This easy hike leads through the sunny vineyards on the steep slopes of Leitach, north of Klausen/Chiusa. Along the way, a series of info boards illustrate the history of winemaking in South Tyrol, describing the different grape varietals and wines of Klausen.
The excursion is located very beautiful and you walk between green meadows and woods. It extends on a big part on the back of the altiplano "Tschöggelberg", from Avelengo to Lavenna, the highest point of the Salto.
The romanesque church St.Jakob on the Langfenn is positioned on the most visible and on the highest point of the Salto (1525m). The church stands on prehistoric ground and could tell us probabely many interesting and exciting historical things. On the altar we can see Saint Jakob, the protector of all hikers, and on his side the two Patrons of the pest, Rochus and Sebastian..
Belpiano/Schöneben – Rojen – Resia/Reschen A two-and-a-half-hour, easy winter hike around the Passo di Resia/Reschenpass Belpiano/Schöneben – Rojen – Resia/Reschen Starting point: Belpiano/Schöneben
A line of chestnut groves extends from the abbey of Novacella/Neustift near Bressanone/Brixen all along the slopes of the Isarco Valley as far as the high plateau of the Rittner and down into the Bolzano/Bozen valley as far as Runkelstein castle with its fabled frescoes: the ideal route for the “Keschtnweg”. It should not only be thought of as an Autumn excursion though, because the landscape is extremely attractive all year round thanks to the diverse vegetation of the area.
First stage with starting point in Bolzano Bozen: from Roncolo castle to Auna di Sotto-Unterinn on the highplateau of Renon-Ritten
From the castle choose the way n. 2 and than follow the n. 2A until the cross path with the n. 6. Continue on the n. 6 until Signato-Signat and than proceed along the way n. 13 until the destination, Auna di Sotto-Unterinn.
This walk leads from Laion to Ceves and up to the Unterpulghütte hut, and from there to Pedrutsch and back along the Poststeig trail. Along the way there are beatiful views of the Dolomites.
The 12 km long knight tour passes by as many as seven castles, ruins and residences. The cultural exploration trail is also suitable for inexperienced hikers and is also suitable for those with buggy if you miss out the "Bierkeller" and Plima bridge sections.
This relaxed walk does not require any experience or sure-footedness: It runs along an easy path which is also suitable for children.
Beautiful mountain hike with a wonderful view of the Merano region and the surrounding mountain scenery. There are some alpine pastures along the way that invite you to stop and relax.
Ridnaun High Trail - a panoramic hike in the mining valley By the Rosskopf mountain station in Sterzing / Vipiteno in direction west to the mountain huts Kuhalm and Ochsenalm (mark 23). After the hut Ochesenalm on hike no. 23b, passing downside the summits Telfer Weissen, Wetterspitz and Seeberspitz. After 4 hours you will arrive to the mountain hut Prischeralm. Descend on trail no. 27 to Maiern/Ridnaun and return to Sterzing with the public bus (312).
Surrounded by larch forests and alpine meadows, the mountain inn is located in the northern part of the plateau Salten, above Flaas. On the Lanzenschusterhof homemade dishes are a priority: hearty starters with alpine wild plants, fine specialities of ox meet traditional South Tyrolean cuisine. You can relax on the sun terrace while the children play on the playground or watch the animals at the petting zoo. During the summer often barbeques and live music are waiting for you.
The Leitenrundweg circular hiking trail runs through the forest beside the Mauls village. A nice panoramic view on the Isarco valley, the valley of trails, is waiting at the highest point.
An easy and interesting mountain hike which is not too strenuous, ideal for families. Starting at Schöneben/Belpiano mountain station, a gently rising hiking trail leads up to the edge of the forest with wonderful views of the mountain scenery, the imposing glacier giants of the Weißkugel and Ortler mountains and the turquoise Resia Lake. The descent to the Haideralm/Malga S. Valentino is easily manageable. From the Haideralm to the village of St. Valentin either hike or take the cable car. Use public transport to get from St. Valentin back to Reschen.
Note: It is also possible to start this hike from the Haideralm.
The High Alpine Trail of Planeil runs on an ancient irrigation channel path and is split into 3 sections

Before the construction of the road connection to Val Gardena valley, the postman brought mail to the valley using the old Poststeig Trail.
A hike with a fantastic panorama and historical highlights. The tour starts below the sports field in Reschen/Resia. Follow the path signposted no. 2 in the direction of Plamort. Walk along the forest road for about an hour until you reach the plateau. Here you can explore the first bunkers, a complete defence system from the Second World War. If interested, follow the signs at the Oculus information board to the anti-tank barriers on the left hand side of the forest road. Alongside the anti-tank barriers to the east the path branches off to the south. A little further on, directly after the hill, a breath-taking panorama awaits you at the viewing rock. For the descent, not far from the panorama point, a narrower and steeper path no. 1A on the left leads back to Reschen.
Note: If the descent is too steep, follow the forest road instead and continue on the same route as on the ascent.
