From the hamlet “Gasse” in Ridanna drive on asphalted road southwards to the group of farmhouses Entholz. From Entholz hike through the forest and follow path no. 25 towards the mountain pasture Outer Wurzeralm (no service).
Alternative: reachable also across Pratone on asphalted road
A moderately difficult tour from the Val Fiscalina/Fischleintal valley, with a fantastic view of the Tre Cime/Drei Zinnen (“Three peaks”). Starting point: Parking Val Fiscalina Highest point: 2539
From Gasse in Ridnaun/Ridanna turn left in direction “Entholz”. At the sign to the upper Gewingesalm drive on about 2 kilometers to a wooden bridge and further on to the Steinhöfen, where you can park your car. From here further on, first along a forest path until you reach a forest clearing, from where you hike left on a forest path a bit steeper uphill to mountain meadows. From there follow a forest path to the mountain hut Zunderspitzhütte and after about 20 minutes you reach the upper Gewingesalm.
Alternative 1: starting from Maiern/Masseria behind the Hotel Schneeberg – walking time 2h. Alternative 2: starting from Ried at the fire station – park area Gewingeshof – walking time 2,5h.
Starting from Pardaun/farm Platzhof (parking in Pardaun, no available parking at the farm Platzhof). In front of the farm Platzhof to the left, at first follow a wider path, no. 25, which tightens to a narrow path through the woods and leads into a steeper climb towards the timberline. Then with a wonderful panoramic view along the broad ridge of the mountain to the large summit plateau with its cross. The return follows the same route as the ascent.
Variant: Starting from Gasse/Entholz along the path no. 24 and later on the path no. 25 to the pasture Wurzeralm. Always on path no. 25 it goes up to the Mareiter Stein. The return goes first on the path no. 25 and then on path no. 25B to the pasture Kerschbaumeralm. Contiune on path no. 23 to the Joggelealm and in the descent briefly on path 24B and 24A down to Gasse. Duration 5 hours.
The Three Peaks are the symbol of the holiday region 3 Zinnen in the Dolomites: They belong to the most famous mountains of the Dolomites. This is a very special accolade that confirms not only the globally unique character and incomparable beauty of this mountainous landscape, but also its integrity.
Ideal for a walk, as a start for the Sesto circuit or if you just want to feel the silence and energy of the forest.
Starting point is the hamlet Schluppes at the end of the Jaufental valley. From this point first you go 600 meters along a forest and then on the path no. 12 further into the valley. Turn left at the sign Mittagsspitze/no. 16 and walk up the quite steep way through the mountain forest. Continue on the marked trail over the tree line and towards the avalanche barrier under the mountain Mittagsspitze. The last piece again steeply along the ridge, to the summit cross at 2052 m. Hike the same path back to reach the starting point.
The descent from Talle to Verdins, via Videgg and the Streitwelder Alm, lasts approx. 3 hours and is a refreshing change, especially on hot summer days. Even when the weather is changeable, this hike takes a pleasant route which mostly goes through the Verdins forests, offering protection from the elements. The ascent to Tall is made with the Verdins cable car.
This easy round walk brings you on the top of the Mount Elmo. It is one of the most beautiful vista points and offers a 360 ° view with the central Alps mountains in the north and the many, many Dolomites peaks in the south. This tour is ok also for a half day trip.

An exciting hike through the remote Altensteintal valley past the Three Peaks (Drei Zinnen) with a view of the Zwölferkofel and Einser. There could barely be a more stunning hike.
This hike leads to one of the most beautiful high plateaus in South Tyrol in the heart of the Fanes-Sennes-Braies nature park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Plätzwiese high plateau fascinates with an overwhelming view of the surrounding mountains of the Dolomites. Dominating everything is the northernmost 3000 metre peak in the Dolomites - the Hohe Gaisl (3146m).
Please note: Due to the temperature fluctuations, there may be icy patches on the trails and we therefore recommend the use of crampons!
From the hamlet Gasse in the valley Ridnauntal past the farm group Entholz. Go up on path no. 24 through meadows and woods to the pasture Joggelealm. Passing the pasture Joggelealm, the path continues to the lake Fuchssee, from there following the markings to the small summit plateau with a new summit cross. The return follows the same route as the ascent.
Variant: From the valley Ridnauntal follow path no. 26 through the valley of Valtigl until shortly before the pass. Then follow a wellmarked path without numbering alongside the pastures to the rewarding panoramic mountain Einachspitz. From there follow the red-white marking, past the small lake Fuchsee, through the mountain pasture Joggelealm and the new forest road to the starting point.
Starting from St. Anton/S. Antonio, a steep forest path at the beginning leads past the Gringer Wiese to the Platschjoch, where it then runs only slightly upwards past the Gostjöchl to the chapel below the Jaufensteg/Passo Giovo. Very nice views into the valleys Ratschingstal/Val Racines and Jaufental/Val Giovo. From the chapel you can descend towards Schluppes/Casalupa into the valley and hike back to the starting point.
This hike starts in Maiern/Masseria, at the valley head of Ridnaun/Ridanna. Cross the Ridnaun river at the bridge and keep go left towards the mountain pasture Aglsbodenalm. At an altitude of 1.560m turn right to the mountain pasture Prischeralm. From there go steeply uphill on a forest path to the mountain pasture.
Alternative: reachable also from the mountain station Rosskopf Monte Cavallo across the Ridnauner Höhenweg
The hiking tour to the mountain pasture Outer Wumblsalm (no service!) starts in Ratschings/Racines about 800 meters towards Bichl/Colle. There is a crossway, where a road branches off on the right side to the guesthouse Seeberhof. On the left side branches off the path no. 15 to the Outer Wumblsalm. Alternative: reachable also by using the cable car Ratschings-Jaufen across the Ratschinger Almenweg.
A wonderful hike through the larch forests from Sexten to the Innerfeldtal Valley with a direct view of the mountains.
